وَمَآ اَنْتُمْ بِمُعْجِزِيْنَ فِى الْاَرْضِۚ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ مِنْ وَّلِيٍّ وَّلَا نَصِيْرٍ ٣١
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- And not
- antum
- أَنتُم
- you
- bimuʿ'jizīna
- بِمُعْجِزِينَ
- (can) escape
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِۖ
- the earth
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- lakum
- لَكُم
- for you
- min
- مِّن
- besides
- dūni
- دُونِ
- besides
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- min
- مِن
- any
- waliyyin
- وَلِىٍّ
- protector
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- naṣīrin
- نَصِيرٍ
- any helper
And you will not cause failure [to Allah] upon the earth. And you have not besides Allah any protector or helper. (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 31)Tafsir
وَمِنْ اٰيٰتِهِ الْجَوَارِ فِى الْبَحْرِ كَالْاَعْلَامِ ۗ ٣٢
- wamin
- وَمِنْ
- And among
- āyātihi
- ءَايَٰتِهِ
- His Signs
- l-jawāri
- ٱلْجَوَارِ
- (are) the ships
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-baḥri
- ٱلْبَحْرِ
- the sea
- kal-aʿlāmi
- كَٱلْأَعْلَٰمِ
- like [the] mountains
And of His signs are the ships in the sea, like mountains. (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 32)Tafsir
اِنْ يَّشَأْ يُسْكِنِ الرِّيْحَ فَيَظْلَلْنَ رَوَاكِدَ عَلٰى ظَهْرِهٖۗ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُوْرٍۙ ٣٣
- in
- إِن
- If
- yasha
- يَشَأْ
- He wills
- yus'kini
- يُسْكِنِ
- He can cause the wind to become still
- l-rīḥa
- ٱلرِّيحَ
- He can cause the wind to become still
- fayaẓlalna
- فَيَظْلَلْنَ
- then they would remain
- rawākida
- رَوَاكِدَ
- motionless
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- ẓahrihi
- ظَهْرِهِۦٓۚ
- its back
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- fī
- فِى
- in
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- laāyātin
- لَءَايَٰتٍ
- surely (are) Signs
- likulli
- لِّكُلِّ
- for everyone
- ṣabbārin
- صَبَّارٍ
- patient
- shakūrin
- شَكُورٍ
- (and) grateful
If He willed, He could still the wind, and they would remain motionless on its surface. Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful. (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 33)Tafsir
اَوْ يُوْبِقْهُنَّ بِمَا كَسَبُوْا وَيَعْفُ عَنْ كَثِيْرٍۙ ٣٤
- aw
- أَوْ
- Or
- yūbiq'hunna
- يُوبِقْهُنَّ
- He could destroy them
- bimā
- بِمَا
- for what
- kasabū
- كَسَبُوا۟
- they have earned;
- wayaʿfu
- وَيَعْفُ
- but He pardons
- ʿan
- عَن
- [from]
- kathīrin
- كَثِيرٍ
- much
Or He could destroy them for what they earned; but He pardons much. (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 34)Tafsir
وَّيَعْلَمَ الَّذِيْنَ يُجَادِلُوْنَ فِيْٓ اٰيٰتِنَاۗ مَا لَهُمْ مِّنْ مَّحِيْصٍ ٣٥
- wayaʿlama
- وَيَعْلَمَ
- And may know
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- yujādilūna
- يُجَٰدِلُونَ
- dispute
- fī
- فِىٓ
- concerning
- āyātinā
- ءَايَٰتِنَا
- Our Signs
- mā
- مَا
- (that) not
- lahum
- لَهُم
- for them
- min
- مِّن
- any
- maḥīṣin
- مَّحِيصٍ
- place of refuge
And [that is so] those who dispute concerning Our signs may know that for them there is no place of escape. (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 35)Tafsir
فَمَآ اُوْتِيْتُمْ مِّنْ شَيْءٍ فَمَتَاعُ الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا ۚوَمَا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ خَيْرٌ وَّاَبْقٰى لِلَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَلٰى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُوْنَۚ ٣٦
- famā
- فَمَآ
- So whatever
- ūtītum
- أُوتِيتُم
- you are given
- min
- مِّن
- of
- shayin
- شَىْءٍ
- a thing
- famatāʿu
- فَمَتَٰعُ
- (is) but a passing enjoyment
- l-ḥayati
- ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
- (for) the life
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَاۖ
- (of) the world
- wamā
- وَمَا
- But what
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- (is) with
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- khayrun
- خَيْرٌ
- (is) better
- wa-abqā
- وَأَبْقَىٰ
- and more lasting
- lilladhīna
- لِلَّذِينَ
- for those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe
- waʿalā
- وَعَلَىٰ
- and upon
- rabbihim
- رَبِّهِمْ
- their Lord
- yatawakkalūna
- يَتَوَكَّلُونَ
- put (their) trust
So whatever thing you have been given – it is but [for] enjoyment of the worldly life. But what is with Allah is better and more lasting for those who have believed and upon their Lord rely (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 36)Tafsir
وَالَّذِيْنَ يَجْتَنِبُوْنَ كَبٰۤىِٕرَ الْاِثْمِ وَالْفَوَاحِشَ وَاِذَا مَا غَضِبُوْا هُمْ يَغْفِرُوْنَ ۚ ٣٧
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- And those who
- yajtanibūna
- يَجْتَنِبُونَ
- avoid
- kabāira
- كَبَٰٓئِرَ
- (the) greater
- l-ith'mi
- ٱلْإِثْمِ
- sins
- wal-fawāḥisha
- وَٱلْفَوَٰحِشَ
- and the immoralities
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- and when
- mā
- مَا
- and when
- ghaḍibū
- غَضِبُوا۟
- they are angry
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- yaghfirūna
- يَغْفِرُونَ
- forgive
And those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, and when they are angry, they forgive, (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 37)Tafsir
وَالَّذِيْنَ اسْتَجَابُوْا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَاَقَامُوا الصَّلٰوةَۖ وَاَمْرُهُمْ شُوْرٰى بَيْنَهُمْۖ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنٰهُمْ يُنْفِقُوْنَ ۚ ٣٨
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- And those who
- is'tajābū
- ٱسْتَجَابُوا۟
- respond
- lirabbihim
- لِرَبِّهِمْ
- to their Lord
- wa-aqāmū
- وَأَقَامُوا۟
- and establish
- l-ṣalata
- ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
- prayer
- wa-amruhum
- وَأَمْرُهُمْ
- and their affairs
- shūrā
- شُورَىٰ
- (are conducted by) consultation
- baynahum
- بَيْنَهُمْ
- among them
- wamimmā
- وَمِمَّا
- and from what
- razaqnāhum
- رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ
- We have provided them
- yunfiqūna
- يُنفِقُونَ
- they spend
And those who have responded to their Lord and established prayer and whose affair is [determined by] consultation among themselves, and from what We have provided them, they spend, (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 38)Tafsir
وَالَّذِيْنَ اِذَآ اَصَابَهُمُ الْبَغْيُ هُمْ يَنْتَصِرُوْنَ ٣٩
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- And those who
- idhā
- إِذَآ
- when
- aṣābahumu
- أَصَابَهُمُ
- strikes them
- l-baghyu
- ٱلْبَغْىُ
- tyranny
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- yantaṣirūna
- يَنتَصِرُونَ
- defend themselves
And those who, when tyranny strikes them, they retaliate [in a just manner]. (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 39)Tafsir
وَجَزٰۤؤُا سَيِّئَةٍ سَيِّئَةٌ مِّثْلُهَا ۚفَمَنْ عَفَا وَاَصْلَحَ فَاَجْرُهٗ عَلَى اللّٰهِ ۗاِنَّهٗ لَا يُحِبُّ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ ٤٠
- wajazāu
- وَجَزَٰٓؤُا۟
- (The) recompense
- sayyi-atin
- سَيِّئَةٍ
- (of) an evil
- sayyi-atun
- سَيِّئَةٌ
- (is) an evil
- mith'luhā
- مِّثْلُهَاۖ
- like it
- faman
- فَمَنْ
- But whoever
- ʿafā
- عَفَا
- pardons
- wa-aṣlaḥa
- وَأَصْلَحَ
- and makes reconciliation
- fa-ajruhu
- فَأَجْرُهُۥ
- then his reward
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- (is) on
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۚ
- Allah
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed He
- lā
- لَا
- (does) not
- yuḥibbu
- يُحِبُّ
- like
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- the wrongdoers
And the retribution for an evil act is an evil one like it, but whoever pardons and makes reconciliation – his reward is [due] from Allah. Indeed, He does not like wrongdoers. (QS. [42] Ash-Shuraa: 40)Tafsir
