31
وَاَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْاۗ اَفَلَمْ تَكُنْ اٰيٰتِيْ تُتْلٰى عَلَيْكُمْ فَاسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ وَكُنْتُمْ قَوْمًا مُّجْرِمِيْنَ ٣١
- wa-ammā
- وَأَمَّا
- But as for
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوٓا۟
- disbelieved
- afalam
- أَفَلَمْ
- "Then were not
- takun
- تَكُنْ
- "Then were not
- āyātī
- ءَايَٰتِى
- My Verses
- tut'lā
- تُتْلَىٰ
- recited
- ʿalaykum
- عَلَيْكُمْ
- to you
- fa-is'takbartum
- فَٱسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ
- but you were proud
- wakuntum
- وَكُنتُمْ
- and you became
- qawman
- قَوْمًا
- a people
- muj'rimīna
- مُّجْرِمِينَ
- criminals?"
But as for those who disbelieved, [it will be said], "Were not Our verses recited to you, but you were arrogant and became a criminal people? (QS. [45] Al-Jathiyah: 31)Tafsir
32
وَاِذَا قِيْلَ اِنَّ وَعْدَ اللّٰهِ حَقٌّ وَّالسَّاعَةُ لَا رَيْبَ فِيْهَا قُلْتُمْ مَّا نَدْرِيْ مَا السَّاعَةُۙ اِنْ نَّظُنُّ اِلَّا ظَنًّا وَّمَا نَحْنُ بِمُسْتَيْقِنِيْنَ ٣٢
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- qīla
- قِيلَ
- it was said
- inna
- إِنَّ
- "indeed
- waʿda
- وَعْدَ
- (the) Promise
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- ḥaqqun
- حَقٌّ
- (is) true
- wal-sāʿatu
- وَٱلسَّاعَةُ
- and the Hour -
- lā
- لَا
- (there is) no
- rayba
- رَيْبَ
- doubt
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- about it
- qul'tum
- قُلْتُم
- you said
- mā
- مَّا
- "Not
- nadrī
- نَدْرِى
- we know
- mā
- مَا
- what
- l-sāʿatu
- ٱلسَّاعَةُ
- the Hour (is)
- in
- إِن
- Not
- naẓunnu
- نَّظُنُّ
- we think
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- ẓannan
- ظَنًّا
- an assumption
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- naḥnu
- نَحْنُ
- we
- bimus'tayqinīna
- بِمُسْتَيْقِنِينَ
- (are) convinced"
And when it was said, 'Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth and the Hour [is coming] – no doubt about it,' you said, 'We know not what is the Hour. We assume only assumption, and we are not convinced.'" (QS. [45] Al-Jathiyah: 32)Tafsir
33
وَبَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّاٰتُ مَا عَمِلُوْا وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَّا كَانُوْا بِهٖ يَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ ٣٣
- wabadā
- وَبَدَا
- And (will) appear
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- to them
- sayyiātu
- سَيِّـَٔاتُ
- (the) evil
- mā
- مَا
- (of) what
- ʿamilū
- عَمِلُوا۟
- they did
- waḥāqa
- وَحَاقَ
- and (will) envelop
- bihim
- بِهِم
- them
- mā
- مَّا
- what
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- [at it]
- yastahziūna
- يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
- (to) mock
And the evil consequences of what they did will appear to them, and they will be enveloped by what they used to ridicule. (QS. [45] Al-Jathiyah: 33)Tafsir
34
وَقِيْلَ الْيَوْمَ نَنْسٰىكُمْ كَمَا نَسِيْتُمْ لِقَاۤءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هٰذَاۙ وَمَأْوٰىكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ نّٰصِرِيْنَ ٣٤
- waqīla
- وَقِيلَ
- And it will be said
- l-yawma
- ٱلْيَوْمَ
- "Today
- nansākum
- نَنسَىٰكُمْ
- We forget you
- kamā
- كَمَا
- as
- nasītum
- نَسِيتُمْ
- you forgot
- liqāa
- لِقَآءَ
- (the) meeting
- yawmikum
- يَوْمِكُمْ
- (of) this Day of yours
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- (of) this Day of yours
- wamawākumu
- وَمَأْوَىٰكُمُ
- and your abode
- l-nāru
- ٱلنَّارُ
- (is) the Fire
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- lakum
- لَكُم
- for you
- min
- مِّن
- any
- nāṣirīna
- نَّٰصِرِينَ
- helpers
And it will be said, "Today We will forget you as you forgot the meeting of this Day of yours, and your refuge is the Fire, and for you there are no helpers. (QS. [45] Al-Jathiyah: 34)Tafsir
35
ذٰلِكُمْ بِاَنَّكُمُ اتَّخَذْتُمْ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ هُزُوًا وَّغَرَّتْكُمُ الْحَيٰوةُ الدُّنْيَا ۚفَالْيَوْمَ لَا يُخْرَجُوْنَ مِنْهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُوْنَ ٣٥
- dhālikum
- ذَٰلِكُم
- That
- bi-annakumu
- بِأَنَّكُمُ
- (is) because you
- ittakhadhtum
- ٱتَّخَذْتُمْ
- took
- āyāti
- ءَايَٰتِ
- (the) Verses
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- huzuwan
- هُزُوًا
- (in) ridicule
- wagharratkumu
- وَغَرَّتْكُمُ
- and deceived you
- l-ḥayatu
- ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ
- the life
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَاۚ
- (of) the world"
- fal-yawma
- فَٱلْيَوْمَ
- So this Day
- lā
- لَا
- not
- yukh'rajūna
- يُخْرَجُونَ
- they will be brought forth
- min'hā
- مِنْهَا
- from it
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- yus'taʿtabūna
- يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ
- will be asked to appease
That is because you took the verses of Allah in ridicule, and worldly life deluded you." So that Day they will not be removed from it, nor will they be asked to appease [Allah]. (QS. [45] Al-Jathiyah: 35)Tafsir
36
فَلِلّٰهِ الْحَمْدُ رَبِّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَرَبِّ الْاَرْضِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ٣٦
- falillahi
- فَلِلَّهِ
- Then for Allah
- l-ḥamdu
- ٱلْحَمْدُ
- (is) all the praise
- rabbi
- رَبِّ
- (the) Lord
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- (of) the heavens
- warabbi
- وَرَبِّ
- and (the) Lord
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- (of) the earth
- rabbi
- رَبِّ
- (the) lord
- l-ʿālamīna
- ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
- (of) the worlds
Then, to Allah belongs [all] praise – Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, Lord of the worlds. (QS. [45] Al-Jathiyah: 36)Tafsir
37
وَلَهُ الْكِبْرِيَاۤءُ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ ۗوَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُ ࣖ ۔ ٣٧
- walahu
- وَلَهُ
- And for Him
- l-kib'riyāu
- ٱلْكِبْرِيَآءُ
- (is) the greatness
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- the heavens
- wal-arḍi
- وَٱلْأَرْضِۖ
- and the earth
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- and He
- l-ʿazīzu
- ٱلْعَزِيزُ
- (is) the All-Mighty
- l-ḥakīmu
- ٱلْحَكِيمُ
- the All-Wise
And to Him belongs [all] grandeur within the heavens and the earth, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (QS. [45] Al-Jathiyah: 37)Tafsir
