ثُمَّ اِنَّكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ عِنْدَ رَبِّكُمْ تَخْتَصِمُوْنَ ࣖ ۔ ٣١
- thumma

- إِنَّكُمْ
- indeed you
- yawma
- يَوْمَ
- (on the) Day
- l-qiyāmati
- ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
- (of) the Resurrection
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- before
- rabbikum
- رَبِّكُمْ
- your Lord
- takhtaṣimūna
- تَخْتَصِمُونَ
- will dispute
Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, before your Lord, will dispute. (QS. [39] Az-Zumar: 31)Tafsir
۞ فَمَنْ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ كَذَبَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ وَكَذَّبَ بِالصِّدْقِ اِذْ جَاۤءَهٗۗ اَلَيْسَ فِيْ جَهَنَّمَ مَثْوًى لِّلْكٰفِرِيْنَ ٣٢
- faman
- فَمَنْ
- Then who
- aẓlamu
- أَظْلَمُ
- (is) more unjust
- mimman
- مِمَّن
- than (one) who
- kadhaba
- كَذَبَ
- lies
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- against
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- wakadhaba
- وَكَذَّبَ
- and denies
- bil-ṣid'qi
- بِٱلصِّدْقِ
- the truth
- idh
- إِذْ
- when
- jāahu
- جَآءَهُۥٓۚ
- it comes to him?
- alaysa
- أَلَيْسَ
- Is (there) not
- fī
- فِى
- in
- jahannama
- جَهَنَّمَ
- Hell
- mathwan
- مَثْوًى
- an abode
- lil'kāfirīna
- لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ
- for the disbelievers?
So who is more unjust than one who lies about Allah and denies the truth when it has come to him? Is there not in Hell a residence for the disbelievers? (QS. [39] Az-Zumar: 32)Tafsir
وَالَّذِيْ جَاۤءَ بِالصِّدْقِ وَصَدَّقَ بِهٖٓ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْمُتَّقُوْنَ ٣٣
- wa-alladhī
- وَٱلَّذِى
- And the one who
- jāa
- جَآءَ
- brought
- bil-ṣid'qi
- بِٱلصِّدْقِ
- the truth
- waṣaddaqa
- وَصَدَّقَ
- and believed
- bihi
- بِهِۦٓۙ
- in it
- ulāika
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- those
- humu
- هُمُ
- [they]
- l-mutaqūna
- ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ
- (are) the righteous
And the one who has brought the truth [i.e., the Prophet (^)] and [they who] believed in it – those are the righteous. (QS. [39] Az-Zumar: 33)Tafsir
لَهُمْ مَّا يَشَاۤءُوْنَ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ ۗ ذٰلِكَ جَزٰۤؤُا الْمُحْسِنِيْنَۚ ٣٤
- lahum
- لَهُم
- For them
- mā
- مَّا
- (is) what
- yashāūna
- يَشَآءُونَ
- they wish
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- with
- rabbihim
- رَبِّهِمْۚ
- their Lord
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- jazāu
- جَزَآءُ
- (is the) reward
- l-muḥ'sinīna
- ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
- (of) the good-doers
They will have whatever they desire with their Lord. That is the reward of the doers of good – (QS. [39] Az-Zumar: 34)Tafsir
لِيُكَفِّرَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمْ اَسْوَاَ الَّذِيْ عَمِلُوْا وَيَجْزِيَهُمْ اَجْرَهُمْ بِاَحْسَنِ الَّذِيْ كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ٣٥
- liyukaffira
- لِيُكَفِّرَ
- That Allah will remove
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- That Allah will remove
- ʿanhum
- عَنْهُمْ
- from them
- aswa-a
- أَسْوَأَ
- (the) worst
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- (of) what
- ʿamilū
- عَمِلُوا۟
- they did
- wayajziyahum
- وَيَجْزِيَهُمْ
- and reward them
- ajrahum
- أَجْرَهُم
- their due
- bi-aḥsani
- بِأَحْسَنِ
- for (the) best
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- (of) what
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used (to)
- yaʿmalūna
- يَعْمَلُونَ
- do
That Allah may remove from them the worst of what they did and reward them their due for the best of what they used to do. (QS. [39] Az-Zumar: 35)Tafsir
اَلَيْسَ اللّٰهُ بِكَافٍ عَبْدَهٗۗ وَيُخَوِّفُوْنَكَ بِالَّذِيْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِهٖۗ وَمَنْ يُّضْلِلِ اللّٰهُ فَمَا لَهٗ مِنْ هَادٍۚ ٣٦
- alaysa
- أَلَيْسَ
- Is not
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- bikāfin
- بِكَافٍ
- sufficient
- ʿabdahu
- عَبْدَهُۥۖ
- (for) His slave?
- wayukhawwifūnaka
- وَيُخَوِّفُونَكَ
- And they threaten you
- bi-alladhīna
- بِٱلَّذِينَ
- with those
- min
- مِن
- besides Him
- dūnihi
- دُونِهِۦۚ
- besides Him
- waman
- وَمَن
- And whoever
- yuḍ'lili
- يُضْلِلِ
- Allah lets go astray
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah lets go astray
- famā
- فَمَا
- then not
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- for him
- min
- مِنْ
- any
- hādin
- هَادٍ
- guide
Is not Allah sufficient for His Servant [i.e., Prophet Muhammad (^)]? And [yet], they threaten you with those [they worship] other than Him. And whoever Allah leaves astray – for him there is no guide. (QS. [39] Az-Zumar: 36)Tafsir
وَمَنْ يَّهْدِ اللّٰهُ فَمَا لَهٗ مِنْ مُّضِلٍّ ۗ اَلَيْسَ اللّٰهُ بِعَزِيْزٍ ذِى انْتِقَامٍ ٣٧
- waman
- وَمَن
- And whoever
- yahdi
- يَهْدِ
- Allah guides
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah guides
- famā
- فَمَا
- then not
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- for him
- min
- مِن
- any
- muḍillin
- مُّضِلٍّۗ
- misleader
- alaysa
- أَلَيْسَ
- Is not
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- biʿazīzin
- بِعَزِيزٍ
- All-Mighty
- dhī
- ذِى
- All-Able of retribution?
- intiqāmin
- ٱنتِقَامٍ
- All-Able of retribution?
And whoever Allah guides – for him there is no misleader. Is not Allah Exalted in Might and Owner of Retribution? (QS. [39] Az-Zumar: 37)Tafsir
وَلَىِٕنْ سَاَلْتَهُمْ مَّنْ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ لَيَقُوْلُنَّ اللّٰهُ ۗ قُلْ اَفَرَءَيْتُمْ مَّا تَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ اِنْ اَرَادَنِيَ اللّٰهُ بِضُرٍّ هَلْ هُنَّ كٰشِفٰتُ ضُرِّهٖٓ اَوْ اَرَادَنِيْ بِرَحْمَةٍ هَلْ هُنَّ مُمْسِكٰتُ رَحْمَتِهٖۗ قُلْ حَسْبِيَ اللّٰهُ ۗعَلَيْهِ يَتَوَكَّلُ الْمُتَوَكِّلُوْنَ ٣٨
- wala-in
- وَلَئِن
- And if
- sa-altahum
- سَأَلْتَهُم
- you ask them
- man
- مَّنْ
- who
- khalaqa
- خَلَقَ
- created
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- the heavens
- wal-arḍa
- وَٱلْأَرْضَ
- and the earth?
- layaqūlunna
- لَيَقُولُنَّ
- Surely, they will say
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُۚ
- "Allah"
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- afara-aytum
- أَفَرَءَيْتُم
- "Then do you see
- mā
- مَّا
- what
- tadʿūna
- تَدْعُونَ
- you invoke
- min
- مِن
- besides
- dūni
- دُونِ
- besides
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah?
- in
- إِنْ
- if
- arādaniya
- أَرَادَنِىَ
- Allah intended for me
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah intended for me
- biḍurrin
- بِضُرٍّ
- harm
- hal
- هَلْ
- are
- hunna
- هُنَّ
- they
- kāshifātu
- كَٰشِفَٰتُ
- removers
- ḍurrihi
- ضُرِّهِۦٓ
- (of) harm (from) Him
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- arādanī
- أَرَادَنِى
- if He intended for me
- biraḥmatin
- بِرَحْمَةٍ
- mercy
- hal
- هَلْ
- are
- hunna
- هُنَّ
- they
- mum'sikātu
- مُمْسِكَٰتُ
- withholders
- raḥmatihi
- رَحْمَتِهِۦۚ
- (of) His mercy?"
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- ḥasbiya
- حَسْبِىَ
- "Sufficient (is) Allah for me
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُۖ
- "Sufficient (is) Allah for me
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- upon Him
- yatawakkalu
- يَتَوَكَّلُ
- put trust
- l-mutawakilūna
- ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ
- those who trust"
And if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "Allah." Say, "Then have you considered what you invoke besides Allah? If Allah intended me harm, are they removers of His harm; or if He intended me mercy, are they withholders of His mercy?" Say, "Sufficient for me is Allah; upon Him [alone] rely the [wise] reliers." (QS. [39] Az-Zumar: 38)Tafsir
قُلْ يٰقَوْمِ اعْمَلُوْا عَلٰى مَكَانَتِكُمْ اِنِّيْ عَامِلٌ ۚفَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَۙ ٣٩
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- yāqawmi
- يَٰقَوْمِ
- "O my people!
- iʿ'malū
- ٱعْمَلُوا۟
- Work
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- (according) to
- makānatikum
- مَكَانَتِكُمْ
- your position
- innī
- إِنِّى
- indeed I am
- ʿāmilun
- عَٰمِلٌۖ
- working;
- fasawfa
- فَسَوْفَ
- then soon
- taʿlamūna
- تَعْلَمُونَ
- you will know
Say, "O my people, work according to your position, [for] indeed, I am working; and you are going to know (QS. [39] Az-Zumar: 39)Tafsir
مَنْ يَّأْتِيْهِ عَذَابٌ يُّخْزِيْهِ وَيَحِلُّ عَلَيْهِ عَذَابٌ مُّقِيْمٌ ٤٠
- man
- مَن
- (Upon) whom
- yatīhi
- يَأْتِيهِ
- will come
- ʿadhābun
- عَذَابٌ
- a punishment
- yukh'zīhi
- يُخْزِيهِ
- disgracing him
- wayaḥillu
- وَيَحِلُّ
- and descends
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- on him
- ʿadhābun
- عَذَابٌ
- a punishment
- muqīmun
- مُّقِيمٌ
- everlasting"
To whom will come a torment disgracing him and on whom will descend an enduring punishment." (QS. [39] Az-Zumar: 40)Tafsir
