Al-Qur'an Surah Az-Zukhruf Verse 12

and the One who has created all the pairs, and has made for you the boats and the cattle that you ride,

Tafsir jalalayn

and Who created the pairs, the species, all of them, and made for you ships and cattle, such as camels, on which you ride (the referential pronoun has been omitted here for brevity; it is genitive in the case of the first, that is, fhi [sc. tarkabna fhi, `you ride in them'] and accusative in the case of the second [sc. tarkabnah, `you ride them']),

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

وَالَّذِي خَلَقَ الاْاَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا

And Who has created all the pairs?

meaning, of everything that grows in the earth, all kinds of plants, crops, fruits, flowers, etc., and all different kinds of animals.

وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ الْفُلْكِ

and has appointed for you ships, (or vessels),

وَالاْاَنْعَامِ مَا تَرْكَبُونَ



and cattle on which you ride.

means, He has subjugated them to you and made it easy for you to eat their meat, drink their milk and ride on their backs.
