يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِيْ مَوْلًى عَنْ مَّوْلًى شَيْـًٔا وَّلَا هُمْ يُنْصَرُوْنَۙ ٤١

اِلَّا مَنْ رَّحِمَ اللّٰهُ ۗاِنَّهٗ هُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الرَّحِيْمُ ࣖ ٤٢
- illā

- رَّحِمَ
- Allah has mercy
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُۚ
- Allah has mercy
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed, He

- (is) the All-Mighty

- ٱلرَّحِيمُ
- the Most Merciful
Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. (QS. [44] Ad-Dukhan: 42)Tafsir

اِنَّ شَجَرَتَ الزَّقُّوْمِۙ ٤٣
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- shajarata
- شَجَرَتَ
- (the) tree
- l-zaqūmi
- ٱلزَّقُّومِ
- (of) Zaqqum
Indeed, the tree of zaqqum (QS. [44] Ad-Dukhan: 43)Tafsir

طَعَامُ الْاَثِيْمِ ۛ ٤٤
- ṭaʿāmu
- طَعَامُ
- (Will be) food
- l-athīmi
- ٱلْأَثِيمِ
- (of) the sinner(s)
Is food for the sinful. (QS. [44] Ad-Dukhan: 44)Tafsir
45
كَالْمُهْلِ ۛ يَغْلِيْ فِى الْبُطُوْنِۙ ٤٥
- kal-muh'li
- كَٱلْمُهْلِ
- Like the murky oil
- yaghlī
- يَغْلِى
- it will boil

- in
- l-buṭūni
- ٱلْبُطُونِ
- the bellies
Like murky oil, it boils within bellies (QS. [44] Ad-Dukhan: 45)Tafsir
46
كَغَلْيِ الْحَمِيْمِ ۗ ٤٦
- kaghalyi
- كَغَلْىِ
- Like boiling
- l-ḥamīmi
- ٱلْحَمِيمِ
- (of) scalding water
Like the boiling of scalding water. (QS. [44] Ad-Dukhan: 46)Tafsir
47
خُذُوْهُ فَاعْتِلُوْهُ اِلٰى سَوَاۤءِ الْجَحِيْمِۙ ٤٧
- khudhūhu
- خُذُوهُ
- "Seize him
- fa-iʿ'tilūhu
- فَٱعْتِلُوهُ
- and drag him
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- into
- sawāi
- سَوَآءِ
- (the) midst
- l-jaḥīmi
- ٱلْجَحِيمِ
- (of) the Hellfire
[It will be commanded], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of the Hellfire, (QS. [44] Ad-Dukhan: 47)Tafsir

ثُمَّ صُبُّوْا فَوْقَ رَأْسِهٖ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْحَمِيْمِۗ ٤٨
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- ṣubbū
- صُبُّوا۟
- pour

- فَوْقَ
- over
- rasihi
- رَأْسِهِۦ
- his head

- مِنْ

- ʿadhābi
- عَذَابِ

- ٱلْحَمِيمِ
- (of) the scalding water
Then pour over his head from the torment of scalding water." (QS. [44] Ad-Dukhan: 48)Tafsir

ذُقْۚ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْكَرِيْمُ ٤٩

- Taste!

- Indeed you

- [you] (were)
- l-ʿazīzu
- ٱلْعَزِيزُ
- the mighty

[It will be said], "Taste! Indeed, you are the honored, the noble! (QS. [44] Ad-Dukhan: 49)Tafsir

اِنَّ هٰذَا مَا كُنْتُمْ بِهٖ تَمْتَرُوْنَ ٥٠
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- this
- mā
- مَا
- (is) what
- kuntum
- كُنتُم
- you used (to)
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- [about it]
- tamtarūna
- تَمْتَرُونَ
- doubt"
Indeed, this is what you used to dispute." (QS. [44] Ad-Dukhan: 50)Tafsir
