61
قَالُوْا رَبَّنَا مَنْ قَدَّمَ لَنَا هٰذَا فَزِدْهُ عَذَابًا ضِعْفًا فِى النَّارِ ٦١
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- They will say
- rabbanā
- رَبَّنَا
- "Our Lord
- man
- مَن
- whoever
- qaddama
- قَدَّمَ
- brought
- lanā
- لَنَا
- upon us
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- this;
- fazid'hu
- فَزِدْهُ
- increase for him
- ʿadhāban
- عَذَابًا
- a punishment
- ḍiʿ'fan
- ضِعْفًا
- double
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-nāri
- ٱلنَّارِ
- the Fire"
They will say, "Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us – increase for him double punishment in the Fire." (QS. [38] Sad: 61)Tafsir
62
وَقَالُوْا مَا لَنَا لَا نَرٰى رِجَالًا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُمْ مِّنَ الْاَشْرَارِ ٦٢
- waqālū
- وَقَالُوا۟
- And they will say
- mā
- مَا
- "What (is)
- lanā
- لَنَا
- for us
- lā
- لَا
- not
- narā
- نَرَىٰ
- we see
- rijālan
- رِجَالًا
- men
- kunnā
- كُنَّا
- we used (to)
- naʿudduhum
- نَعُدُّهُم
- count them
- mina
- مِّنَ
- among
- l-ashrāri
- ٱلْأَشْرَارِ
- the bad ones?
And they will say, "Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst? (QS. [38] Sad: 62)Tafsir
63
اَتَّخَذْنٰهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا اَمْ زَاغَتْ عَنْهُمُ الْاَبْصَارُ ٦٣
- attakhadhnāhum
- أَتَّخَذْنَٰهُمْ
- Did we take them
- sikh'riyyan
- سِخْرِيًّا
- (in) ridicule
- am
- أَمْ
- or
- zāghat
- زَاغَتْ
- has turned away
- ʿanhumu
- عَنْهُمُ
- from them
- l-abṣāru
- ٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ
- the vision?"
Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them?" (QS. [38] Sad: 63)Tafsir
64
اِنَّ ذٰلِكَ لَحَقٌّ تَخَاصُمُ اَهْلِ النَّارِ ࣖ ٦٤
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- laḥaqqun
- لَحَقٌّ
- (is) surely (the) truth -
- takhāṣumu
- تَخَاصُمُ
- (the) quarreling
- ahli
- أَهْلِ
- (of the) people
- l-nāri
- ٱلنَّارِ
- (of) the Fire
Indeed, that is truth [i.e., reality] – the quarreling of the people of the Fire. (QS. [38] Sad: 64)Tafsir
65
قُلْ اِنَّمَآ اَنَا۠ مُنْذِرٌ ۖوَّمَا مِنْ اِلٰهٍ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ ٦٥
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- innamā
- إِنَّمَآ
- "Only
- anā
- أَنَا۠
- I am
- mundhirun
- مُنذِرٌۖ
- a warner
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- min
- مِنْ
- (is there) any
- ilāhin
- إِلَٰهٍ
- god
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- l-wāḥidu
- ٱلْوَٰحِدُ
- the One
- l-qahāru
- ٱلْقَهَّارُ
- the Irresistible
Say, [O Muhammad], "I am only a warner, and there is not any deity except Allah, the One, the Prevailing, (QS. [38] Sad: 65)Tafsir
66
رَبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا الْعَزِيْزُ الْغَفَّارُ ٦٦
- rabbu
- رَبُّ
- Lord
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- (of) the heavens
- wal-arḍi
- وَٱلْأَرْضِ
- and the earth
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and whatever
- baynahumā
- بَيْنَهُمَا
- (is) between them
- l-ʿazīzu
- ٱلْعَزِيزُ
- the All-Mighty
- l-ghafāru
- ٱلْغَفَّٰرُ
- the Oft-Forgiving"
Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." (QS. [38] Sad: 66)Tafsir
67
قُلْ هُوَ نَبَؤٌا عَظِيْمٌۙ ٦٧
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- huwa
- هُوَ
- "It (is)
- naba-on
- نَبَؤٌا۟
- a news
- ʿaẓīmun
- عَظِيمٌ
- great
Say, "It is great news (QS. [38] Sad: 67)Tafsir
68
اَنْتُمْ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضُوْنَ ٦٨
- antum
- أَنتُمْ
- You
- ʿanhu
- عَنْهُ
- from it
- muʿ'riḍūna
- مُعْرِضُونَ
- turn away
From which you turn away. (QS. [38] Sad: 68)Tafsir
69
مَا كَانَ لِيَ مِنْ عِلْمٍۢ بِالْمَلَاِ الْاَعْلٰٓى اِذْ يَخْتَصِمُوْنَ ٦٩
- mā
- مَا
- Not
- kāna
- كَانَ
- is
- liya
- لِىَ
- for me
- min
- مِنْ
- any
- ʿil'min
- عِلْمٍۭ
- knowledge
- bil-mala-i
- بِٱلْمَلَإِ
- (of) the chiefs
- l-aʿlā
- ٱلْأَعْلَىٰٓ
- the exalted
- idh
- إِذْ
- when
- yakhtaṣimūna
- يَخْتَصِمُونَ
- they were disputing
I had no knowledge of the exalted assembly [of angels] when they were disputing [the creation of Adam]. (QS. [38] Sad: 69)Tafsir
70
اِنْ يُّوْحٰىٓ اِلَيَّ اِلَّآ اَنَّمَآ اَنَا۠ نَذِيْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌ ٧٠
- in
- إِن
- Not
- yūḥā
- يُوحَىٰٓ
- has been revealed
- ilayya
- إِلَىَّ
- to me
- illā
- إِلَّآ
- except
- annamā
- أَنَّمَآ
- that only
- anā
- أَنَا۠
- I am
- nadhīrun
- نَذِيرٌ
- a warner
- mubīnun
- مُّبِينٌ
- clear"
It has not been revealed to me except that I am a clear warner." (QS. [38] Sad: 70)Tafsir
