Al-Qur'an Surah Az-Zukhruf Verse 71

Circulated among them will be the bowls of gold, and glasses. And there will be whatever souls desire and that which eyes enjoy. “And you will be living in it for ever.

English Literal

Being circled/walked around on them with platters/plates/bowls from gold and cups , and in it what the selves lust/desire/crave it, and delights/pleasures the eyes/sights, and you are in it immortally/eternally.

Tafsir jalalayn

They will be served from all around with [large] dishes of gold and goblets (akwb is the plural of kb, which is a [drinking] vessel without a handle so that the person can drink from whichever side he wants) and therein will be whatever souls desire, to relish, and eyes delight in, contemplating, and you will abide in it [forever].

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِصِحَافٍ مِّن ذَهَبٍ وَأَكْوَابٍ

Trays of gold and cups will be passed round them;

means, fine vessels of gold containing food and drink, without spouts or handles.

وَفِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِيهِ الاَْنفُسُ

(there will be) that their souls desire,

Some of them recited;

مَا تَشْتَهِيِ الاْاَنفُسُ

therein all that their souls could desire.

وَتَلَذُّ الاَْعْيُنُ

and all that eyes could delight in,

means, of good food, delightful fragrances and beautiful scenes.

وَأَنتُمْ فِيهَا

and you will therein, (means, in Paradise),

خَالِدُونَ



abide forever,

means, you will never leave it or want to exchange it.

Then it will be said to them, as a reminder of the blessing and favor of Allah;

وَتِلْكَ الْجَنَّةُ الَّتِي أُورِثْتُمُوهَا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
