Al-Qur'an Surah As-Saffat Verse 119

Mufti Taqi Usmani

And We left for them (a word of praise) among the later people,

Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

And We blessed them ˹with honourable mention˺ among later generations:

and We left for them [a favorable mention] among later generations:

and left for them among the later folk

We let them be praised by succeeding generations:

And We left for the twain among the posterity:

And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times;

and preserved for them a good name among posterity.

And left (their remembrance) for posterity.

And We kept their praise among the latter generations.

and left for them a good name in posterity.

And We left for them among later-comers (until the end of time, this greeting and remembrance of them and their Message):

And We left behind both of them (a blessed salutation) among the generations to come.

And We left on them (B) in the others/lasts .

and We left, We preserved, for them among posterity, fair praise [namely];

And We left for them among the later generations.

means, that after they died they would be mentioned in good terms and spoken of highly.

Then Allah explain this further;

سَلَمٌ عَلَى مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ
