Al-Qur'an Surah An-Nisa Verse 121
An-Nisa [4]: 121 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
اُولٰۤىِٕكَ مَأْوٰىهُمْ جَهَنَّمُۖ وَلَا يَجِدُوْنَ عَنْهَا مَحِيْصًا (النساء : ٤)
- ulāika
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- Those -
- mawāhum
- مَأْوَىٰهُمْ
- their abode
- jahannamu
- جَهَنَّمُ
- (is) Hell
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yajidūna
- يَجِدُونَ
- they will find
- ʿanhā
- عَنْهَا
- from it
- maḥīṣan
- مَحِيصًا
- any escape
Transliteration:
Ulaaa'ika maawaahum Jahannamu wa laa yajidoona 'anhaa maheesaa(QS. an-Nisāʾ:121)
English / Sahih Translation:
The refuge of those will be Hell, and they will not find from it an escape. (QS. An-Nisa, ayah 121)

Those, their shelter/refuge (is) Hell, and they do not find from it an escape/diversion.

Tafsir jalalayn
For such -- their abode shall be Hell, and they shall find no refuge from it, no alternative [to it].
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
أُوْلَـيِكَ
of such (people),
refers to those who like and prefer what Shaytan is promising and assuring them of.
مَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ
The dwelling of such (people) is Hell,
as their destination and abode on the Day of Resurrection,
وَلَا يَجِدُونَ عَنْهَا مَحِيصًا
and they will find no way of escape from it.
meaning, they will not be able to avoid, avert, evade or elude the Hellfire.
The Reward of Righteous Believers
Allah then mentions the condition of the content righteous believers and the perfect honor they will earn in the end.
