Al-Qur'an Surah Fatir Verse 31

Fatir [35]: 31 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

وَالَّذِيْٓ اَوْحَيْنَآ اِلَيْكَ مِنَ الْكِتٰبِ هُوَ الْحَقُّ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِعِبَادِهٖ لَخَبِيْرٌۢ بَصِيْرٌ (فاطر : ٣٥)

wa-alladhī
وَٱلَّذِىٓ
And (that) which
awḥaynā
أَوْحَيْنَآ
We have revealed
ilayka
إِلَيْكَ
to you
mina
مِنَ
of
l-kitābi
ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
the Book
huwa
هُوَ
it
l-ḥaqu
ٱلْحَقُّ
(is) the truth
muṣaddiqan
مُصَدِّقًا
confirming

لِّمَا

before it
yadayhi
يَدَيْهِۗ

Indeed
l-laha
ٱللَّهَ

بِعِبَادِهِۦ
of His slaves

لَخَبِيرٌۢ
surely, (is) All-Aware
baṣīrun
بَصِيرٌ
All-Seer

Transliteration:

Wallaeee awhainaaa ilaika minal Kitaabi huwal haqqu musaddiqal limaa baina yadayh; innal laaha bi'ibaadihee la khabeerum Baseer (QS. Fāṭir:31)

English / Sahih Translation:

And that which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], of the Book is the truth, confirming what was before it. Indeed Allah, of His servants, is Aware and Seeing. (QS. Fatir, ayah 31)

Mufti Taqi Usmani

The Book We have revealed to you is the Truth, confirming what was (revealed) before it. Surely Allah, in respect of His slaves, is All-Aware, All-Seeing.

The Book We have revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ is the truth, confirming what came before it.[[ See previous footnote. ]] Surely Allah is All-Aware, All-Seeing of His servants.

What We have revealed to you of the Book is the truth, and proves (what has been sent) before it to be true. Verily God is informed of His creatures and sees everything.

And the Book which We have divinely revealed to you – that is the Truth, confirming the Books which were before it; indeed Allah is Aware of His bondmen, All Seeing.

That which We reveal to you of the Book is the truth, confirming (the Divine origin of and the truths that are still contained by) the Revelations prior to it. Surely God is fully aware of His servants and sees (them) well.

And the perfect Book which We have revealed to you is the lasting truth (itself and contains all that is required). It confirms the truth (of the prophecies about the advent of Islam contained in the revelations) that preceded it. Verily, Allâh is All-Aware of His servants and a keen Observer (of them).

English Literal

And what We inspired/transmitted to you from The Book , it is the truth confirming to what (is) between his hands, that truly God (is) with His worshippers/slaves expert/experienced (E), seeing/knowing .

Faridul Haque

And the Book which We have divinely revealed to you – that is the Truth, confirming the Books which were before it; indeed Allah is Aware of His bondmen, All Seeing.

That He may pay them back fully their rewards and give them more out of His grace: surely He is Forgiving, Responsive (or Appreciative).

That which We have revealed to you of the Book is the truth and it confirms what was before it. Allah is Aware and sees His worshipers.

And what We have revealed to you of the Book, it is the (very) truth confirming that which was (revealed) before it. Verily, Allah is indeed All-Aware and All-Seer of His servants.

The Book which We have revealed to you is the truth confirming previous scriptures. God knows and observes His servants.

What We inspired in you, of the Book, is the truth, confirming what preceded it. God is Well-Informed of His servants, All-Seeing.

Tafsir jalalayn

And that which We have revealed to you of the Book, the Qur'n, is the truth, confirming what was [revealed] before it, in other words, [confirming] the Books that came before it. Indeed, with regard to His servants, God is truly Aware and Seeing, knowing [both their] inward and outward aspects.

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

The Qur'an is The true Book of Allah

Allah says;

وَالَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ

And what We have revealed to you -- O Muhammad,

مِنَ الْكِتَابِ

of the Book, i.e., the Qur'an ,

هُوَ الْحَقُّ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ

it is the (very) truth confirming that which was (revealed) before it.

means, of the previous books. It confirms them just as they bore witness to the coming of the Qur'an and that it would be sent down from the Lord of the worlds.

إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِعِبَادِهِ لَخَبِيرٌ بَصِيرٌ



Verily, Allah is indeed All-Aware and All-Seer of His servants.

means, He is All-Aware of them and knows who deserves to receive the blessing which He may give to him and not to others. The Prophets and the Messengers are favored above the rest of mankind, and some of the Prophets were given more than others and given higher status than others. The position given to Muhammad is higher than that of all the others, may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon them all
