Al-Qur'an Surah As-Saffat Verse 96
As-Saffat [37]: 96 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
وَاللّٰهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ (الصافات : ٣٧)
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- While Allah
- khalaqakum
- خَلَقَكُمْ
- created you
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And what
- taʿmalūna
- تَعْمَلُونَ
- you make?"
Transliteration:
Wallaahu khalaqakum wa maa ta'maloon(QS. aṣ-Ṣāffāt:96)
English / Sahih Translation:
While Allah created you and that which you do?" (QS. As-Saffat, ayah 96)

when God created you and whatever you make?', [whether it be] your act of carving and that which you have carved? So worship Him alone! (the m [in wa-m ta`malna, `and whatever you make'] is that of the verbal noun; but it is also said to introduce a relative clause, or it is adjectivally qualified).
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
While Allah has created you and what you make!
This may mean, `Allah has created you and what you do;'
or it may mean, `Allah has created you and what you make.'
Both views are synonymous. The former is more apparent because of the report recorded by Al-Bukhari in the Book Af`al Al-`Ibad from Hudhayfah, attributed to the Prophet;
إِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى يَصْنَعُ كُلَّ صَانِعٍ وَصَنْعَتَه
Allah has created every doer of deeds and what he does. Thereupon he recited;
وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
(While Allah has created you and what you make!)
When the proof had been established against them, they resolved to seize him by force and,
قَالُوا ابْنُوا لَهُ بُنْيَانًا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِي الْجَحِيمِ
