Al-Qur'an Surah Fatir Verse 34

Fatir [35]: 34 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

وَقَالُوا الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْٓ اَذْهَبَ عَنَّا الْحَزَنَۗ اِنَّ رَبَّنَا لَغَفُوْرٌ شَكُوْرٌۙ (فاطر : ٣٥)

waqālū
وَقَالُوا۟
And they (will) say
l-ḥamdu
ٱلْحَمْدُ
"All praises
lillahi
لِلَّهِ
(be) to Allah
alladhī
ٱلَّذِىٓ
the One Who
adhhaba
أَذْهَبَ
(has) removed
ʿannā
عَنَّا
from us
l-ḥazana
ٱلْحَزَنَۖ
the sorrow
inna
إِنَّ
Indeed
rabbanā
رَبَّنَا
our Lord
laghafūrun
لَغَفُورٌ
(is) surely Oft-Forgiving
shakūrun
شَكُورٌ
Most Appreciative

Transliteration:

Wa qaalul hamdu lillaahil lazeee azhaba 'annal hazan; inna Rabbanaa la Ghafoorun Shakoor (QS. Fāṭir:34)

English / Sahih Translation:

And they will say, "Praise to Allah, who has removed from us [all] sorrow. Indeed, our Lord is Forgiving and Appreciative – (QS. Fatir, ayah 34)

And they will say, “Praise be to Allah who has removed all sorrow from us. Surely our Lord is Most-Forgiving, Very-Appreciative,

And they will say: "All praise and gratitude are for God, Who has removed grief from us (such as we had suffered until we were admitted here). Surely Our Lord is All-Forgiving, All-Responsive (to the gratitude of His creatures),

And (there) they will say, `All true and perfect praise belongs to Allâh Who has rid us of all (our) sorrows. Surely, our Lord is Great Protector, Most Appreciating.

English Literal

And they said: "The praise/gratitude (is) to God who took away/eliminated from us the sadness/grief, that truly our Lord (is) forgiving (E) thanked."

And they will say; “All praise is to Allah Who has put away our grief; indeed Our Lord is Oft Forgiving, Most Appreciative.”

Gardens of Eternity, they shall enter; they shall be made to wear therein bracelets of gold and pearls, and their dress therein shall be silk.

And they will say: "All the praises and thanks be to Allah, Who has removed from us (all) grief. Verily, our Lord is indeed OftForgiving, Most Ready to appreciate (good deeds and to recompense).

And they will say: "All praise and thanks be to Allah, Who has removed from us (all) grief. Verily, our Lord is indeed Oft-Forgiving, Most Ready to appreciate."

They will say, "Praise be to God who has taken away all sorrow from us. Our Lord is forgiving and appreciative.

And they will say, “Praise God, who has lifted all sorrow from us. Our Lord is Most Forgiving, Most Appreciative.

Tafsir jalalayn

And they will say, `Praise be to God Who has removed, all, grief from us. Truly our Lord is Forgiving, of sins, Appreciative, of obedience,

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

وَقَالُوا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَذْهَبَ عَنَّا الْحَزَنَ

And they will say;"All the praises and thanks be to Allah, Who has removed from us (all) grief..."

which means fear of everything that is feared; it has been lifted from us and we have been relieved of all that we used to fear of the anxieties of the world and the Hereafter.

إِنَّ رَبَّنَا لَغَفُورٌ شَكُورٌ



Verily, our Lord is indeed Oft-Forgiving, Most Ready to appreciate."

Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, and others said,

"He forgives them for their major sins, and appreciates even the smallest of their good deeds.
