Al-Qur'an Surah An-Nisa Verse 173
An-Nisa [4]: 173 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
فَاَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ فَيُوَفِّيْهِمْ اُجُوْرَهُمْ وَيَزِيْدُهُمْ مِّنْ فَضْلِهٖۚ وَاَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ اسْتَنْكَفُوْا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوْا فَيُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَابًا اَلِيْمًاۙ وَّلَا يَجِدُوْنَ لَهُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ وَلِيًّا وَّلَا نَصِيْرًا (النساء : ٤)
- fa-ammā
- فَأَمَّا
- Then as for
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believed
- waʿamilū
- وَعَمِلُوا۟
- and did
- l-ṣāliḥāti
- ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
- the righteous deeds
- fayuwaffīhim
- فَيُوَفِّيهِمْ
- then He will give them in full
- ujūrahum
- أُجُورَهُمْ
- their reward
- wayazīduhum
- وَيَزِيدُهُم
- and give them more
- min
- مِّن
- from
- faḍlihi
- فَضْلِهِۦۖ
- His Bounty
- wa-ammā
- وَأَمَّا
- And as for
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- is'tankafū
- ٱسْتَنكَفُوا۟
- disdained
- wa-is'takbarū
- وَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟
- and were arrogant
- fayuʿadhibuhum
- فَيُعَذِّبُهُمْ
- then He will punish them
- ʿadhāban
- عَذَابًا
- (with) a punishment
- alīman
- أَلِيمًا
- painful
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yajidūna
- يَجِدُونَ
- will they find
- lahum
- لَهُم
- for themselves
- min
- مِّن
- from
- dūni
- دُونِ
- besides
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- waliyyan
- وَلِيًّا
- any protector
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- naṣīran
- نَصِيرًا
- any helper
Transliteration:
Fa ammal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati fa yuwaffeehim ujoorahum wa yazeeduhum min fadlihee wa ammal lazeenas tankafoo wastakbaroo fa yu'azzibuhum 'azaaban aleemanw wa laa yajidoona lahum min doonil laahi waliyyanw wa laa naseeraa(QS. an-Nisāʾ:173)
English / Sahih Translation:
And as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, He will give them in full their rewards and grant them extra from His bounty. But as for those who disdained and were arrogant, He will punish them with a painful punishment, and they will not find for themselves besides Allah any protector or helper. (QS. An-Nisa, ayah 173)

As for those who believe and do good deeds, He shall give them their reward in full, and give them more out of His grace. But, to those who spurn and show arrogance, He shall give a painful punishment, and they shall find for themselves neither a friend other than Allah, nor a helper.

English Literal
So but those who believed and made/did the correct/righteous deeds, so He fulfills/completes (to) them their rewards , and He increases them from His grace/favour, and but those who refused/rejected and were arrogant, so He tortures them a painful torture, and they do not find for them from other than God, a guardian/ally , and nor a victorior/savior .

Tafsir jalalayn
As for those who believed, who did righteous deeds, He will pay them in full their wages, the reward for their deeds, and He will give them more of His bounty, what no eye has seen, no ear has heard and no man's heart has ever wished for; and as for them who disdain and are too proud, to worship Him, He will chastise them with a painful chastisement, which is the chastisement of the Fire, and they shall not find for themselves, besides God, that is, other than Him, any friend, to ward it off them, or helper, to protect them from it.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ امَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ الصَّالِحَاتِ فَيُوَفِّيهِمْ أُجُورَهُمْ وَيَزيدُهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِ
So, as for those who believed and did deeds of righteousness, He will give their (due) rewards, and more out of His bounty.
Allah will award them their full rewards for their righteous actions and will give them more of His bounty, kindness, ample mercy and favor.
وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ اسْتَنكَفُواْ وَاسْتَكْبَرُواْ
But as for those who refused His worship and were proud,
out of arrogance, they refused to obey and worship Him.
فَيُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلُيمًا وَلَا يَجِدُونَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ اللّهِ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا
He will punish them with a painful torment. And they will not find for themselves besides Allah any protector or helper.
In another Ayah, Allah said,
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِى سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَخِرِينَ
Verily! Those who scorn My worship, they will surely enter Hell in humiliation. (40;60)
degradation, disgrace and dishonor, for they were arrogant and rebellious
