۞ وَمَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ اَنْ يُّكَلِّمَهُ اللّٰهُ اِلَّا وَحْيًا اَوْ مِنْ وَّرَاۤئِ حِجَابٍ اَوْ يُرْسِلَ رَسُوْلًا فَيُوْحِيَ بِاِذْنِهٖ مَا يَشَاۤءُ ۗاِنَّهٗ عَلِيٌّ حَكِيْمٌ ٥١
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- kāna
- كَانَ
- is
- libasharin
- لِبَشَرٍ
- for any human
- an
- أَن
- that
- yukallimahu
- يُكَلِّمَهُ
- Allah should speak to him
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah should speak to him
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- waḥyan
- وَحْيًا
- (by) revelation
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- min
- مِن
- from
- warāi
- وَرَآئِ
- behind
- ḥijābin
- حِجَابٍ
- a veil
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- yur'sila
- يُرْسِلَ
- (by) sending
- rasūlan
- رَسُولًا
- a Messenger
- fayūḥiya
- فَيُوحِىَ
- then he reveals
- bi-idh'nihi
- بِإِذْنِهِۦ
- by His permission
- mā
- مَا
- what
- yashāu
- يَشَآءُۚ
- He wills
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed, He
- ʿaliyyun
- عَلِىٌّ
- (is) Most High
- ḥakīmun
- حَكِيمٌ
- Most Wise
And it is not for any human being that Allah should speak to him except by revelation or from behind a partition or that He sends a messenger [i.e., angel] to reveal, by His permission, what He wills. Indeed, He is Most High and Wise. (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 51)Tafsir
52
وَكَذٰلِكَ اَوْحَيْنَآ اِلَيْكَ رُوْحًا مِّنْ اَمْرِنَا ۗمَا كُنْتَ تَدْرِيْ مَا الْكِتٰبُ وَلَا الْاِيْمَانُ وَلٰكِنْ جَعَلْنٰهُ نُوْرًا نَّهْدِيْ بِهٖ مَنْ نَّشَاۤءُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ۗوَاِنَّكَ لَتَهْدِيْٓ اِلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍۙ ٥٢
- wakadhālika
- وَكَذَٰلِكَ
- And thus
- awḥaynā
- أَوْحَيْنَآ
- We have revealed
- ilayka
- إِلَيْكَ
- to you
- rūḥan
- رُوحًا
- an inspiration
- min
- مِّنْ
- by
- amrinā
- أَمْرِنَاۚ
- Our Command
- mā
- مَا
- Not
- kunta
- كُنتَ
- did you
- tadrī
- تَدْرِى
- know
- mā
- مَا
- what
- l-kitābu
- ٱلْكِتَٰبُ
- the Book (is)
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- l-īmānu
- ٱلْإِيمَٰنُ
- the faith
- walākin
- وَلَٰكِن
- But
- jaʿalnāhu
- جَعَلْنَٰهُ
- We have made it
- nūran
- نُورًا
- a light
- nahdī
- نَّهْدِى
- We guide
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- with it
- man
- مَن
- whom
- nashāu
- نَّشَآءُ
- We will
- min
- مِنْ
- of
- ʿibādinā
- عِبَادِنَاۚ
- Our slaves
- wa-innaka
- وَإِنَّكَ
- And indeed you
- latahdī
- لَتَهْدِىٓ
- surely guide
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- ṣirāṭin
- صِرَٰطٍ
- (the) path
- mus'taqīmin
- مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
- straight
And thus We have revealed to you an inspiration of Our command [i.e., the Quran]. You did not know what is the Book or [what is] faith, but We have made it a light by which We guide whom We will of Our servants. And indeed, [O Muhammad], you guide to a straight path – (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 52)Tafsir
53
صِرَاطِ اللّٰهِ الَّذِيْ لَهٗ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِى الْاَرْضِۗ اَلَآ اِلَى اللّٰهِ تَصِيْرُ الْاُمُوْرُ ࣖ ٥٣
- ṣirāṭi
- صِرَٰطِ
- (The) path
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- the One
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- to Whom
- mā
- مَا
- (belongs) whatever
- fī
- فِى
- (is) in
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- the heavens
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and whatever
- fī
- فِى
- (is) in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِۗ
- the earth
- alā
- أَلَآ
- Unquestionably!
- ilā
- إِلَى
- To
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- taṣīru
- تَصِيرُ
- reach
- l-umūru
- ٱلْأُمُورُ
- all affairs
The path of Allah, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Unquestionably, to Allah do [all] matters evolve [i.e., return]. (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 53)Tafsir
