Al-Qur'an Surah As-Saffat Verse 91
As-Saffat [37]: 91 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
فَرَاغَ اِلٰٓى اٰلِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ اَلَا تَأْكُلُوْنَۚ (الصافات : ٣٧)

- ءَالِهَتِهِمْ

- فَقَالَ

- "Do not
- takulūna
- تَأْكُلُونَ
- you eat?
Transliteration:
Faraagha ilaaa aalihatihim faqaala alaa taakuloon(QS. aṣ-Ṣāffāt:91)
English / Sahih Translation:
Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? (QS. As-Saffat, ayah 91)

Tafsir jalalayn
Then he turned, he stole away, to their gods, the idols, in front of which the food had been placed, and said, mockingly; `Will you not eat? -- but they failed to utter [a word].
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
فَرَاغَ إِلَى الِهَتِهِمْ
Then he turned to their gods,
meaning, he went to them after they had left, quickly and secretly.
فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ
and said;"Will you not eat?"
They had placed food before them as a sacrifice, so that the food might be blessed. When Ibrahim, peace be upon him, looked at the food that was before them, he said;
