1
وَالصّٰۤفّٰتِ صَفًّاۙ ١
- wal-ṣāfāti
- وَٱلصَّٰٓفَّٰتِ
- By those lined
- ṣaffan
- صَفًّا
- (in) rows
By those [angels] lined up in rows (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 1)Tafsir
2
فَالزّٰجِرٰتِ زَجْرًاۙ ٢
- fal-zājirāti
- فَٱلزَّٰجِرَٰتِ
- And those who drive
- zajran
- زَجْرًا
- strongly
And those who drive [the clouds] (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 2)Tafsir
3
فَالتّٰلِيٰتِ ذِكْرًاۙ ٣
- fal-tāliyāti
- فَٱلتَّٰلِيَٰتِ
- And those who recite
- dhik'ran
- ذِكْرًا
- (the) Message
And those who recite the message, (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 3)Tafsir
4
اِنَّ اِلٰهَكُمْ لَوَاحِدٌۗ ٤
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- ilāhakum
- إِلَٰهَكُمْ
- your Lord
- lawāḥidun
- لَوَٰحِدٌ
- (is) surely One
Indeed, your God is One, (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 4)Tafsir
5
رَبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ الْمَشَارِقِۗ ٥
- rabbu
- رَّبُّ
- Lord
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- (of) the heavens
- wal-arḍi
- وَٱلْأَرْضِ
- and the earth
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and what
- baynahumā
- بَيْنَهُمَا
- (is) between both of them
- warabbu
- وَرَبُّ
- and Lord
- l-mashāriqi
- ٱلْمَشَٰرِقِ
- (of) each point of sunrise
Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 5)Tafsir
6
اِنَّا زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاۤءَ الدُّنْيَا بِزِيْنَةِ ِۨالْكَوَاكِبِۙ ٦
- innā
- إِنَّا
- Indeed We
- zayyannā
- زَيَّنَّا
- [We] adorned
- l-samāa
- ٱلسَّمَآءَ
- the heaven
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَا
- nearest
- bizīnatin
- بِزِينَةٍ
- with an adornment
- l-kawākibi
- ٱلْكَوَاكِبِ
- (of) the stars
Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 6)Tafsir
7
وَحِفْظًا مِّنْ كُلِّ شَيْطٰنٍ مَّارِدٍۚ ٧
- waḥif'ẓan
- وَحِفْظًا
- And (to) guard
- min
- مِّن
- against
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- every
- shayṭānin
- شَيْطَٰنٍ
- devil
- māridin
- مَّارِدٍ
- rebellious
And as protection against every rebellious devil (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 7)Tafsir
8
لَا يَسَّمَّعُوْنَ اِلَى الْمَلَاِ الْاَعْلٰى وَيُقْذَفُوْنَ مِنْ كُلِّ جَانِبٍۖ ٨
- lā
- لَّا
- Not
- yassammaʿūna
- يَسَّمَّعُونَ
- they may listen
- ilā
- إِلَى
- to
- l-mala-i
- ٱلْمَلَإِ
- the assembly
- l-aʿlā
- ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ
- [the] exalted
- wayuq'dhafūna
- وَيُقْذَفُونَ
- are pelted
- min
- مِن
- from
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- every
- jānibin
- جَانِبٍ
- side
[So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 8)Tafsir
9
دُحُوْرًا وَّلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ وَّاصِبٌ ٩
- duḥūran
- دُحُورًاۖ
- Repelled;
- walahum
- وَلَهُمْ
- and for them
- ʿadhābun
- عَذَابٌ
- (is) a punishment
- wāṣibun
- وَاصِبٌ
- perpetual
Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 9)Tafsir
10
اِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ الْخَطْفَةَ فَاَتْبَعَهٗ شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ ١٠
- illā
- إِلَّا
- Except
- man
- مَنْ
- (him) who
- khaṭifa
- خَطِفَ
- snatches
- l-khaṭfata
- ٱلْخَطْفَةَ
- (by) theft
- fa-atbaʿahu
- فَأَتْبَعَهُۥ
- but follows him
- shihābun
- شِهَابٌ
- a burning flame
- thāqibun
- ثَاقِبٌ
- piercing
Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. (QS. [37] As-Saffat: 10)Tafsir
