Al-Qur'an Surah Sad Verse 57
Sad [38]: 57 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
هٰذَاۙ فَلْيَذُوْقُوْهُ حَمِيْمٌ وَّغَسَّاقٌۙ (ص : ٣٨)
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- This (is so)!
- falyadhūqūhu
- فَلْيَذُوقُوهُ
- Then let them taste it
- ḥamīmun
- حَمِيمٌ
- boiling fluid
- waghassāqun
- وَغَسَّاقٌ
- and purulence
Transliteration:
Haazaa falyazooqoohu hameemunw wa ghassaaq(QS. Ṣād:57)
English / Sahih Translation:
This – so let them taste it – is scalding water and [foul] purulence. (QS. Sad, ayah 57)

Tafsir jalalayn
This, chastisement -- inferred [as so] by what follows -- let them then taste it; burning hot water and pus (read ghasq or ghassq), the festering matter excreted by the inhabitants of the Fire;
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
and worst (indeed) is that place to rest! This is so! Then let them taste it -- Hamim and Ghassaq.
Hamim is something that has been heated to the ultimate degree, and Ghassaq is the opposite, something that is so intensely cold that it is unbearable.
Allah says;
وَاخَرُ مِن شَكْلِهِ أَزْوَاجٌ
