اَمْ حَسِبَ الَّذِيْنَ اجْتَرَحُوا السَّيِّاٰتِ اَنْ نَّجْعَلَهُمْ كَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ سَوَاۤءً مَّحْيَاهُمْ وَمَمَاتُهُمْ ۗسَاۤءَ مَا يَحْكُمُوْنَ ࣖࣖ ٢١
- am
- أَمْ
- Do
- ḥasiba
- حَسِبَ
- think
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- ij'taraḥū
- ٱجْتَرَحُوا۟
- commit
- l-sayiāti
- ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ
- evil deeds
- an
- أَن
- that
- najʿalahum
- نَّجْعَلَهُمْ
- We will make them
- ka-alladhīna
- كَٱلَّذِينَ
- like those
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- who believed
- waʿamilū
- وَعَمِلُوا۟
- and did
- l-ṣāliḥāti
- ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
- righteous deeds
- sawāan
- سَوَآءً
- equal
- maḥyāhum
- مَّحْيَاهُمْ
- (in) their life
- wamamātuhum
- وَمَمَاتُهُمْۚ
- and their death?
- sāa
- سَآءَ
- Evil is
- mā
- مَا
- what
- yaḥkumūna
- يَحْكُمُونَ
- they judge!
Or do those who commit evils think We will make them like those who have believed and done righteous deeds – [make them] equal in their life and their death? Evil is that which they judge [i.e., assume]. (QS. [45] Al-Jathiyah: 21)Tafsir
وَخَلَقَ اللّٰهُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ وَلِتُجْزٰى كُلُّ نَفْسٍۢ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُوْنَ ٢٢
- wakhalaqa
- وَخَلَقَ
- And Allah created
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- And Allah created
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- the heavens
- wal-arḍa
- وَٱلْأَرْضَ
- and the earth
- bil-ḥaqi
- بِٱلْحَقِّ
- in truth
- walituj'zā
- وَلِتُجْزَىٰ
- and that may be recompensed
- kullu
- كُلُّ
- every
- nafsin
- نَفْسٍۭ
- soul
- bimā
- بِمَا
- for what
- kasabat
- كَسَبَتْ
- it has earned
- wahum
- وَهُمْ
- and they
- lā
- لَا
- will not be wronged
- yuẓ'lamūna
- يُظْلَمُونَ
- will not be wronged
And Allah created the heavens and earth in truth and so that every soul may be recompensed for what it has earned, and they will not be wronged. (QS. [45] Al-Jathiyah: 22)Tafsir
اَفَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ اِلٰهَهٗ هَوٰىهُ وَاَضَلَّهُ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى عِلْمٍ وَّخَتَمَ عَلٰى سَمْعِهٖ وَقَلْبِهٖ وَجَعَلَ عَلٰى بَصَرِهٖ غِشٰوَةًۗ فَمَنْ يَّهْدِيْهِ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ اللّٰهِ ۗ اَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُوْنَ ٢٣
- afara-ayta
- أَفَرَءَيْتَ
- Have you seen
- mani
- مَنِ
- (he) who
- ittakhadha
- ٱتَّخَذَ
- takes
- ilāhahu
- إِلَٰهَهُۥ
- (as) his god
- hawāhu
- هَوَىٰهُ
- his desire
- wa-aḍallahu
- وَأَضَلَّهُ
- and Allah lets him go astray
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- and Allah lets him go astray
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- knowingly
- ʿil'min
- عِلْمٍ
- knowingly
- wakhatama
- وَخَتَمَ
- and He sets a seal
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- upon
- samʿihi
- سَمْعِهِۦ
- his hearing
- waqalbihi
- وَقَلْبِهِۦ
- and his heart
- wajaʿala
- وَجَعَلَ
- and puts
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- over
- baṣarihi
- بَصَرِهِۦ
- his vision
- ghishāwatan
- غِشَٰوَةً
- a veil?
- faman
- فَمَن
- Then who
- yahdīhi
- يَهْدِيهِ
- will guide him
- min
- مِنۢ
- after
- baʿdi
- بَعْدِ
- after
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۚ
- Allah?
- afalā
- أَفَلَا
- Then will not
- tadhakkarūna
- تَذَكَّرُونَ
- you receive admonition?
Have you seen he who has taken as his god his [own] desire, and Allah has sent him astray due to knowledge and has set a seal upon his hearing and his heart and put over his vision a veil? So who will guide him after Allah? Then will you not be reminded? (QS. [45] Al-Jathiyah: 23)Tafsir
وَقَالُوْا مَا هِيَ اِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا نَمُوْتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا يُهْلِكُنَآ اِلَّا الدَّهْرُۚ وَمَا لَهُمْ بِذٰلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍۚ اِنْ هُمْ اِلَّا يَظُنُّوْنَ ٢٤
- waqālū
- وَقَالُوا۟
- And they say
- mā
- مَا
- "Not
- hiya
- هِىَ
- it
- illā
- إِلَّا
- (is) but
- ḥayātunā
- حَيَاتُنَا
- our life
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَا
- (of) the world
- namūtu
- نَمُوتُ
- we die
- wanaḥyā
- وَنَحْيَا
- and we live
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- yuh'likunā
- يُهْلِكُنَآ
- destroys us
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- l-dahru
- ٱلدَّهْرُۚ
- the time"
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- lahum
- لَهُم
- for them
- bidhālika
- بِذَٰلِكَ
- of that
- min
- مِنْ
- any
- ʿil'min
- عِلْمٍۖ
- knowledge;
- in
- إِنْ
- not
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- illā
- إِلَّا
- (do) but
- yaẓunnūna
- يَظُنُّونَ
- guess
And they say, "There is not but our worldly life; we die and live, and nothing destroys us except time." And they have of that no knowledge; they are only assuming. (QS. [45] Al-Jathiyah: 24)Tafsir
وَاِذَا تُتْلٰى عَلَيْهِمْ اٰيٰتُنَا بَيِّنٰتٍ مَّا كَانَ حُجَّتَهُمْ اِلَّآ اَنْ قَالُوا ائْتُوْا بِاٰبَاۤىِٕنَآ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِيْنَ ٢٥
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- tut'lā
- تُتْلَىٰ
- are recited
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- to them
- āyātunā
- ءَايَٰتُنَا
- Our Verses
- bayyinātin
- بَيِّنَٰتٍ
- clear
- mā
- مَّا
- not
- kāna
- كَانَ
- is
- ḥujjatahum
- حُجَّتَهُمْ
- their argument
- illā
- إِلَّآ
- except
- an
- أَن
- that
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- they say
- i'tū
- ٱئْتُوا۟
- "Bring
- biābāinā
- بِـَٔابَآئِنَآ
- our forefathers
- in
- إِن
- if
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you are
- ṣādiqīna
- صَٰدِقِينَ
- truthful"
And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, their argument is only that they say, "Bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." (QS. [45] Al-Jathiyah: 25)Tafsir
قُلِ اللّٰهُ يُحْيِيْكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيْتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يَجْمَعُكُمْ اِلٰى يَوْمِ الْقِيٰمَةِ لَارَيْبَ فِيْهِ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ ࣖ ٢٦
- quli
- قُلِ
- Say
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- "Allah
- yuḥ'yīkum
- يُحْيِيكُمْ
- gives you life
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- yumītukum
- يُمِيتُكُمْ
- causes you to die;
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- yajmaʿukum
- يَجْمَعُكُمْ
- He will gather you
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- yawmi
- يَوْمِ
- (the) Day
- l-qiyāmati
- ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
- (of) the Resurrection
- lā
- لَا
- no
- rayba
- رَيْبَ
- doubt
- fīhi
- فِيهِ
- about it"
- walākinna
- وَلَٰكِنَّ
- But
- akthara
- أَكْثَرَ
- most
- l-nāsi
- ٱلنَّاسِ
- (of) the people
- lā
- لَا
- (do) not
- yaʿlamūna
- يَعْلَمُونَ
- know
Say, "Allah causes you to live, then causes you to die; then He will assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt, but most of the people do not know." (QS. [45] Al-Jathiyah: 26)Tafsir
وَلِلّٰهِ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ وَيَوْمَ تَقُوْمُ السَّاعَةُ يَوْمَىِٕذٍ يَّخْسَرُ الْمُبْطِلُوْنَ ٢٧
- walillahi
- وَلِلَّهِ
- And for Allah
- mul'ku
- مُلْكُ
- (is the) dominion
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- (of) the heavens
- wal-arḍi
- وَٱلْأَرْضِۚ
- and the earth;
- wayawma
- وَيَوْمَ
- and (the) Day
- taqūmu
- تَقُومُ
- is established
- l-sāʿatu
- ٱلسَّاعَةُ
- the Hour
- yawma-idhin
- يَوْمَئِذٍ
- that Day
- yakhsaru
- يَخْسَرُ
- will lose
- l-mub'ṭilūna
- ٱلْمُبْطِلُونَ
- the falsifiers
And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And the Day the Hour appears – that Day the falsifiers will lose. (QS. [45] Al-Jathiyah: 27)Tafsir
وَتَرٰى كُلَّ اُمَّةٍ جَاثِيَةً ۗ كُلُّ اُمَّةٍ تُدْعٰٓى اِلٰى كِتٰبِهَاۗ اَلْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ ٢٨
- watarā
- وَتَرَىٰ
- And you will see
- kulla
- كُلَّ
- every
- ummatin
- أُمَّةٍ
- nation
- jāthiyatan
- جَاثِيَةًۚ
- kneeling
- kullu
- كُلُّ
- Every
- ummatin
- أُمَّةٍ
- nation
- tud'ʿā
- تُدْعَىٰٓ
- will be called
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- kitābihā
- كِتَٰبِهَا
- its record
- l-yawma
- ٱلْيَوْمَ
- "Today
- tuj'zawna
- تُجْزَوْنَ
- you will be recompensed
- mā
- مَا
- (for) what
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you used (to)
- taʿmalūna
- تَعْمَلُونَ
- do
And you will see every nation kneeling [from fear]. Every nation will be called to its record [and told], "Today you will be recompensed for what you used to do. (QS. [45] Al-Jathiyah: 28)Tafsir
هٰذَا كِتٰبُنَا يَنْطِقُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْحَقِّ ۗاِنَّا كُنَّا نَسْتَنْسِخُ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ ٢٩
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- This
- kitābunā
- كِتَٰبُنَا
- Our Record
- yanṭiqu
- يَنطِقُ
- speaks
- ʿalaykum
- عَلَيْكُم
- about you
- bil-ḥaqi
- بِٱلْحَقِّۚ
- in truth
- innā
- إِنَّا
- Indeed We
- kunnā
- كُنَّا
- [We] used (to)
- nastansikhu
- نَسْتَنسِخُ
- transcribe
- mā
- مَا
- what
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you used (to)
- taʿmalūna
- تَعْمَلُونَ
- do"
This, Our record, speaks about you in truth. Indeed, We were having transcribed whatever you used to do." (QS. [45] Al-Jathiyah: 29)Tafsir
فَاَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ فَيُدْخِلُهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ فِيْ رَحْمَتِهٖۗ ذٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْمُبِيْنُ ٣٠
- fa-ammā
- فَأَمَّا
- Then as for
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believed
- waʿamilū
- وَعَمِلُوا۟
- and did
- l-ṣāliḥāti
- ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
- [the] righteous deeds
- fayud'khiluhum
- فَيُدْخِلُهُمْ
- will admit them
- rabbuhum
- رَبُّهُمْ
- their Lord
- fī
- فِى
- in(to)
- raḥmatihi
- رَحْمَتِهِۦۚ
- His mercy
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- huwa
- هُوَ
- [it]
- l-fawzu
- ٱلْفَوْزُ
- (is) the success
- l-mubīnu
- ٱلْمُبِينُ
- clear
So as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, their Lord will admit them into His mercy. That is what is the clear attainment. (QS. [45] Al-Jathiyah: 30)Tafsir
