وَلَمَنِ انْتَصَرَ بَعْدَ ظُلْمِهٖ فَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ مَا عَلَيْهِمْ مِّنْ سَبِيْلٍۗ ٤١
- walamani
- وَلَمَنِ
- And surely whosoever
- intaṣara
- ٱنتَصَرَ
- defends himself
- baʿda
- بَعْدَ
- after
- ẓul'mihi
- ظُلْمِهِۦ
- he has been wronged
- fa-ulāika
- فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- then those
- mā
- مَا
- not
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِم
- (is) against them
- min
- مِّن
- any
- sabīlin
- سَبِيلٍ
- way
And whoever retaliates after having been wronged – those have not upon them any cause [for blame]. (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 41)Tafsir
اِنَّمَا السَّبِيْلُ عَلَى الَّذِيْنَ يَظْلِمُوْنَ النَّاسَ وَيَبْغُوْنَ فِى الْاَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّۗ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ اَلِيْمٌ ٤٢
- innamā
- إِنَّمَا
- Only
- l-sabīlu
- ٱلسَّبِيلُ
- the way
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- against
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- yaẓlimūna
- يَظْلِمُونَ
- oppress
- l-nāsa
- ٱلنَّاسَ
- the people
- wayabghūna
- وَيَبْغُونَ
- and rebel
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- bighayri
- بِغَيْرِ
- without
- l-ḥaqi
- ٱلْحَقِّۚ
- right
- ulāika
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- Those
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- ʿadhābun
- عَذَابٌ
- (is) a punishment
- alīmun
- أَلِيمٌ
- painful
The cause is only against the ones who wrong the people and tyrannize upon the earth without right. Those will have a painful punishment. (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 42)Tafsir
وَلَمَنْ صَبَرَ وَغَفَرَ اِنَّ ذٰلِكَ لَمِنْ عَزْمِ الْاُمُوْرِ ࣖ ٤٣
- walaman
- وَلَمَن
- And whoever
- ṣabara
- صَبَرَ
- (is) patient
- waghafara
- وَغَفَرَ
- and forgives
- inna
- إِنَّ
- indeed
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- lamin
- لَمِنْ
- (is) surely of
- ʿazmi
- عَزْمِ
- matters of determination
- l-umūri
- ٱلْأُمُورِ
- matters of determination
And whoever is patient and forgives – indeed, that is of the matters [worthy] of resolve. (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 43)Tafsir
وَمَنْ يُّضْلِلِ اللّٰهُ فَمَا لَهٗ مِنْ وَّلِيٍّ مِّنْۢ بَعْدِهٖ ۗوَتَرَى الظّٰلِمِيْنَ لَمَّا رَاَوُا الْعَذَابَ يَقُوْلُوْنَ هَلْ اِلٰى مَرَدٍّ مِّنْ سَبِيْلٍۚ ٤٤
- waman
- وَمَن
- And whoever
- yuḍ'lili
- يُضْلِلِ
- Allah lets go astray
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah lets go astray
- famā
- فَمَا
- then not
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- for him
- min
- مِن
- any
- waliyyin
- وَلِىٍّ
- protector
- min
- مِّنۢ
- after Him
- baʿdihi
- بَعْدِهِۦۗ
- after Him
- watarā
- وَتَرَى
- And you will see
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- the wrongdoers
- lammā
- لَمَّا
- when
- ra-awū
- رَأَوُا۟
- they see
- l-ʿadhāba
- ٱلْعَذَابَ
- the punishment
- yaqūlūna
- يَقُولُونَ
- saying
- hal
- هَلْ
- "Is
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- (there) for
- maraddin
- مَرَدٍّ
- return
- min
- مِّن
- any
- sabīlin
- سَبِيلٍ
- way?"
And he whom Allah sends astray – for him there is no protector beyond Him. And you will see the wrongdoers, when they see the punishment, saying, "Is there for return [to the former world] any way?" (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 44)Tafsir
وَتَرٰىهُمْ يُعْرَضُوْنَ عَلَيْهَا خٰشِعِيْنَ مِنَ الذُّلِّ يَنْظُرُوْنَ مِنْ طَرْفٍ خَفِيٍّۗ وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اِنَّ الْخٰسِرِيْنَ الَّذِيْنَ خَسِرُوْٓا اَنْفُسَهُمْ وَاَهْلِيْهِمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ ۗ اَلَآ اِنَّ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ فِيْ عَذَابٍ مُّقِيْمٍ ٤٥
- watarāhum
- وَتَرَىٰهُمْ
- And you will see them
- yuʿ'raḍūna
- يُعْرَضُونَ
- being exposed
- ʿalayhā
- عَلَيْهَا
- to it
- khāshiʿīna
- خَٰشِعِينَ
- humbled
- mina
- مِنَ
- by
- l-dhuli
- ٱلذُّلِّ
- disgrace
- yanẓurūna
- يَنظُرُونَ
- looking
- min
- مِن
- with
- ṭarfin
- طَرْفٍ
- a glance
- khafiyyin
- خَفِىٍّۗ
- stealthy
- waqāla
- وَقَالَ
- And will say
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوٓا۟
- believed
- inna
- إِنَّ
- "Indeed
- l-khāsirīna
- ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ
- the losers
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (are) those who
- khasirū
- خَسِرُوٓا۟
- lost
- anfusahum
- أَنفُسَهُمْ
- themselves
- wa-ahlīhim
- وَأَهْلِيهِمْ
- and their families
- yawma
- يَوْمَ
- (on the) Day
- l-qiyāmati
- ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِۗ
- (of) the Resurrection
- alā
- أَلَآ
- Unquestionably!
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- the wrongdoers
- fī
- فِى
- (are) in
- ʿadhābin
- عَذَابٍ
- a punishment
- muqīmin
- مُّقِيمٍ
- lasting
And you will see them being exposed to it [i.e., the Fire], humbled from humiliation, looking from [behind] a covert glance. And those who had believed will say, "Indeed, the [true] losers are the ones who lost themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, the wrongdoers are in an enduring punishment." (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 45)Tafsir
وَمَا كَانَ لَهُمْ مِّنْ اَوْلِيَاۤءَ يَنْصُرُوْنَهُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ ۗوَمَنْ يُّضْلِلِ اللّٰهُ فَمَا لَهٗ مِنْ سَبِيْلٍ ۗ ٤٦
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- kāna
- كَانَ
- will be
- lahum
- لَهُم
- for them
- min
- مِّنْ
- any
- awliyāa
- أَوْلِيَآءَ
- protector
- yanṣurūnahum
- يَنصُرُونَهُم
- (who) will help them
- min
- مِّن
- besides
- dūni
- دُونِ
- besides
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۗ
- Allah
- waman
- وَمَن
- And whom
- yuḍ'lili
- يُضْلِلِ
- Allah lets go astray
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah lets go astray
- famā
- فَمَا
- then not
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- for him
- min
- مِن
- any
- sabīlin
- سَبِيلٍ
- way
And there will not be for them any allies to aid them other than Allah. And whoever Allah sends astray – for him there is no way. (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 46)Tafsir
اِسْتَجِيْبُوْا لِرَبِّكُمْ مِّنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ يَّأْتِيَ يَوْمٌ لَّا مَرَدَّ لَهٗ مِنَ اللّٰهِ ۗمَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ مَّلْجَاٍ يَّوْمَىِٕذٍ وَّمَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ نَّكِيْرٍ ٤٧
- is'tajībū
- ٱسْتَجِيبُوا۟
- Respond
- lirabbikum
- لِرَبِّكُم
- to your Lord
- min
- مِّن
- before
- qabli
- قَبْلِ
- before
- an
- أَن
- [that]
- yatiya
- يَأْتِىَ
- comes
- yawmun
- يَوْمٌ
- a Day
- lā
- لَّا
- (there is) no
- maradda
- مَرَدَّ
- averting
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- for it
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۚ
- Allah
- mā
- مَا
- Not
- lakum
- لَكُم
- (is) for you
- min
- مِّن
- any
- malja-in
- مَّلْجَإٍ
- refuge
- yawma-idhin
- يَوْمَئِذٍ
- (on) that Day
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- lakum
- لَكُم
- for you
- min
- مِّن
- any
- nakīrin
- نَّكِيرٍ
- denial
Respond to your Lord before a Day comes from Allah of which there is no repelling. No refuge will you have that Day, nor for you will there be any denial. (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 47)Tafsir
فَاِنْ اَعْرَضُوْا فَمَآ اَرْسَلْنٰكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيْظًا ۗاِنْ عَلَيْكَ اِلَّا الْبَلٰغُ ۗوَاِنَّآ اِذَآ اَذَقْنَا الْاِنْسَانَ مِنَّا رَحْمَةً فَرِحَ بِهَا ۚوَاِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ ۢبِمَا قَدَّمَتْ اَيْدِيْهِمْ فَاِنَّ الْاِنْسَانَ كَفُوْرٌ ٤٨
- fa-in
- فَإِنْ
- Then if
- aʿraḍū
- أَعْرَضُوا۟
- they turn away
- famā
- فَمَآ
- then not
- arsalnāka
- أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ
- We have sent you
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- over them
- ḥafīẓan
- حَفِيظًاۖ
- (as) a guardian
- in
- إِنْ
- Not
- ʿalayka
- عَلَيْكَ
- (is) on you
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- l-balāghu
- ٱلْبَلَٰغُۗ
- the conveyance
- wa-innā
- وَإِنَّآ
- And indeed
- idhā
- إِذَآ
- when
- adhaqnā
- أَذَقْنَا
- We cause to taste
- l-insāna
- ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ
- [the] man
- minnā
- مِنَّا
- from Us
- raḥmatan
- رَحْمَةً
- Mercy
- fariḥa
- فَرِحَ
- he rejoices
- bihā
- بِهَاۖ
- in it
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- But if
- tuṣib'hum
- تُصِبْهُمْ
- befalls them
- sayyi-atun
- سَيِّئَةٌۢ
- evil
- bimā
- بِمَا
- for what
- qaddamat
- قَدَّمَتْ
- have sent forth
- aydīhim
- أَيْدِيهِمْ
- their hands
- fa-inna
- فَإِنَّ
- then indeed
- l-insāna
- ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ
- [the] man
- kafūrun
- كَفُورٌ
- (is) ungrateful
But if they turn away – then We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], over them as a guardian; upon you is only [the duty of] notification. And indeed, when We let man taste mercy from Us, he rejoices in it; but if evil afflicts him for what his hands have put forth, then indeed, man is ungrateful. (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 48)Tafsir
لِلّٰهِ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاۤءُ ۗيَهَبُ لِمَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ اِنَاثًا وَّيَهَبُ لِمَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ الذُّكُوْرَ ۙ ٤٩
- lillahi
- لِّلَّهِ
- To Allah
- mul'ku
- مُلْكُ
- (belongs the) dominion
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- (of) the heavens
- wal-arḍi
- وَٱلْأَرْضِۚ
- and the earth
- yakhluqu
- يَخْلُقُ
- He creates
- mā
- مَا
- what
- yashāu
- يَشَآءُۚ
- He wills
- yahabu
- يَهَبُ
- He grants
- liman
- لِمَن
- to whom
- yashāu
- يَشَآءُ
- He wills
- ināthan
- إِنَٰثًا
- females
- wayahabu
- وَيَهَبُ
- and He grants
- liman
- لِمَن
- to whom
- yashāu
- يَشَآءُ
- He wills
- l-dhukūra
- ٱلذُّكُورَ
- [the] males
To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth; He creates what He wills. He gives to whom He wills female [children], and He gives to whom He wills males. (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 49)Tafsir
اَوْ يُزَوِّجُهُمْ ذُكْرَانًا وَّاِنَاثًا ۚوَيَجْعَلُ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ عَقِيْمًا ۗاِنَّهٗ عَلِيْمٌ قَدِيْرٌ ٥٠
- aw
- أَوْ
- Or
- yuzawwijuhum
- يُزَوِّجُهُمْ
- He grants them
- dhuk'rānan
- ذُكْرَانًا
- males
- wa-ināthan
- وَإِنَٰثًاۖ
- and females;
- wayajʿalu
- وَيَجْعَلُ
- and He makes
- man
- مَن
- whom
- yashāu
- يَشَآءُ
- He wills
- ʿaqīman
- عَقِيمًاۚ
- barren
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed He
- ʿalīmun
- عَلِيمٌ
- (is) All-Knower
- qadīrun
- قَدِيرٌ
- All-Powerful
Or He makes them [both] males and females, and He renders whom He wills barren. Indeed, He is Knowing and Competent. (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 50)Tafsir
