وَقَالُوْا لِجُلُوْدِهِمْ لِمَ شَهِدْتُّمْ عَلَيْنَا ۗقَالُوْٓا اَنْطَقَنَا اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْٓ اَنْطَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وَّهُوَ خَلَقَكُمْ اَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍۙ وَّاِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُوْنَ ٢١
- waqālū
- وَقَالُوا۟
- And they will say
- lijulūdihim
- لِجُلُودِهِمْ
- to their skins
- lima
- لِمَ
- "Why do
- shahidttum
- شَهِدتُّمْ
- you testify
- ʿalaynā
- عَلَيْنَاۖ
- against us?"
- qālū
- قَالُوٓا۟
- They will say
- anṭaqanā
- أَنطَقَنَا
- "Allah made us speak
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- "Allah made us speak
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِىٓ
- the One Who
- anṭaqa
- أَنطَقَ
- makes speak
- kulla
- كُلَّ
- every
- shayin
- شَىْءٍ
- thing
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- and He
- khalaqakum
- خَلَقَكُمْ
- created you
- awwala
- أَوَّلَ
- (the) first
- marratin
- مَرَّةٍ
- time
- wa-ilayhi
- وَإِلَيْهِ
- and to Him
- tur'jaʿūna
- تُرْجَعُونَ
- you will be returned"
And they will say to their skins, "Why have you testified against us?" They will say, "We were made to speak by Allah, who has made everything speak; and He created you the first time, and to Him you are returned. (QS. [41] Fussilat: 21)Tafsir
وَمَا كُنْتُمْ تَسْتَتِرُوْنَ اَنْ يَّشْهَدَ عَلَيْكُمْ سَمْعُكُمْ وَلَآ اَبْصَارُكُمْ وَلَا جُلُوْدُكُمْ وَلٰكِنْ ظَنَنْتُمْ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يَعْلَمُ كَثِيْرًا مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُوْنَ ٢٢
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you were
- tastatirūna
- تَسْتَتِرُونَ
- covering yourselves
- an
- أَن
- lest
- yashhada
- يَشْهَدَ
- testify
- ʿalaykum
- عَلَيْكُمْ
- against you
- samʿukum
- سَمْعُكُمْ
- your hearing
- walā
- وَلَآ
- and not
- abṣārukum
- أَبْصَٰرُكُمْ
- your sight
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- julūdukum
- جُلُودُكُمْ
- your skins
- walākin
- وَلَٰكِن
- but
- ẓanantum
- ظَنَنتُمْ
- you assumed
- anna
- أَنَّ
- that
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- lā
- لَا
- (does) not
- yaʿlamu
- يَعْلَمُ
- know
- kathīran
- كَثِيرًا
- much
- mimmā
- مِّمَّا
- of what
- taʿmalūna
- تَعْمَلُونَ
- you do
And you were not covering [i.e., protecting] yourselves, lest your hearing testify against you or your sight or your skins, but you assumed that Allah does not know much of what you do. (QS. [41] Fussilat: 22)Tafsir
وَذٰلِكُمْ ظَنُّكُمُ الَّذِيْ ظَنَنْتُمْ بِرَبِّكُمْ اَرْدٰىكُمْ فَاَصْبَحْتُمْ مِّنَ الْخٰسِرِيْنَ ٢٣
- wadhālikum
- وَذَٰلِكُمْ
- And that
- ẓannukumu
- ظَنُّكُمُ
- (was) your assumption
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- which
- ẓanantum
- ظَنَنتُم
- you assumed
- birabbikum
- بِرَبِّكُمْ
- about your Lord
- ardākum
- أَرْدَىٰكُمْ
- It has ruined you
- fa-aṣbaḥtum
- فَأَصْبَحْتُم
- and you have become
- mina
- مِّنَ
- of
- l-khāsirīna
- ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ
- the losers
And that was your assumption which you assumed about your Lord. It has brought you to ruin, and you have become among the losers." (QS. [41] Fussilat: 23)Tafsir
فَاِنْ يَّصْبِرُوْا فَالنَّارُ مَثْوًى لَّهُمْ ۚوَاِنْ يَّسْتَعْتِبُوْا فَمَا هُمْ مِّنَ الْمُعْتَبِيْنَ ٢٤
- fa-in
- فَإِن
- Then if
- yaṣbirū
- يَصْبِرُوا۟
- they endure
- fal-nāru
- فَٱلنَّارُ
- the Fire
- mathwan
- مَثْوًى
- (is) an abode
- lahum
- لَّهُمْۖ
- for them;
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- and if
- yastaʿtibū
- يَسْتَعْتِبُوا۟
- they ask for favor
- famā
- فَمَا
- then not
- hum
- هُم
- they
- mina
- مِّنَ
- (will be) of
- l-muʿ'tabīna
- ٱلْمُعْتَبِينَ
- those who receive favor
So [even] if they are patient, the Fire is a residence for them; and if they ask to appease [Allah], they will not be of those who are allowed to appease. (QS. [41] Fussilat: 24)Tafsir
۞ وَقَيَّضْنَا لَهُمْ قُرَنَاۤءَ فَزَيَّنُوْا لَهُمْ مَّا بَيْنَ اَيْدِيْهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَوْلُ فِيْٓ اُمَمٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْاِنْسِۚ اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا خٰسِرِيْنَ ࣖ ٢٥
- waqayyaḍnā
- وَقَيَّضْنَا
- And We have destined
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- quranāa
- قُرَنَآءَ
- companions
- fazayyanū
- فَزَيَّنُوا۟
- (who) made fair-seeming
- lahum
- لَهُم
- to them
- mā
- مَّا
- what
- bayna
- بَيْنَ
- (was) before them
- aydīhim
- أَيْدِيهِمْ
- (was) before them
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and what
- khalfahum
- خَلْفَهُمْ
- (was) behind them
- waḥaqqa
- وَحَقَّ
- and (is) justified
- ʿalayhimu
- عَلَيْهِمُ
- against them
- l-qawlu
- ٱلْقَوْلُ
- the Word
- fī
- فِىٓ
- among
- umamin
- أُمَمٍ
- nations
- qad
- قَدْ
- (that have) passed away
- khalat
- خَلَتْ
- (that have) passed away
- min
- مِن
- before them
- qablihim
- قَبْلِهِم
- before them
- mina
- مِّنَ
- of
- l-jini
- ٱلْجِنِّ
- the jinn
- wal-insi
- وَٱلْإِنسِۖ
- and the men
- innahum
- إِنَّهُمْ
- Indeed, they
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- were
- khāsirīna
- خَٰسِرِينَ
- losers
And We appointed for them companions who made attractive to them what was before them and what was behind them [of sin], and the word [i.e., decree] has come into effect upon them among nations which had passed on before them of jinn and men. Indeed, they [all] were losers. (QS. [41] Fussilat: 25)Tafsir
وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لَا تَسْمَعُوْا لِهٰذَا الْقُرْاٰنِ وَالْغَوْا فِيْهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَغْلِبُوْنَ ٢٦
- waqāla
- وَقَالَ
- And said
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieve
- lā
- لَا
- "(Do) not
- tasmaʿū
- تَسْمَعُوا۟
- listen
- lihādhā
- لِهَٰذَا
- to this
- l-qur'āni
- ٱلْقُرْءَانِ
- Quran
- wal-ghaw
- وَٱلْغَوْا۟
- and make noise
- fīhi
- فِيهِ
- therein
- laʿallakum
- لَعَلَّكُمْ
- that you may
- taghlibūna
- تَغْلِبُونَ
- overcome"
And those who disbelieve say, "Do not listen to this Quran and speak noisily during [the recitation of] it that perhaps you will overcome." (QS. [41] Fussilat: 26)Tafsir
فَلَنُذِيْقَنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا عَذَابًا شَدِيْدًاۙ وَّلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ اَسْوَاَ الَّذِيْ كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ٢٧
- falanudhīqanna
- فَلَنُذِيقَنَّ
- But surely We will cause to taste
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieve
- ʿadhāban
- عَذَابًا
- a punishment
- shadīdan
- شَدِيدًا
- severe
- walanajziyannahum
- وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ
- and surely We will recompense them
- aswa-a
- أَسْوَأَ
- (the) worst
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- (of) what
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used (to)
- yaʿmalūna
- يَعْمَلُونَ
- do
But We will surely cause those who disbelieve to taste a severe punishment, and We will surely recompense them for the worst of what they had been doing. (QS. [41] Fussilat: 27)Tafsir
ذٰلِكَ جَزَاۤءُ اَعْدَاۤءِ اللّٰهِ النَّارُ لَهُمْ فِيْهَا دَارُ الْخُلْدِ ۗجَزَاۤءً ۢبِمَا كَانُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَا يَجْحَدُوْنَ ٢٨
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- jazāu
- جَزَآءُ
- (is the) recompense
- aʿdāi
- أَعْدَآءِ
- (of the) enemies
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah -
- l-nāru
- ٱلنَّارُۖ
- the Fire;
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- therein
- dāru
- دَارُ
- (is the) home
- l-khul'di
- ٱلْخُلْدِۖ
- (of) the eternity
- jazāan
- جَزَآءًۢ
- (as) recompense
- bimā
- بِمَا
- for what
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used (to)
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
- of Our Verses
- yajḥadūna
- يَجْحَدُونَ
- reject
That is the recompense of the enemies of Allah – the Fire. For them therein is the home of eternity as recompense for what they, of Our verses, were rejecting. (QS. [41] Fussilat: 28)Tafsir
وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا رَبَّنَآ اَرِنَا الَّذَيْنِ اَضَلّٰنَا مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْاِنْسِ نَجْعَلْهُمَا تَحْتَ اَقْدَامِنَا لِيَكُوْنَا مِنَ الْاَسْفَلِيْنَ ٢٩
- waqāla
- وَقَالَ
- And (will) say
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieve
- rabbanā
- رَبَّنَآ
- "Our Lord!
- arinā
- أَرِنَا
- Show us
- alladhayni
- ٱلَّذَيْنِ
- those who
- aḍallānā
- أَضَلَّانَا
- misled us
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-jini
- ٱلْجِنِّ
- the jinn
- wal-insi
- وَٱلْإِنسِ
- and the men
- najʿalhumā
- نَجْعَلْهُمَا
- (so) we may put them
- taḥta
- تَحْتَ
- under
- aqdāminā
- أَقْدَامِنَا
- our feet
- liyakūnā
- لِيَكُونَا
- that they be
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-asfalīna
- ٱلْأَسْفَلِينَ
- the lowest"
And those who disbelieved will [then] say, "Our Lord, show us those who misled us of the jinn and men [so] we may put them under our feet that they will be among the lowest." (QS. [41] Fussilat: 29)Tafsir
اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ قَالُوْا رَبُّنَا اللّٰهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَقَامُوْا تَتَنَزَّلُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةُ اَلَّا تَخَافُوْا وَلَا تَحْزَنُوْا وَاَبْشِرُوْا بِالْجَنَّةِ الَّتِيْ كُنْتُمْ تُوْعَدُوْنَ ٣٠
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- say
- rabbunā
- رَبُّنَا
- "Our Lord
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- (is) Allah"
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- is'taqāmū
- ٱسْتَقَٰمُوا۟
- stand firm -
- tatanazzalu
- تَتَنَزَّلُ
- will descend
- ʿalayhimu
- عَلَيْهِمُ
- on them
- l-malāikatu
- ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
- the Angels
- allā
- أَلَّا
- "Do not
- takhāfū
- تَخَافُوا۟
- fear
- walā
- وَلَا
- and (do) not
- taḥzanū
- تَحْزَنُوا۟
- grieve
- wa-abshirū
- وَأَبْشِرُوا۟
- but receive the glad tidings
- bil-janati
- بِٱلْجَنَّةِ
- of Paradise
- allatī
- ٱلَّتِى
- which
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you were
- tūʿadūna
- تُوعَدُونَ
- promised
Indeed, those who have said, "Our Lord is Allah" and then remained on a right course – the angels will descend upon them, [saying], "Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised. (QS. [41] Fussilat: 30)Tafsir
