فَاِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُوْنَۙ ١٦١
- fa-innakum
- فَإِنَّكُمْ
- So indeed you

- taʿbudūna
- تَعْبُدُونَ
- you worship
So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 161)Tafsir

مَآ اَنْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَاتِنِيْنَۙ ١٦٢
- mā
- مَآ
- Not
- antum
- أَنتُمْ
- you
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- from Him
- bifātinīna
- بِفَٰتِنِينَ
- can tempt away (anyone)
You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 162)Tafsir
163
اِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ الْجَحِيْمِ ١٦٣
- illā
- إِلَّا
- Except
- man
- مَنْ
- who
- huwa
- هُوَ
- he
- ṣāli
- صَالِ
- (is) to burn
- l-jaḥīmi
- ٱلْجَحِيمِ
- (in) the Hellfire
Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 163)Tafsir

وَمَا مِنَّآ اِلَّا لَهٗ مَقَامٌ مَّعْلُوْمٌۙ ١٦٤
- wamā
- وَمَا
- "And not
- minnā
- مِنَّآ
- among us
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- for him
- maqāmun
- مَقَامٌ
- (is) a position
- maʿlūmun
- مَّعْلُومٌ
- known
[The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 164)Tafsir
165
وَاِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الصَّۤافُّوْنَۖ ١٦٥
- wa-innā
- وَإِنَّا
- And indeed we
- lanaḥnu
- لَنَحْنُ
- surely [we]
- l-ṣāfūna
- ٱلصَّآفُّونَ
- stand in rows
And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 165)Tafsir
166
وَاِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الْمُسَبِّحُوْنَ ١٦٦
- wa-innā
- وَإِنَّا
- And indeed we
- lanaḥnu
- لَنَحْنُ
- surely [we]
- l-musabiḥūna
- ٱلْمُسَبِّحُونَ
- glorify (Allah)"
And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 166)Tafsir

وَاِنْ كَانُوْا لَيَقُوْلُوْنَۙ ١٦٧
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- And indeed
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used (to)
- layaqūlūna
- لَيَقُولُونَ
- say
And indeed, they [i.e., the disbelievers] used to say, (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 167)Tafsir

لَوْ اَنَّ عِنْدَنَا ذِكْرًا مِّنَ الْاَوَّلِيْنَۙ ١٦٨
- law
- لَوْ
- "If
- anna
- أَنَّ
- that
- ʿindanā
- عِندَنَا
- we had
- dhik'ran
- ذِكْرًا
- a reminder
- mina
- مِّنَ
- from
- l-awalīna
- ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
- the former (people)
"If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 168)Tafsir
169
لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ اللّٰهِ الْمُخْلَصِيْنَ ١٦٩
- lakunnā
- لَكُنَّا
- Certainly we (would) have been
- ʿibāda
- عِبَادَ
- slaves
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- l-mukh'laṣīna
- ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
- the chosen"
We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 169)Tafsir

فَكَفَرُوْا بِهٖۚ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُوْنَ ١٧٠
- fakafarū
- فَكَفَرُوا۟
- But they disbelieved
- bihi
- بِهِۦۖ
- in it
- fasawfa
- فَسَوْفَ
- so soon
- yaʿlamūna
- يَعْلَمُونَ
- they will know
But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 170)Tafsir
