Az-Zumar [39]: 25 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

كَذَّبَ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ فَاَتٰىهُمُ الْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ (الزمر : ٣٩)

Transliteration:

Kazzabal lazeena min qablihim fa ataahumul 'azaabu min haisu laa yash'uroon (QS. az-Zumar:25)

English / Sahih Translation:

Those before them denied, and punishment came upon them from where they did not perceive. (QS. Az-Zumar, ayah 25)

Those before them had also rejected (the messengers) and consequently, the punishment came upon them in a way that they had never imagined.

Those who were before them denied, their messengers with regard to the coming of the chastisement; and so the chastisement came on them whence they were not aware, in a way that would never have occurred to them.

means, the previous generations who denied the Messengers were destroyed by Allah for their sins. And none had they to protect them from Allah
