Al-Qur'an Surah Ghafir Verse 44

Ghafir [40]: 44 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

فَسَتَذْكُرُوْنَ مَآ اَقُوْلُ لَكُمْۗ وَاُفَوِّضُ اَمْرِيْٓ اِلَى اللّٰهِ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ بَصِيْرٌ ۢبِالْعِبَادِ (غافر : ٤٠)

fasatadhkurūna
فَسَتَذْكُرُونَ
And you will remember
مَآ
what
aqūlu
أَقُولُ
I say
lakum
لَكُمْۚ
to you
wa-ufawwiḍu
وَأُفَوِّضُ
and I entrust
amrī
أَمْرِىٓ
my affair
ilā
إِلَى
to
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِۚ
Allah
inna
إِنَّ
Indeed
l-laha
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
baṣīrun
بَصِيرٌۢ
(is) All-Seer
bil-ʿibādi
بِٱلْعِبَادِ
of (His) slaves"

Transliteration:

Fasatazkuroona maaa aqoolu lakum; wa ufawwidu amreee ilal laah; innallaaha baseerum bil'ibaad (QS. Ghāfir:44)

English / Sahih Translation:

And you will remember what I [now] say to you, and I entrust my affair to Allah. Indeed, Allah is Seeing of [His] servants." (QS. Ghafir, ayah 44)

Mufti Taqi Usmani

Soon you will remember what I am saying to you. And I entrust my matter with Allah. Surely, Allah has all (His) servants in sight.”

English Literal

So you will remember what I say to you, and I authorize/entrust/empower my matter/affair to God, that truly God (is) seeing/knowing/understanding with the worshippers/slaves .

Tafsir jalalayn

For you will [soon] remember what I have said to you, when you see the chastisement with your own eyes. And I entrust my affair to God. Truly God is Seer of [His] servants' -- he said this after they threatened him [with retribution] for opposing their religion.

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

فَسَتَذْكُرُونَ مَا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ

And you will remember what I am telling you,

means, `you will come to know the truth of what I enjoined upon you and forbade you to do, the advice I gave you and what I explained to you. You will come to know, and you will feel regret at the time when regret will be of no avail.'

وَأُفَوِّضُ أَمْرِي إِلَى اللَّهِ

and my affair I leave it to Allah.

means, `I put my trust in Allah and seek His help, and I renounce you utterly.'

إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَصِيرٌ بِالْعِبَادِ



Verily, Allah is the All-Seer of (His) servants.

means, He knows all about them, may He be exalted and sanctified, and He guides those who deserve to be guided and sends astray those who deserve to be sent astray; His is the perfect proof, utmost wisdom and mighty power
