Al-Qur'an Surah Ash-Shuraa Verse 53

Ash-Shuraa [42]: 53 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

صِرَاطِ اللّٰهِ الَّذِيْ لَهٗ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِى الْاَرْضِۗ اَلَآ اِلَى اللّٰهِ تَصِيْرُ الْاُمُوْرُ ࣖ (الشورى : ٤٢)

(The) path
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
alladhī
ٱلَّذِى
the One
lahu
لَهُۥ
to Whom
مَا
(belongs) whatever
فِى
(is) in
l-samāwāti
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
wamā
وَمَا
and whatever
فِى
(is) in
l-arḍi
ٱلْأَرْضِۗ
the earth

أَلَآ
Unquestionably!
ilā
إِلَى

l-lahi
ٱللَّهِ

ٱلْأُمُورُ
all affairs

Transliteration:

Siraatil laahil lazee lahoo maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ard; alaaa ilal laahi taseerul umoor (QS. aš-Šūrā:53)

English / Sahih Translation:

The path of Allah, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Unquestionably, to Allah do [all] matters evolve [i.e., return]. (QS. Ash-Shuraa, ayah 53)

the path of Allah, the One to whom belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. Be aware that towards Allah all matters shall finally return.

God`s road/way, who for Him what (is) in the skies/space and what (is) in the earth/Planet Earth, is (it) not to God the order`s/command`s/matter`s/affair`s end/destiny?356

Tafsir jalalayn

the path of God, to Whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, as possessions, creatures and servants. Surely with God all matters end [their journey], [all matters] return. Meccan [entirely], or as some say [Meccan] with the exception of verse 45, which is Medinese; it consists of 89 verses, revealed after [srat] al-Shr.

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

صِرَاطِ اللَّهِ

The path of Allah,

meaning, His Laws which He enjoins.

الَّذِي لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الاَْرْضِ

to Whom belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth.

means, their Lord and Sovereign, the One Who is controlling and ruling them, Whose decree cannot be overturned.

أَلَا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَصِيرُ الامُورُ



Verily, all matters at the end go to Allah.

means, all matters come back to Him and He issues judgement concerning them. Glorified and exalted be He far above all that the evildoers and deniers say.
