رِّزْقًا لِّلْعِبَادِۙ وَاَحْيَيْنَا بِهٖ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًاۗ كَذٰلِكَ الْخُرُوْجُ ١١
- riz'qan
- رِّزْقًا
- A provision
- lil'ʿibādi
- لِّلْعِبَادِۖ
- for the slaves
- wa-aḥyaynā
- وَأَحْيَيْنَا
- and We give life
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- therewith
- baldatan
- بَلْدَةً
- (to) a land
- maytan
- مَّيْتًاۚ
- dead
- kadhālika
- كَذَٰلِكَ
- Thus
- l-khurūju
- ٱلْخُرُوجُ
- (will be) the coming forth
As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the emergence [i.e., resurrection]. (QS. [50] Qaf: 11)Tafsir
12
كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوْحٍ وَّاَصْحٰبُ الرَّسِّ وَثَمُوْدُ ١٢
- kadhabat
- كَذَّبَتْ
- Denied
- qablahum
- قَبْلَهُمْ
- before them
- qawmu
- قَوْمُ
- (the) people
- nūḥin
- نُوحٍ
- (of) Nuh
- wa-aṣḥābu
- وَأَصْحَٰبُ
- and (the) companions
- l-rasi
- ٱلرَّسِّ
- (of) Ar-Raas
- wathamūdu
- وَثَمُودُ
- and Thamud
The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud. (QS. [50] Qaf: 12)Tafsir
13
وَعَادٌ وَّفِرْعَوْنُ وَاِخْوَانُ لُوْطٍۙ ١٣
- waʿādun
- وَعَادٌ
- And Aad
- wafir'ʿawnu
- وَفِرْعَوْنُ
- and Firaun
- wa-ikh'wānu
- وَإِخْوَٰنُ
- and (the) brothers
- lūṭin
- لُوطٍ
- (of) Lut
And Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers [i.e., people] of Lot (QS. [50] Qaf: 13)Tafsir
14
وَّاَصْحٰبُ الْاَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍۗ كُلٌّ كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيْدِ ١٤
- wa-aṣḥābu
- وَأَصْحَٰبُ
- And (the) companions
- l-aykati
- ٱلْأَيْكَةِ
- (of) the wood
- waqawmu
- وَقَوْمُ
- and (the) people
- tubbaʿin
- تُبَّعٍۚ
- (of) Tubba
- kullun
- كُلٌّ
- All
- kadhaba
- كَذَّبَ
- denied
- l-rusula
- ٱلرُّسُلَ
- the Messengers
- faḥaqqa
- فَحَقَّ
- so was fulfilled
- waʿīdi
- وَعِيدِ
- My Threat
And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. (QS. [50] Qaf: 14)Tafsir
15
اَفَعَيِيْنَا بِالْخَلْقِ الْاَوَّلِۗ بَلْ هُمْ فِيْ لَبْسٍ مِّنْ خَلْقٍ جَدِيْدٍ ࣖ ١٥
- afaʿayīnā
- أَفَعَيِينَا
- Were We then tired
- bil-khalqi
- بِٱلْخَلْقِ
- with the creation
- l-awali
- ٱلْأَوَّلِۚ
- the first?
- bal
- بَلْ
- Nay
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- fī
- فِى
- (are) in
- labsin
- لَبْسٍ
- doubt
- min
- مِّنْ
- about
- khalqin
- خَلْقٍ
- a creation
- jadīdin
- جَدِيدٍ
- new
Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation. (QS. [50] Qaf: 15)Tafsir
16
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْاِنْسَانَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهٖ نَفْسُهٗ ۖوَنَحْنُ اَقْرَبُ اِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ الْوَرِيْدِ ١٦
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- And certainly
- khalaqnā
- خَلَقْنَا
- We created
- l-insāna
- ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ
- man
- wanaʿlamu
- وَنَعْلَمُ
- and We know
- mā
- مَا
- what
- tuwaswisu
- تُوَسْوِسُ
- whispers
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- to him
- nafsuhu
- نَفْسُهُۥۖ
- his soul
- wanaḥnu
- وَنَحْنُ
- and We
- aqrabu
- أَقْرَبُ
- (are) nearer
- ilayhi
- إِلَيْهِ
- to him
- min
- مِنْ
- than
- ḥabli
- حَبْلِ
- (his) jugular vein
- l-warīdi
- ٱلْوَرِيدِ
- (his) jugular vein
And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein. (QS. [50] Qaf: 16)Tafsir
17
اِذْ يَتَلَقَّى الْمُتَلَقِّيٰنِ عَنِ الْيَمِيْنِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ قَعِيْدٌ ١٧
- idh
- إِذْ
- When
- yatalaqqā
- يَتَلَقَّى
- receive
- l-mutalaqiyāni
- ٱلْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ
- the two receivers
- ʿani
- عَنِ
- on
- l-yamīni
- ٱلْيَمِينِ
- the right
- waʿani
- وَعَنِ
- and on
- l-shimāli
- ٱلشِّمَالِ
- the left
- qaʿīdun
- قَعِيدٌ
- seated
When the two receivers [i.e., recording angels] receive, seated on the right and on the left. (QS. [50] Qaf: 17)Tafsir
18
مَا يَلْفِظُ مِنْ قَوْلٍ اِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيْبٌ عَتِيْدٌ ١٨
- mā
- مَّا
- Not
- yalfiẓu
- يَلْفِظُ
- he utters
- min
- مِن
- any
- qawlin
- قَوْلٍ
- word
- illā
- إِلَّا
- but
- ladayhi
- لَدَيْهِ
- with him
- raqībun
- رَقِيبٌ
- (is) an observer
- ʿatīdun
- عَتِيدٌ
- ready
He [i.e., man] utters no word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]. (QS. [50] Qaf: 18)Tafsir
19
وَجَاۤءَتْ سَكْرَةُ الْمَوْتِ بِالْحَقِّ ۗذٰلِكَ مَا كُنْتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيْدُ ١٩
- wajāat
- وَجَآءَتْ
- And will come
- sakratu
- سَكْرَةُ
- (the) stupor
- l-mawti
- ٱلْمَوْتِ
- (of) death
- bil-ḥaqi
- بِٱلْحَقِّۖ
- in truth
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- "That
- mā
- مَا
- (is) what
- kunta
- كُنتَ
- you were
- min'hu
- مِنْهُ
- [from it]
- taḥīdu
- تَحِيدُ
- avoiding"
And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid. (QS. [50] Qaf: 19)Tafsir
20
وَنُفِخَ فِى الصُّوْرِۗ ذٰلِكَ يَوْمُ الْوَعِيْدِ ٢٠
- wanufikha
- وَنُفِخَ
- And will be blown
- fī
- فِى
- [in]
- l-ṣūri
- ٱلصُّورِۚ
- the trumpet
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- yawmu
- يَوْمُ
- (is the) Day
- l-waʿīdi
- ٱلْوَعِيدِ
- (of) the Warning
And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. (QS. [50] Qaf: 20)Tafsir
