Al-Qur'an Surah As-Saffat Verse 167
As-Saffat [37]: 167 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
وَاِنْ كَانُوْا لَيَقُوْلُوْنَۙ (الصافات : ٣٧)
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- And indeed
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used (to)
- layaqūlūna
- لَيَقُولُونَ
- say
Transliteration:
Wa in kaanoo la yaqooloon(QS. aṣ-Ṣāffāt:167)
English / Sahih Translation:
And indeed, they [i.e., the disbelievers] used to say, (QS. As-Saffat, ayah 167)
Mufti Taqi Usmani
And they (the pagans) used to say,
Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
They certainly used to say,
Ruwwad Translation Center
And [the pagans] used to say,
A. J. Arberry
What though they would say,
Abdul Haleem
[The disbelievers] used to say,
Abdul Majid Daryabadi
And they surely were wont to say:
Abdullah Yusuf Ali
And there were those who said,
Abul Ala Maududi
They used to say before:
Ahmed Ali
They used to say:
Ahmed Raza Khan
And indeed the disbelievers used to say, –
Ali Quli Qarai
They indeed, used to say,
Ali Ünal
They (the polytheists) surely used to say:
Amatul Rahman Omar
And surely, these (infidels) used to say,
English Literal
And if they (the disbelievers) were saying (E):
Faridul Haque
And indeed the disbelievers used to say, -
Hamid S. Aziz
And there are those who used to say,
Hilali & Khan
And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say;
Maulana Mohammad Ali
And surely they used to say:
Mohammad Habib Shakir
And surely they used to say:
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
And indeed they used to say:
Muhammad Sarwar
Even though they (unbelievers) say,
Qaribullah & Darwish
What, would they then say:
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
And indeed they used to say:
Wahiduddin Khan
They say,
Talal Itani
Even though they used to say.
Tafsir jalalayn
And indeed (in, is softened in place of the hardened one) they, the Meccan disbelievers, used to say,
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
لَوْ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكْرًا مِّنْ الاَْوَّلِينَ
