- a son
- Then I
- (would be the) first
- (of) the worshippers"
Qul in kaana lir Rahmaani walad; fa-ana awwalul 'aabideen(QS. az-Zukhruf:81)
English / Sahih Translation:
Say, [O Muhammad], "If the Most Merciful had a son, then I would be the first of [his] worshippers." (QS. Az-Zukhruf, ayah 81)
Say, “Had there been a son for the RaHmān, I would have been the first to worship.”
Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “If the Most Compassionate ˹really˺ had offspring, I would be the first worshipper.”
Say, “If the Most Compassionate truly had a son, I would be the first of [his] worshipers.”
Say: 'If the All-merciful has a son, then I am the first to serve him.
Say [Prophet], ‘If the Lord of Mercy [truly] had offspring I would be the first to worship [them], but-
Say thou: had the Compassionate a son, shall be the first of his worshippers.
Say; "If (Allah) Most Gracious had a son, I would be the first to worship."
Say: “If the Merciful One had a son, I would have been the first one to worship him.”
Say: "If Ar-Rahman had a son I would have been the first of worshippers."
Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “If supposedly, the Most Gracious had an offspring* – I would be the first to worship!” (*Which is impossible)
Say, ‘If the All-beneficent had offspring, I would have been the first to worship [him].’
Say: "If the All-Merciful had a child, I would be the first to worship."
Say, `The Most Gracious (God) has no son and I am the foremost to bear witness to this fact.
Say: "If (there) was to the merciful a child (son), so I am the worshippers` first/beginner ."
Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him), “If supposedly, the Most Gracious had an offspring* - I would be the first to worship!” (*Which is impossible)
Say, "If the Beneficent has a son, I am the foremost of those who serve him."
Say (O Muhammad SAW): "If the Most Beneficent (Allah) had a son (or children as you pretend), then I am the first of Allah's worshippers [who deny and refute this claim of yours (and the first to believe in Allah Alone and testify that He has no children)]." [Tafsir At-Tabari].
Or do they think that We near not their secrets and their private counsels? Aye, and Our messengers with them write down.
Say: If the Beneficent Allah has a son, I am the foremost of those who serve.
Say (O Muhammad): If the Beneficent One hath a son, then, I shall be first among the worshippers. (But there is no son).
(Muhammad), say, "Had the Beneficent God really had a son, I would certainly have been the first one to worship him.
Say (Prophet Muhammad): 'If the Merciful had a son, I would be the first of the worshipers.
Say: "If the Most Gracious had a son, then I am the first of the worshippers."
Say, "If the All Merciful had a son, I would be the first to worship him."
Say, “If the Most Gracious had a son, I would be the first to worship.”
Say; `If the Compassionate One had a son, hypothetically [speaking], I would have been first among the worshippers, of that son; but it is established that He, exalted be He, does not have a child and thus there can be no worshipping of such [a child].
Allah has no Offspring Allah says;
Say, -- (`O Muhammad') --
إِن كَانَ لِلرَّحْمَنِ وَلَدٌ فَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْعَابِدِينَ
If the Most Gracious had a son, then I am the first of the worshippers.
meaning, `if this were so, then I would worship Him on that basis, because I am one of His servants; I obey all that He commands me and I am not too arrogant or proud to worship Him.'
This conditional phrase does not mean that what is described could happen nor that is possible as Allah says;
Had Allah willed to take a son, He could have chosen whom He willed out of those whom He created. But glory be to Him! He is Allah, the One, the Irresistible. (39;4).
Allah says here;
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالاَْرْضِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
