Al-Qur'an Surah Az-Zumar Verse 40
Az-Zumar [39]: 40 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
مَنْ يَّأْتِيْهِ عَذَابٌ يُّخْزِيْهِ وَيَحِلُّ عَلَيْهِ عَذَابٌ مُّقِيْمٌ (الزمر : ٣٩)

Transliteration:
Mai yaateehi 'azaabuny yukhzeehi wa yahillu 'alaihi 'azaabum muqeem(QS. az-Zumar:40)
English / Sahih Translation:
To whom will come a torment disgracing him and on whom will descend an enduring punishment." (QS. Az-Zumar, ayah 40)

Tafsir jalalayn
to whom (man, introduces the relative clause that is the direct object of [the action of] `knowing') will come a chastisement that will disgrace him and on whom there will descend a lasting chastisement', an everlasting one, namely, the chastisement of the Fire. Indeed God [then] disgraced them at Badr.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
مَن يَأْتِيهِ عَذَابٌ يُخْزِيهِ
To whom comes a disgracing torment,
means, in this world,
وَيَحِلُّ عَلَيْهِ عَذَابٌ مُّقِيمٌ
and on whom descends an everlasting torment.
means, ongoing and eternal, with no escape, which will come on the Day of Resurrection.
