طَاعَةٌ وَّقَوْلٌ مَّعْرُوْفٌۗ فَاِذَا عَزَمَ الْاَمْرُۗ فَلَوْ صَدَقُوا اللّٰهَ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْۚ ٢١
- ṭāʿatun
- طَاعَةٌ
- (Is) obedience
- waqawlun
- وَقَوْلٌ
- and a word
- maʿrūfun
- مَّعْرُوفٌۚ
- kind
- fa-idhā
- فَإِذَا
- And when
- ʿazama
- عَزَمَ
- (is) determined
- l-amru
- ٱلْأَمْرُ
- the matter
- falaw
- فَلَوْ
- then if
- ṣadaqū
- صَدَقُوا۟
- they had been true
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- (to) Allah
- lakāna
- لَكَانَ
- surely it would have been
- khayran
- خَيْرًا
- better
- lahum
- لَّهُمْ
- for them
Obedience and good words. And when the matter [of fighting] was determined, if they had been true to Allah, it would have been better for them. (QS. [47] Muhammad: 21)Tafsir
فَهَلْ عَسَيْتُمْ اِنْ تَوَلَّيْتُمْ اَنْ تُفْسِدُوْا فِى الْاَرْضِ وَتُقَطِّعُوْٓا اَرْحَامَكُمْ ٢٢
- fahal
- فَهَلْ
- Then would
- ʿasaytum
- عَسَيْتُمْ
- you perhaps
- in
- إِن
- if
- tawallaytum
- تَوَلَّيْتُمْ
- you are given authority
- an
- أَن
- that
- tuf'sidū
- تُفْسِدُوا۟
- you cause corruption
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- watuqaṭṭiʿū
- وَتُقَطِّعُوٓا۟
- and cut off
- arḥāmakum
- أَرْحَامَكُمْ
- your ties of kinship
So would you perhaps, if you turned away, cause corruption on earth and sever your [ties of] relationship? (QS. [47] Muhammad: 22)Tafsir
اُولٰۤىِٕكَ الَّذِيْنَ لَعَنَهُمُ اللّٰهُ فَاَصَمَّهُمْ وَاَعْمٰٓى اَبْصَارَهُمْ ٢٣
- ulāika
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- Those
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (are) the ones
- laʿanahumu
- لَعَنَهُمُ
- Allah has cursed them
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah has cursed them
- fa-aṣammahum
- فَأَصَمَّهُمْ
- so He made them deaf
- wa-aʿmā
- وَأَعْمَىٰٓ
- and blinded
- abṣārahum
- أَبْصَٰرَهُمْ
- their vision
Those [who do so] are the ones that Allah has cursed, so He deafened them and blinded their vision. (QS. [47] Muhammad: 23)Tafsir
اَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُوْنَ الْقُرْاٰنَ اَمْ عَلٰى قُلُوْبٍ اَقْفَالُهَا ٢٤
- afalā
- أَفَلَا
- Then do not
- yatadabbarūna
- يَتَدَبَّرُونَ
- they ponder
- l-qur'āna
- ٱلْقُرْءَانَ
- (over) the Quran
- am
- أَمْ
- or
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- upon
- qulūbin
- قُلُوبٍ
- (their) hearts
- aqfāluhā
- أَقْفَالُهَآ
- (are) locks?
Then do they not reflect upon the Quran, or are there locks upon [their] hearts? (QS. [47] Muhammad: 24)Tafsir
اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ ارْتَدُّوْا عَلٰٓى اَدْبَارِهِمْ مِّنْۢ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْهُدَى الشَّيْطٰنُ سَوَّلَ لَهُمْۗ وَاَمْلٰى لَهُمْ ٢٥
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- ir'taddū
- ٱرْتَدُّوا۟
- return
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰٓ
- on
- adbārihim
- أَدْبَٰرِهِم
- their backs
- min
- مِّنۢ
- after
- baʿdi
- بَعْدِ
- after
- mā
- مَا
- what
- tabayyana
- تَبَيَّنَ
- (has) become clear
- lahumu
- لَهُمُ
- to them
- l-hudā
- ٱلْهُدَىۙ
- the guidance
- l-shayṭānu
- ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ
- Shaitaan
- sawwala
- سَوَّلَ
- enticed
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- [for] them
- wa-amlā
- وَأَمْلَىٰ
- and prolonged hope
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
Indeed, those who reverted back [to disbelief] after guidance had become clear to them – Satan enticed them and prolonged hope for them. (QS. [47] Muhammad: 25)Tafsir
ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمْ قَالُوْا لِلَّذِيْنَ كَرِهُوْا مَا نَزَّلَ اللّٰهُ سَنُطِيْعُكُمْ فِيْ بَعْضِ الْاَمْرِۚ وَاللّٰهُ يَعْلَمُ اِسْرَارَهُمْ ٢٦
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- bi-annahum
- بِأَنَّهُمْ
- (is) because they
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- [they] said
- lilladhīna
- لِلَّذِينَ
- to those who
- karihū
- كَرِهُوا۟
- hate
- mā
- مَا
- what
- nazzala
- نَزَّلَ
- Allah has revealed
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah has revealed
- sanuṭīʿukum
- سَنُطِيعُكُمْ
- "We will obey you
- fī
- فِى
- in
- baʿḍi
- بَعْضِ
- part
- l-amri
- ٱلْأَمْرِۖ
- (of) the matter"
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- But Allah
- yaʿlamu
- يَعْلَمُ
- knows
- is'rārahum
- إِسْرَارَهُمْ
- their secrets
That is because they said to those who disliked what Allah sent down, "We will obey you in part of the matter." And Allah knows what they conceal. (QS. [47] Muhammad: 26)Tafsir
فَكَيْفَ اِذَا تَوَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةُ يَضْرِبُوْنَ وُجُوْهَهُمْ وَاَدْبَارَهُمْ ٢٧
- fakayfa
- فَكَيْفَ
- Then how
- idhā
- إِذَا
- when
- tawaffathumu
- تَوَفَّتْهُمُ
- take them in death
- l-malāikatu
- ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
- the Angels
- yaḍribūna
- يَضْرِبُونَ
- striking
- wujūhahum
- وُجُوهَهُمْ
- their faces
- wa-adbārahum
- وَأَدْبَٰرَهُمْ
- and their backs?
Then how [will it be] when the angels take them in death, striking their faces and their backs? (QS. [47] Muhammad: 27)Tafsir
ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمُ اتَّبَعُوْا مَآ اَسْخَطَ اللّٰهَ وَكَرِهُوْا رِضْوَانَهٗ فَاَحْبَطَ اَعْمَالَهُمْ ࣖ ٢٨
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- bi-annahumu
- بِأَنَّهُمُ
- (is) because they
- ittabaʿū
- ٱتَّبَعُوا۟
- followed
- mā
- مَآ
- what
- askhaṭa
- أَسْخَطَ
- angered
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- wakarihū
- وَكَرِهُوا۟
- and hated
- riḍ'wānahu
- رِضْوَٰنَهُۥ
- His pleasure
- fa-aḥbaṭa
- فَأَحْبَطَ
- so He made worthless
- aʿmālahum
- أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ
- their deeds
That is because they followed what angered Allah and disliked [what earns] His pleasure, so He rendered worthless their deeds. (QS. [47] Muhammad: 28)Tafsir
اَمْ حَسِبَ الَّذِيْنَ فِيْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ مَّرَضٌ اَنْ لَّنْ يُّخْرِجَ اللّٰهُ اَضْغَانَهُمْ ٢٩
- am
- أَمْ
- Or do
- ḥasiba
- حَسِبَ
- think
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- fī
- فِى
- in
- qulūbihim
- قُلُوبِهِم
- their hearts
- maraḍun
- مَّرَضٌ
- (is) a disease
- an
- أَن
- that
- lan
- لَّن
- never
- yukh'rija
- يُخْرِجَ
- will Allah bring forth
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- will Allah bring forth
- aḍghānahum
- أَضْغَٰنَهُمْ
- their hatred?
Or do those in whose hearts is disease think that Allah would never expose their [feelings of] hatred? (QS. [47] Muhammad: 29)Tafsir
وَلَوْ نَشَاۤءُ لَاَرَيْنٰكَهُمْ فَلَعَرَفْتَهُمْ بِسِيْمٰهُمْ ۗوَلَتَعْرِفَنَّهُمْ فِيْ لَحْنِ الْقَوْلِۗ وَاللّٰهُ يَعْلَمُ اَعْمَالَكُمْ ٣٠
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- And if
- nashāu
- نَشَآءُ
- We willed
- la-araynākahum
- لَأَرَيْنَٰكَهُمْ
- surely We could show them to you
- falaʿaraftahum
- فَلَعَرَفْتَهُم
- and you would know them
- bisīmāhum
- بِسِيمَٰهُمْۚ
- by their marks;
- walataʿrifannahum
- وَلَتَعْرِفَنَّهُمْ
- but surely you will know them
- fī
- فِى
- by
- laḥni
- لَحْنِ
- (the) tone
- l-qawli
- ٱلْقَوْلِۚ
- (of their) speech
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- yaʿlamu
- يَعْلَمُ
- knows
- aʿmālakum
- أَعْمَٰلَكُمْ
- your deeds
And if We willed, We could show them to you, and you would know them by their mark; but you will surely know them by the tone of [their] speech. And Allah knows your deeds. (QS. [47] Muhammad: 30)Tafsir
