وَالَّذِيْ نَزَّلَ مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءًۢ بِقَدَرٍۚ فَاَنْشَرْنَا بِهٖ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا ۚ كَذٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُوْنَ ١١
- wa-alladhī
- وَٱلَّذِى
- And the One Who
- nazzala
- نَزَّلَ
- sends down
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- l-samāi
- ٱلسَّمَآءِ
- the sky
- māan
- مَآءًۢ
- water
- biqadarin
- بِقَدَرٍ
- in (due) measure
- fa-ansharnā
- فَأَنشَرْنَا
- then We revive
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- with it
- baldatan
- بَلْدَةً
- a land
- maytan
- مَّيْتًاۚ
- dead
- kadhālika
- كَذَٰلِكَ
- thus
- tukh'rajūna
- تُخْرَجُونَ
- you will be brought forth
And who sends down rain from the sky in measured amounts, and We revive thereby a dead land – thus will you be brought forth – (QS. [43] Az-Zukhruf: 11)Tafsir
وَالَّذِيْ خَلَقَ الْاَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِّنَ الْفُلْكِ وَالْاَنْعَامِ مَا تَرْكَبُوْنَۙ ١٢
- wa-alladhī
- وَٱلَّذِى
- And the One Who
- khalaqa
- خَلَقَ
- created
- l-azwāja
- ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ
- the pairs
- kullahā
- كُلَّهَا
- all of them
- wajaʿala
- وَجَعَلَ
- and made
- lakum
- لَكُم
- for you
- mina
- مِّنَ
- [of]
- l-ful'ki
- ٱلْفُلْكِ
- the ships
- wal-anʿāmi
- وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ
- and the cattle
- mā
- مَا
- what
- tarkabūna
- تَرْكَبُونَ
- you ride
And who created the species, all of them, and has made for you of ships and animals those which you mount (QS. [43] Az-Zukhruf: 12)Tafsir
لِتَسْتَوٗا عَلٰى ظُهُوْرِهٖ ثُمَّ تَذْكُرُوْا نِعْمَةَ رَبِّكُمْ اِذَا اسْتَوَيْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَتَقُوْلُوْا سُبْحٰنَ الَّذِيْ سَخَّرَ لَنَا هٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهٗ مُقْرِنِيْنَۙ ١٣
- litastawū
- لِتَسْتَوُۥا۟
- That you may sit firmly
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- ẓuhūrihi
- ظُهُورِهِۦ
- their backs
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- tadhkurū
- تَذْكُرُوا۟
- remember
- niʿ'mata
- نِعْمَةَ
- (the) favor
- rabbikum
- رَبِّكُمْ
- (of) your Lord
- idhā
- إِذَا
- when
- is'tawaytum
- ٱسْتَوَيْتُمْ
- you sit firmly
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- on them
- wataqūlū
- وَتَقُولُوا۟
- and say
- sub'ḥāna
- سُبْحَٰنَ
- "Glory be (to)
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- the One Who
- sakhara
- سَخَّرَ
- has subjected
- lanā
- لَنَا
- to us
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- this
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- kunnā
- كُنَّا
- we were
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- of it
- muq'rinīna
- مُقْرِنِينَ
- capable
That you may settle yourselves upon their backs and then remember the favor of your Lord when you have settled upon them and say, "Exalted is He who has subjected this to us, and we could not have [otherwise] subdued it. (QS. [43] Az-Zukhruf: 13)Tafsir
وَاِنَّآ اِلٰى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُوْنَ ١٤
- wa-innā
- وَإِنَّآ
- And indeed we
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- rabbinā
- رَبِّنَا
- our Lord
- lamunqalibūna
- لَمُنقَلِبُونَ
- will surely return"
And indeed we, to our Lord, will [surely] return." (QS. [43] Az-Zukhruf: 14)Tafsir
وَجَعَلُوْا لَهٗ مِنْ عِبَادِهٖ جُزْءًا ۗاِنَّ الْاِنْسَانَ لَكَفُوْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌ ۗ ࣖ ١٥
- wajaʿalū
- وَجَعَلُوا۟
- But they attribute
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- to Him
- min
- مِنْ
- from
- ʿibādihi
- عِبَادِهِۦ
- His slaves
- juz'an
- جُزْءًاۚ
- a portion
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-insāna
- ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ
- man
- lakafūrun
- لَكَفُورٌ
- surely (is) clearly ungrateful
- mubīnun
- مُّبِينٌ
- surely (is) clearly ungrateful
But they have attributed to Him from His servants a portion. Indeed, man is clearly ungrateful. (QS. [43] Az-Zukhruf: 15)Tafsir
اَمِ اتَّخَذَ مِمَّا يَخْلُقُ بَنٰتٍ وَّاَصْفٰىكُمْ بِالْبَنِيْنَ ۗ ١٦
- ami
- أَمِ
- Or
- ittakhadha
- ٱتَّخَذَ
- has He taken
- mimmā
- مِمَّا
- of what
- yakhluqu
- يَخْلُقُ
- He has created
- banātin
- بَنَاتٍ
- daughters
- wa-aṣfākum
- وَأَصْفَىٰكُم
- and He has chosen (for) you
- bil-banīna
- بِٱلْبَنِينَ
- sons
Or has He taken, out of what He has created, daughters and chosen you for [having] sons? (QS. [43] Az-Zukhruf: 16)Tafsir
وَاِذَا بُشِّرَ اَحَدُهُمْ بِمَا ضَرَبَ لِلرَّحْمٰنِ مَثَلًا ظَلَّ وَجْهُهٗ مُسْوَدًّا وَّهُوَ كَظِيْمٌ ١٧
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- bushira
- بُشِّرَ
- is given good news
- aḥaduhum
- أَحَدُهُم
- (to) one of them
- bimā
- بِمَا
- of what
- ḍaraba
- ضَرَبَ
- he sets up
- lilrraḥmāni
- لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ
- for the Most Gracious
- mathalan
- مَثَلًا
- (as) a likeness
- ẓalla
- ظَلَّ
- becomes
- wajhuhu
- وَجْهُهُۥ
- his face
- mus'waddan
- مُسْوَدًّا
- dark
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- and he
- kaẓīmun
- كَظِيمٌ
- (is) filled with grief
And when one of them is given good tidings of that which he attributes to the Most Merciful in comparison [i.e., a daughter], his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief. (QS. [43] Az-Zukhruf: 17)Tafsir
اَوَمَنْ يُّنَشَّؤُا فِى الْحِلْيَةِ وَهُوَ فِى الْخِصَامِ غَيْرُ مُبِيْنٍ ١٨
- awaman
- أَوَمَن
- Then (is one) who
- yunasha-u
- يُنَشَّؤُا۟
- is brought up
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-ḥil'yati
- ٱلْحِلْيَةِ
- ornaments
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- and he
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-khiṣāmi
- ٱلْخِصَامِ
- the dispute
- ghayru
- غَيْرُ
- (is) not
- mubīnin
- مُبِينٍ
- clear
So is one brought up in ornaments while being during conflict unevident [attributed to Allah]? (QS. [43] Az-Zukhruf: 18)Tafsir
وَجَعَلُوا الْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةَ الَّذِيْنَ هُمْ عِبٰدُ الرَّحْمٰنِ اِنَاثًا ۗ اَشَهِدُوْا خَلْقَهُمْ ۗسَتُكْتَبُ شَهَادَتُهُمْ وَيُسْٔـَلُوْنَ ١٩
- wajaʿalū
- وَجَعَلُوا۟
- And they made
- l-malāikata
- ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ
- the Angels
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- hum
- هُمْ
- themselves
- ʿibādu
- عِبَٰدُ
- (are) slaves
- l-raḥmāni
- ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ
- (of) the Most Gracious
- ināthan
- إِنَٰثًاۚ
- females
- ashahidū
- أَشَهِدُوا۟
- Did they witness
- khalqahum
- خَلْقَهُمْۚ
- their creation?
- satuk'tabu
- سَتُكْتَبُ
- Will be recorded
- shahādatuhum
- شَهَٰدَتُهُمْ
- their testimony
- wayus'alūna
- وَيُسْـَٔلُونَ
- and they will be questioned
And they described the angels, who are servants of the Most Merciful, as females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned. (QS. [43] Az-Zukhruf: 19)Tafsir
وَقَالُوْا لَوْ شَاۤءَ الرَّحْمٰنُ مَا عَبَدْنٰهُمْ ۗمَا لَهُمْ بِذٰلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ اِنْ هُمْ اِلَّا يَخْرُصُوْنَۗ ٢٠
- waqālū
- وَقَالُوا۟
- And they say
- law
- لَوْ
- "If
- shāa
- شَآءَ
- had willed
- l-raḥmānu
- ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ
- the Most Gracious
- mā
- مَا
- we would not have worshipped them"
- ʿabadnāhum
- عَبَدْنَٰهُمۗ
- we would not have worshipped them"
- mā
- مَّا
- Not
- lahum
- لَهُم
- they have
- bidhālika
- بِذَٰلِكَ
- about that
- min
- مِنْ
- any
- ʿil'min
- عِلْمٍۖ
- knowledge
- in
- إِنْ
- Nothing
- hum
- هُمْ
- they (do)
- illā
- إِلَّا
- but
- yakhruṣūna
- يَخْرُصُونَ
- lie
And they said, "If the Most Merciful had willed, we would not have worshipped them." They have of that no knowledge. They are not but misjudging. (QS. [43] Az-Zukhruf: 20)Tafsir
