Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Ma'idah Verse 120
Al-Ma'idah [5]: 120 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
لِلّٰهِ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَمَا فِيْهِنَّ ۗوَهُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ ࣖ (المائدة : ٥)
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِ
- To Allah (belongs)
- mul'ku
- مُلْكُ
- the dominion
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- (of) the heavens
- wal-arḍi
- وَٱلْأَرْضِ
- and the earth
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and what
- fīhinna
- فِيهِنَّۚ
- (is) in them
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- And He
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- (is) on
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- every
- shayin
- شَىْءٍ

- قَدِيرٌۢ
- All-Powerful
Transliteration:
Lillaahi mulkus samaawaati wal ardi wa maa feehinn; wa Huwa 'alaa kulli shain'in Qadeer(QS. al-Māʾidah:120)
English / Sahih Translation:
To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is within them. And He is over all things competent. (QS. Al-Ma'idah, ayah 120)

Tafsir jalalayn
To God belongs the kingdom of the heavens and of the earth, the storehouses of rain, vegetation, sustenance and everything else, and all that is in them (wa-m fhinna; the use of m, `that', indicates the predominance of all those non-rational creations); and He has power over all things, including the rewarding of the truthful and the punishing of the liar -- He is specifically addressing rational beings, for there is none among them with power over all things. [Consists of] 165 verses, all Meccan except for 20, 23, 91, 93, 114, 141, 151, 152, 153, which are Medinese and which were revealed after [srat] al-Hijr.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all that is therein, and He is able to do all things.
means, He created everything, owns everything, controls the affairs of everything and is able to do all things. Therefore, everything and everyone are in His domain and under His power and will. There is none like Him, nor is there rival, ancestor, son, or wife for Him, nor a lord or god besides Him.
Ibn Wahb said that he heard Huyay bin Abdullah saying that Abu Abdur-Rahman Al-Habli said that Abdullah bin `Amr said,
"The last revealed Surah was Surah Al-Ma'idah."
