Al-Qur'an Surah Ghafir Verse 62
Ghafir [40]: 62 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
ذٰلِكُمُ اللّٰهُ رَبُّكُمْ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍۘ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ ۖفَاَنّٰى تُؤْفَكُوْنَ (غافر : ٤٠)
- dhālikumu

- (is) Allah

- رَبُّكُمْ
- your Lord

- خَٰلِقُ
- (the) Creator

- fa-annā
- فَأَنَّىٰ
- So how
- tu'fakūna
- تُؤْفَكُونَ
- are you deluded?
Transliteration:
Zaalikumul laahu Rabbukum khaaliqu kulli shai'; laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa fa annaa tu'fakoon(QS. Ghāfir:62)
English / Sahih Translation:
That is Allah, your Lord, Creator of all things; there is no deity except Him, so how are you deluded? (QS. Ghafir, ayah 62)

This is Allah, your Lord, the Creator of everything. There is no god but He. Then, from where are you being reversed (by your selfish desires)?

Tafsir jalalayn
That then is God, your Lord, the Creator of all things; there is no god except Him. How then are you made to deviate?, how then are you turned away from faith, despite the evidence having been established [for it]?
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
ذَلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ لاَّ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ
That is Allah, your Lord, the Creator of all things, La ilaha illa Huwa.
means, the One Who does all of these things is Allah, the One, the Unique, the Creator of all things, besides Whom there is no other god or lord.
فَأَنَّى تُوْفَكُونَ
How then are you turning away?
means, `how can you worship idols which cannot create anything but are themselves hand-made and carved?'
كَذَلِكَ يُوْفَكُ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا بِأيَاتِ اللَّهِ يَجْحَدُونَ
