Al-Qur'an Surah An-Nisa Verse 170
An-Nisa [4]: 170 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَاۤءَكُمُ الرَّسُوْلُ بِالْحَقِّ مِنْ رَّبِّكُمْ فَاٰمِنُوْا خَيْرًا لَّكُمْ ۗوَاِنْ تَكْفُرُوْا فَاِنَّ لِلّٰهِ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَلِيْمًا حَكِيْمًا (النساء : ٤)

- ٱلنَّاسُ
- mankind!
- qad
- قَدْ
- Surely
- jāakumu
- جَآءَكُمُ
- has come to you
- l-rasūlu
- ٱلرَّسُولُ
- the Messenger
- bil-ḥaqi
- بِٱلْحَقِّ
- with the truth
- min
- مِن
- from
- rabbikum
- رَّبِّكُمْ
- your Lord
- faāminū
- فَـَٔامِنُوا۟
- so believe
- khayran
- خَيْرًا
- (it is) better
- lakum
- لَّكُمْۚ
- for you
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- But if
- takfurū
- تَكْفُرُوا۟
- you disbelieve
- fa-inna
- فَإِنَّ
- then indeed
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِ
- to Allah (belongs)
- mā
- مَا
- whatever
- fī
- فِى
- (is) in
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- the heavens
- wal-arḍi
- وَٱلْأَرْضِۚ
- and the earth
- wakāna
- وَكَانَ
- And is
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- ʿalīman
- عَلِيمًا
- All-Knowing
- ḥakīman
- حَكِيمًا
- All-Wise
Transliteration:
Yaaa aiyuhan naasu qad jaaa'akumur Rasoolu bilhaqqi mir Rabbikum fa ammminoo khairal lakum; wa in takfuroo fainnna lillaahi maa fis samaawaati wal ard; wa kaanal laahu 'Aleemann hakeemaa(QS. an-Nisāʾ:170)
English / Sahih Translation:
O mankind, the Messenger has come to you with the truth from your Lord, so believe; it is better for you. But if you disbelieve – then indeed, to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth. And ever is Allah Knowing and Wise. (QS. An-Nisa, ayah 170)

You, you the people, the Messenger had come to you with the truth from your Lord, so believe, (it is) best for you, and if you disbelieve, so to God (belongs) what (is) in the skies/space, and the earth/Planet Earth, and God was/is knowledgeable, wise/judicious

Tafsir jalalayn
O people, of Mecca, the Messenger, Muhammad (s), has now come to you with the truth from your Lord; so believe, in him and seek what, it is better for you, than that which you are presently seeking. And if you disbelieve, in him, then surely to God belongs all that is in the heavens and in the earth, as possessions, creatures and servants, and your disbelief will not harm Him; and God is ever Knowing, of His creation, Wise, in what He does with them.
