Al-Qur'an Surah Az-Zukhruf Verse 34
Az-Zukhruf [43]: 34 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
وَلِبُيُوْتِهِمْ اَبْوَابًا وَّسُرُرًا عَلَيْهَا يَتَّكِـُٔوْنَۙ (الزخرف : ٤٣)
- walibuyūtihim
- وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْ
- And for their houses
- abwāban
- أَبْوَٰبًا
- doors
- wasururan
- وَسُرُرًا
- and couches
- ʿalayhā
- عَلَيْهَا
- upon which
- yattakiūna
- يَتَّكِـُٔونَ
- they recline
Transliteration:
Wa libu yootihim abwaabanw wa sururan 'alaihaa yattaki'oon(QS. az-Zukhruf:34)
English / Sahih Translation:
And for their houses – doors and couches [of silver] upon which to recline (QS. Az-Zukhruf, ayah 34)

and doors, of silver, for their houses, and, We would have made for them, couches, of silver (surur, `couches', is the plural of sarr) on which they recline,

وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْ أَبْوَابًا
And for their houses, doors,
And their houses would have doors, i.e., locks on their doors,
وَسُرُرًا عَلَيْهَا يَتَّكِوُونَ
and thrones on which they could recline,
means, all of that would be made of silver
