Al-Qur'an Surah As-Saffat Verse 37

As-Saffat [37]: 37 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

بَلْ جَاۤءَ بِالْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ (الصافات : ٣٧)

the Messengers

Transliteration:

bal jaaa'a bilhaqqi wa saddaqal mursaleen (QS. aṣ-Ṣāffāt:37)

English / Sahih Translation:

Rather, he [i.e., the Prophet (^)] has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers. (QS. As-Saffat, ayah 37)

No, he has come with Truth and has confirmed all the messengers (of Allah).

Tafsir jalalayn

God, exalted be He, says; Nay, but he has brought [them] the truth and confirmed the [earlier] messengers, namely, those who had also brought this [truth], which is that there is no god except God.

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

بَلْ جَاء بِالْحَقِّ

Nay! he has come with the truth,

meaning, the Messenger of Allah has brought the truth with all that Allah has revealed to him of stories and commandments.

وَصَدَّقَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ



and he confirms the Messengers.

means, he fulfills their prophecies of his praiseworthy characteristics and his perfect way, and he tells people of the Laws and commands of Allah, as they said he would.

مَّا يُقَالُ لَكَ إِلاَّ مَا قَدْ قِيلَ لِلرُّسُلِ مِن قَبْلِكَ

Nothing is said to you except what was said to the Messengers before you. (41;43)
