        وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ اَكْثَرُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَۙ ٧١
- walaqad
 - وَلَقَدْ
 - And verily
 
- ḍalla
 - ضَلَّ
 - went astray
 
- qablahum
 - قَبْلَهُمْ
 - before them
 
- aktharu
 - أَكْثَرُ
 - most
 
- l-awalīna
 - ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
 - (of) the former (people)
 
And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples, (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 71)Tafsir
            72
        
        وَلَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَا فِيْهِمْ مُّنْذِرِيْنَ ٧٢
- walaqad
 - وَلَقَدْ
 - And verily
 
- arsalnā
 - أَرْسَلْنَا
 - We sent
 
- fīhim
 - فِيهِم
 - among them
 
- mundhirīna
 - مُّنذِرِينَ
 - warners
 
And We had already sent among them warners. (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 72)Tafsir
            73
        
        فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُنْذَرِيْنَۙ ٧٣
- fa-unẓur
 - فَٱنظُرْ
 - Then see
 
- kayfa
 - كَيْفَ
 - how
 
- kāna
 - كَانَ
 - was
 
- ʿāqibatu
 - عَٰقِبَةُ
 - (the) end
 
- l-mundharīna
 - ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
 - (of) those who were warned
 
Then look how was the end of those who were warned – (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 73)Tafsir
            74
        
        اِلَّا عِبَادَ اللّٰهِ الْمُخْلَصِيْنَ ࣖ ٧٤
- illā
 - إِلَّا
 - Except
 
- ʿibāda
 - عِبَادَ
 - (the) slaves
 
- l-lahi
 - ٱللَّهِ
 - (of) Allah
 
- l-mukh'laṣīna
 - ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
 - the chosen ones
 
But not the chosen servants of Allah. (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 74)Tafsir
            75
        
        وَلَقَدْ نَادٰىنَا نُوْحٌ فَلَنِعْمَ الْمُجِيْبُوْنَۖ ٧٥
- walaqad
 - وَلَقَدْ
 - And verily
 
- nādānā
 - نَادَىٰنَا
 - called Us
 
- nūḥun
 - نُوحٌ
 - Nuh;
 
- falaniʿ'ma
 - فَلَنِعْمَ
 - and Best
 
- l-mujībūna
 - ٱلْمُجِيبُونَ
 - (are We as) Responders!
 
And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 75)Tafsir
            76
        
        وَنَجَّيْنٰهُ وَاَهْلَهٗ مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيْمِۖ ٧٦
- wanajjaynāhu
 - وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ
 - And We saved him
 
- wa-ahlahu
 - وَأَهْلَهُۥ
 - and his family
 
- mina
 - مِنَ
 - from
 
- l-karbi
 - ٱلْكَرْبِ
 - the distress
 
- l-ʿaẓīmi
 - ٱلْعَظِيمِ
 - the great
 
And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 76)Tafsir
            77
        
        وَجَعَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهٗ هُمُ الْبٰقِيْنَ ٧٧
- wajaʿalnā
 - وَجَعَلْنَا
 - And We made
 
- dhurriyyatahu
 - ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥ
 - his offspring
 
- humu
 - هُمُ
 - [they]
 
- l-bāqīna
 - ٱلْبَاقِينَ
 - the survivors
 
And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 77)Tafsir
            78
        
        وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى الْاٰخِرِيْنَ ۖ ٧٨
- wataraknā
 - وَتَرَكْنَا
 - And We left
 
- ʿalayhi
 - عَلَيْهِ
 - for him
 
- fī
 - فِى
 - among
 
- l-ākhirīna
 - ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ
 - the later generations
 
And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 78)Tafsir
            79
        
        سَلٰمٌ عَلٰى نُوْحٍ فِى الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ٧٩
- salāmun
 - سَلَٰمٌ
 - "Peace be
 
- ʿalā
 - عَلَىٰ
 - upon
 
- nūḥin
 - نُوحٍ
 - Nuh
 
- fī
 - فِى
 - among
 
- l-ʿālamīna
 - ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
 - the worlds"
 
"Peace upon Noah among the worlds." (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 79)Tafsir
            80
        
        اِنَّا كَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِى الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ ٨٠
- innā
 - إِنَّا
 - Indeed We
 
- kadhālika
 - كَذَٰلِكَ
 - thus
 
- najzī
 - نَجْزِى
 - [We] reward
 
- l-muḥ'sinīna
 - ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
 - the good-doers
 
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 80)Tafsir
