Al-Qur'an Surah Sad Verse 14

Sad [38]: 14 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

اِنْ كُلٌّ اِلَّا كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ عِقَابِ ࣖ (ص : ٣٨)

Transliteration:

In kullun illaa kazzabar Rusula fahaqqa 'iqaab (QS. Ṣād:14)

English / Sahih Translation:

Each of them denied the messengers, so My penalty was justified. (QS. Sad, ayah 14)

All of them did nothing but declare the messengers as liars; hence, My punishment became due.

English Literal

That (E) each/all except they did (without exception) lied/denied/falsified the messengers, so (they) deserved My punishment.

Tafsir jalalayn

Each one, of the factions, did not but deny the messengers, for when they deny one, they have [in effect] denied them all, since their call [to God] is [the same] one, namely, the call to [affirmation of] His Oneness. So My retribution was justified, [it was] necessary.

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

Not one of them but denied the Messengers; therefore My torment was justified.

`The reason for their destruction was their disbelief in the Messengers, so let those who are addressed here beware and be afraid.'

وَمَا يَنظُرُ هَوُلَاء إِلاَّ صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً مَّا لَهَا مِن فَوَاقٍ
