(Ya Sin)

51

وَنُفِخَ فِى الصُّوْرِ فَاِذَا هُمْ مِّنَ الْاَجْدَاثِ اِلٰى رَبِّهِمْ يَنْسِلُوْنَ ٥١

wanufikha
وَنُفِخَ
And will be blown
فِى
[in]
l-ṣūri
ٱلصُّورِ
the trumpet
fa-idhā
فَإِذَا
and behold!
hum
هُم
They
mina
مِّنَ
from
l-ajdāthi
ٱلْأَجْدَاثِ
the graves
ilā
إِلَىٰ
to
rabbihim
رَبِّهِمْ
their Lord
yansilūna
يَنسِلُونَ
[they] will hasten
And the Horn will be blown; and at once from the graves to their Lord they will hasten. (QS. [36] Ya-Sin: 51)
Tafsir
52

قَالُوْا يٰوَيْلَنَا مَنْۢ بَعَثَنَا مِنْ مَّرْقَدِنَا ۜهٰذَا مَا وَعَدَ الرَّحْمٰنُ وَصَدَقَ الْمُرْسَلُوْنَ ٥٢

qālū
قَالُوا۟
They [will] say
yāwaylanā
يَٰوَيْلَنَا
"O woe to us!
man
مَنۢ
Who
baʿathanā
بَعَثَنَا
has raised us
min
مِن
from
marqadinā
مَّرْقَدِنَاۗۜ
our sleeping place?"
hādhā
هَٰذَا
"This (is)
مَا
what
waʿada
وَعَدَ
(had) promised
l-raḥmānu
ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ
the Most Gracious
waṣadaqa
وَصَدَقَ
and told (the) truth
l-mur'salūna
ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ
the Messengers"
They will say, "O woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping place?" [The reply will be], "This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the truth." (QS. [36] Ya-Sin: 52)
Tafsir
53

اِنْ كَانَتْ اِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَّاحِدَةً فَاِذَا هُمْ جَمِيْعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُوْنَ ٥٣

in
إِن
Not
kānat
كَانَتْ
it will be
illā
إِلَّا
but
ṣayḥatan
صَيْحَةً
a shout
wāḥidatan
وَٰحِدَةً
single
fa-idhā
فَإِذَا
so behold!
hum
هُمْ
They
jamīʿun
جَمِيعٌ
all
ladaynā
لَّدَيْنَا
before Us
muḥ'ḍarūna
مُحْضَرُونَ
(will be) brought
It will not be but one blast, and at once they are all brought present before Us. (QS. [36] Ya-Sin: 53)
Tafsir
54

فَالْيَوْمَ لَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْـًٔا وَّلَا تُجْزَوْنَ اِلَّا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ ٥٤

fal-yawma
فَٱلْيَوْمَ
So this Day
لَا
not
tuẓ'lamu
تُظْلَمُ
will be wronged
nafsun
نَفْسٌ
a soul
shayan
شَيْـًٔا
(in) anything
walā
وَلَا
and not
tuj'zawna
تُجْزَوْنَ
you will be recompensed
illā
إِلَّا
except
مَا
(for) what
kuntum
كُنتُمْ
you used (to)
taʿmalūna
تَعْمَلُونَ
do
So today [i.e., the Day of Judgement] no soul will be wronged at all, and you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do. (QS. [36] Ya-Sin: 54)
Tafsir
55

اِنَّ اَصْحٰبَ الْجَنَّةِ الْيَوْمَ فِيْ شُغُلٍ فٰكِهُوْنَ ۚ ٥٥

inna
إِنَّ
Indeed
aṣḥāba
أَصْحَٰبَ
(the) companions
l-janati
ٱلْجَنَّةِ
(of) Paradise
l-yawma
ٱلْيَوْمَ
this Day
فِى
[in]
shughulin
شُغُلٍ
will be occupied
fākihūna
فَٰكِهُونَ
(in) amusement
Indeed the companions of Paradise, that Day, will be amused in [joyful] occupation – (QS. [36] Ya-Sin: 55)
Tafsir
56

هُمْ وَاَزْوَاجُهُمْ فِيْ ظِلٰلٍ عَلَى الْاَرَاۤىِٕكِ مُتَّكِـُٔوْنَ ۚ ٥٦

hum
هُمْ
They
wa-azwājuhum
وَأَزْوَٰجُهُمْ
and their spouses
فِى
in
ẓilālin
ظِلَٰلٍ
shades
ʿalā
عَلَى
on
l-arāiki
ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ
[the] couches
muttakiūna
مُتَّكِـُٔونَ
reclining
They and their spouses – in shade, reclining on adorned couches. (QS. [36] Ya-Sin: 56)
Tafsir
57

لَهُمْ فِيْهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَّلَهُمْ مَّا يَدَّعُوْنَ ۚ ٥٧

lahum
لَهُمْ
For them
fīhā
فِيهَا
therein
fākihatun
فَٰكِهَةٌ
(are) fruits
walahum
وَلَهُم
and for them
مَّا
(is) whatever
yaddaʿūna
يَدَّعُونَ
they call for
For them therein is fruit, and for them is whatever they request [or wish] (QS. [36] Ya-Sin: 57)
Tafsir
58

سَلٰمٌۗ قَوْلًا مِّنْ رَّبٍّ رَّحِيْمٍ ٥٨

salāmun
سَلَٰمٌ
"Peace"
qawlan
قَوْلًا
A word
min
مِّن
from
rabbin
رَّبٍّ
a Lord
raḥīmin
رَّحِيمٍ
Most Merciful
[And] "Peace," a word from a Merciful Lord. (QS. [36] Ya-Sin: 58)
Tafsir
59

وَامْتَازُوا الْيَوْمَ اَيُّهَا الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ ٥٩

wa-im'tāzū
وَٱمْتَٰزُوا۟
"But stand apart
l-yawma
ٱلْيَوْمَ
this Day
ayyuhā
أَيُّهَا
O criminals!
l-muj'rimūna
ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
O criminals!
[Then He will say], "But stand apart today, you criminals. (QS. [36] Ya-Sin: 59)

60

اَلَمْ اَعْهَدْ اِلَيْكُمْ يٰبَنِيْٓ اٰدَمَ اَنْ لَّا تَعْبُدُوا الشَّيْطٰنَۚ اِنَّهٗ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِيْنٌ ٦٠

alam
أَلَمْ
Did not
aʿhad
أَعْهَدْ
I enjoin
ilaykum
إِلَيْكُمْ
upon you
yābanī
يَٰبَنِىٓ
O Children of Adam!
ādama
ءَادَمَ
O Children of Adam!
an
أَن
That
لَّا
(do) not
taʿbudū
تَعْبُدُوا۟
worship
l-shayṭāna
ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَۖ
the Shaitaan
innahu
إِنَّهُۥ
indeed, he
lakum
لَكُمْ
(is) for you
ʿaduwwun
عَدُوٌّ
an enemy
mubīnun
مُّبِينٌ
clear
Did I not enjoin upon you, O children of Adam, that you not worship Satan – [for] indeed, he is to you a clear enemy – (QS. [36] Ya-Sin: 60)
