Al-Qur'an Surah Fussilat Verse 27
Fussilat [41]: 27 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
فَلَنُذِيْقَنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا عَذَابًا شَدِيْدًاۙ وَّلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ اَسْوَاَ الَّذِيْ كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ (فصلت : ٤١)
- falanudhīqanna
- فَلَنُذِيقَنَّ
- But surely We will cause to taste
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieve
- ʿadhāban
- عَذَابًا
- a punishment
- shadīdan
- شَدِيدًا
- severe
- walanajziyannahum
- وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ
- and surely We will recompense them
- aswa-a
- أَسْوَأَ
- (the) worst
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- (of) what
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used (to)
- yaʿmalūna
- يَعْمَلُونَ
- do
Transliteration:
Falanuzeeqannal lazeena kafaroo 'azaaban shadeedanw wa lanajziyannahum aswallazee kaanoo ya'maloon(QS. Fuṣṣilat:27)
English / Sahih Translation:
But We will surely cause those who disbelieve to taste a severe punishment, and We will surely recompense them for the worst of what they had been doing. (QS. Fussilat, ayah 27)

God, exalted be He, says regarding them; But verily We will make those who disbelieve taste a severe chastisement, and We will verily requite them the worst of what they used to do, in other words, [with] the worst requital for their deeds.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
فَلَنُذِيقَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا
But surely, We shall cause those who disbelieve to taste a severe torment,
meaning, in return for what they do when they hear the Qur'an.
وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَسْوَأَ الَّذِي كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
and certainly, We shall requite them the worst of what they used to do.
means, for their evil deeds.
ذَلِكَ جَزَاء أَعْدَاء اللَّهِ النَّارُ لَهُمْ فِيهَا دَارُ الْخُلْدِ
جَزَاء بِمَا كَانُوا بِأيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ
