وَجَاۤءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّعَهَا سَاۤىِٕقٌ وَّشَهِيْدٌ ٢١
- wajāat
- وَجَآءَتْ
- And will come
- kullu
- كُلُّ
- every
- nafsin
- نَفْسٍ
- soul
- maʿahā
- مَّعَهَا
- with it
- sāiqun
- سَآئِقٌ
- a driver
- washahīdun
- وَشَهِيدٌ
- and a witness
And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness. (QS. [50] Qaf: 21)Tafsir
22
لَقَدْ كُنْتَ فِيْ غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هٰذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنْكَ غِطَاۤءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ الْيَوْمَ حَدِيْدٌ ٢٢
- laqad
- لَّقَدْ
- "Certainly
- kunta
- كُنتَ
- you were
- fī
- فِى
- in
- ghaflatin
- غَفْلَةٍ
- heedlessness
- min
- مِّنْ
- of
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- this
- fakashafnā
- فَكَشَفْنَا
- So We have removed
- ʿanka
- عَنكَ
- from you
- ghiṭāaka
- غِطَآءَكَ
- your cover
- fabaṣaruka
- فَبَصَرُكَ
- so your sight
- l-yawma
- ٱلْيَوْمَ
- today
- ḥadīdun
- حَدِيدٌ
- (is) sharp"
[It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp." (QS. [50] Qaf: 22)Tafsir
23
وَقَالَ قَرِيْنُهٗ هٰذَا مَا لَدَيَّ عَتِيْدٌۗ ٢٣
- waqāla
- وَقَالَ
- And (will) say
- qarīnuhu
- قَرِينُهُۥ
- his companion
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- "This
- mā
- مَا
- (is) what
- ladayya
- لَدَىَّ
- (is) with me
- ʿatīdun
- عَتِيدٌ
- ready"
And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared." (QS. [50] Qaf: 23)Tafsir
24
اَلْقِيَا فِيْ جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيْدٍ ٢٤
- alqiyā
- أَلْقِيَا
- "Throw
- fī
- فِى
- into
- jahannama
- جَهَنَّمَ
- Hell
- kulla
- كُلَّ
- every
- kaffārin
- كَفَّارٍ
- disbeliever
- ʿanīdin
- عَنِيدٍ
- stubborn
[Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, (QS. [50] Qaf: 24)Tafsir
25
مَنَّاعٍ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ مُّرِيْبٍۙ ٢٥
- mannāʿin
- مَّنَّاعٍ
- Forbidder
- lil'khayri
- لِّلْخَيْرِ
- of good
- muʿ'tadin
- مُعْتَدٍ
- transgressor
- murībin
- مُّرِيبٍ
- doubter
Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter, (QS. [50] Qaf: 25)Tafsir
26
ۨالَّذِيْ جَعَلَ مَعَ اللّٰهِ اِلٰهًا اٰخَرَ فَاَلْقِيٰهُ فِى الْعَذَابِ الشَّدِيْدِ ٢٦
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- Who
- jaʿala
- جَعَلَ
- made
- maʿa
- مَعَ
- with
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- ilāhan
- إِلَٰهًا
- a god
- ākhara
- ءَاخَرَ
- another;
- fa-alqiyāhu
- فَأَلْقِيَاهُ
- so throw him
- fī
- فِى
- in(to)
- l-ʿadhābi
- ٱلْعَذَابِ
- the punishment
- l-shadīdi
- ٱلشَّدِيدِ
- the severe"
Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment." (QS. [50] Qaf: 26)Tafsir
27
۞ قَالَ قَرِيْنُهٗ رَبَّنَا مَآ اَطْغَيْتُهٗ وَلٰكِنْ كَانَ فِيْ ضَلٰلٍۢ بَعِيْدٍ ٢٧
- qāla
- قَالَ
- Will say
- qarīnuhu
- قَرِينُهُۥ
- his companion
- rabbanā
- رَبَّنَا
- "Our Lord
- mā
- مَآ
- not
- aṭghaytuhu
- أَطْغَيْتُهُۥ
- I made him transgress
- walākin
- وَلَٰكِن
- but
- kāna
- كَانَ
- he was
- fī
- فِى
- in
- ḍalālin
- ضَلَٰلٍۭ
- error
- baʿīdin
- بَعِيدٍ
- far"
His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error." (QS. [50] Qaf: 27)Tafsir
28
قَالَ لَا تَخْتَصِمُوْا لَدَيَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ اِلَيْكُمْ بِالْوَعِيْدِ ٢٨
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He will say
- lā
- لَا
- "(Do) not
- takhtaṣimū
- تَخْتَصِمُوا۟
- dispute
- ladayya
- لَدَىَّ
- (in) My presence
- waqad
- وَقَدْ
- and indeed
- qaddamtu
- قَدَّمْتُ
- I sent forth
- ilaykum
- إِلَيْكُم
- to you
- bil-waʿīdi
- بِٱلْوَعِيدِ
- the Warning
[Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the threat [i.e., warning]. (QS. [50] Qaf: 28)Tafsir
29
مَا يُبَدَّلُ الْقَوْلُ لَدَيَّ وَمَآ اَنَا۠ بِظَلَّامٍ لِّلْعَبِيْدِ ࣖ ٢٩
- mā
- مَا
- Not
- yubaddalu
- يُبَدَّلُ
- will be changed
- l-qawlu
- ٱلْقَوْلُ
- the word
- ladayya
- لَدَىَّ
- with Me
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- and not
- anā
- أَنَا۠
- I Am
- biẓallāmin
- بِظَلَّٰمٍ
- unjust
- lil'ʿabīdi
- لِّلْعَبِيدِ
- to My slaves"
The word [i.e., decree] will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants." (QS. [50] Qaf: 29)Tafsir
30
يَوْمَ نَقُوْلُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ امْتَلَـْٔتِ وَتَقُوْلُ هَلْ مِنْ مَّزِيْدٍ ٣٠
- yawma
- يَوْمَ
- (The) Day
- naqūlu
- نَقُولُ
- We will say
- lijahannama
- لِجَهَنَّمَ
- to Hell
- hali
- هَلِ
- "Are
- im'talati
- ٱمْتَلَأْتِ
- you filled?"
- wataqūlu
- وَتَقُولُ
- And it will say
- hal
- هَلْ
- "Are
- min
- مِن
- (there) any
- mazīdin
- مَّزِيدٍ
- more?"
On the Day We will say to Hell, "Have you been filled?" and it will say, "Are there some more," (QS. [50] Qaf: 30)Tafsir
