Ad-Dukhan [44]: 45 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

كَالْمُهْلِ ۛ يَغْلِيْ فِى الْبُطُوْنِۙ (الدخان : ٤٤)

كَٱلْمُهْلِ
Like the murky oil
yaghlī
يَغْلِى
it will boil
فِى

l-buṭūni
ٱلْبُطُونِ
the bellies

Transliteration:

Kalmuhli yaghlee filbutoon (QS. ad-Dukhān:45)

English / Sahih Translation:

Like murky oil, it boils within bellies (QS. Ad-Dukhan, ayah 45)

Tafsir jalalayn

Like molten copper, that is to say, like the dregs of black oil (ka'l-muhli, is the second predicate) it will boil inside the bellies ([if] read taghl, then it is a third predicate; [if] yaghl, then it is a circumstantial qualifier referring to al-muhl, `molten copper'),

كَالْمُهْلِ



Like boiling oil,

means, like the dregs of oil.

يَغْلِي فِي الْبُطُونِ



كَغَلْيِ الْحَمِيمِ
