Al-Qur'an Surah As-Saffat Verse 40
As-Saffat [37]: 40 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
اِلَّا عِبَادَ اللّٰهِ الْمُخْلَصِيْنَ (الصافات : ٣٧)
- illā
- إِلَّا
- Except
- ʿibāda
- عِبَادَ
- (the) slaves
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- l-mukh'laṣīna
- ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
- the chosen ones
Transliteration:
Illaa 'ibaadal laahil mukhlaseen(QS. aṣ-Ṣāffāt:40)
English / Sahih Translation:
But not the chosen servants of Allah. (QS. As-Saffat, ayah 40)

Except for God's sincere servants, namely, the believers (the exception clause here is a discontinuous one),

Save the chosen servants of Allah.
meaning, they will not taste the painful torment nor will they be brought to account. Their evil acts, if there are any, will be overlooked, and each good deed will be rewarded in multiples of between ten and seven hundred, or as much as Allah wills.
