وَاللّٰهُ خَلَقَكُمْ مِّنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَكُمْ اَزْوَاجًاۗ وَمَا تَحْمِلُ مِنْ اُنْثٰى وَلَا تَضَعُ اِلَّا بِعِلْمِهٖۗ وَمَا يُعَمَّرُ مِنْ مُّعَمَّرٍ وَّلَا يُنْقَصُ مِنْ عُمُرِهٖٓ اِلَّا فِيْ كِتٰبٍۗ اِنَّ ذٰلِكَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ يَسِيْرٌ ١١
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- khalaqakum
- خَلَقَكُم
- created you
- min
- مِّن
- from
- turābin
- تُرَابٍ
- dust
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- min
- مِن
- from
- nuṭ'fatin
- نُّطْفَةٍ
- a sperm-drop;
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- jaʿalakum
- جَعَلَكُمْ
- He made you
- azwājan
- أَزْوَٰجًاۚ
- mates
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- taḥmilu
- تَحْمِلُ
- conceives
- min
- مِنْ
- any
- unthā
- أُنثَىٰ
- female
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- taḍaʿu
- تَضَعُ
- gives birth
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- biʿil'mihi
- بِعِلْمِهِۦۚ
- with His knowledge
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- yuʿammaru
- يُعَمَّرُ
- is granted life
- min
- مِن
- any
- muʿammarin
- مُّعَمَّرٍ
- aged person
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yunqaṣu
- يُنقَصُ
- is lessened
- min
- مِنْ
- from
- ʿumurihi
- عُمُرِهِۦٓ
- his life
- illā
- إِلَّا
- but
- fī
- فِى
- (is) in
- kitābin
- كِتَٰبٍۚ
- a Register
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- for
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- yasīrun
- يَسِيرٌ
- (is) easy
And Allah created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop; then He made you mates. And no female conceives nor does she give birth except with His knowledge. And no aged person is granted [additional] life nor is his lifespan lessened but that it is in a register. Indeed, that for Allah is easy. (QS. [35] Fatir: 11)Tafsir
وَمَا يَسْتَوِى الْبَحْرٰنِۖ هٰذَا عَذْبٌ فُرَاتٌ سَاۤىِٕغٌ شَرَابُهٗ وَهٰذَا مِلْحٌ اُجَاجٌۗ وَمِنْ كُلٍّ تَأْكُلُوْنَ لَحْمًا طَرِيًّا وَّتَسْتَخْرِجُوْنَ حِلْيَةً تَلْبَسُوْنَهَا ۚوَتَرَى الْفُلْكَ فِيْهِ مَوَاخِرَ لِتَبْتَغُوْا مِنْ فَضْلِهٖ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُوْنَ ١٢
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- yastawī
- يَسْتَوِى
- are alike
- l-baḥrāni
- ٱلْبَحْرَانِ
- the two seas
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- This
- ʿadhbun
- عَذْبٌ
- (is) fresh
- furātun
- فُرَاتٌ
- sweet
- sāighun
- سَآئِغٌ
- pleasant
- sharābuhu
- شَرَابُهُۥ
- its drink
- wahādhā
- وَهَٰذَا
- and this
- mil'ḥun
- مِلْحٌ
- salty
- ujājun
- أُجَاجٌۖ
- (and) bitter
- wamin
- وَمِن
- And from
- kullin
- كُلٍّ
- each
- takulūna
- تَأْكُلُونَ
- you eat
- laḥman
- لَحْمًا
- meat
- ṭariyyan
- طَرِيًّا
- fresh
- watastakhrijūna
- وَتَسْتَخْرِجُونَ
- and you extract
- ḥil'yatan
- حِلْيَةً
- ornaments
- talbasūnahā
- تَلْبَسُونَهَاۖ
- you wear them
- watarā
- وَتَرَى
- and you see
- l-ful'ka
- ٱلْفُلْكَ
- the ships
- fīhi
- فِيهِ
- in it
- mawākhira
- مَوَاخِرَ
- cleaving
- litabtaghū
- لِتَبْتَغُوا۟
- so that you may seek
- min
- مِن
- of
- faḍlihi
- فَضْلِهِۦ
- His Bounty
- walaʿallakum
- وَلَعَلَّكُمْ
- and that you may
- tashkurūna
- تَشْكُرُونَ
- be grateful
And not alike are the two seas [i.e., bodies of water]. One is fresh and sweet, palatable for drinking, and one is salty and bitter. And from each you eat tender meat and extract ornaments which you wear, and you see the ships plowing through [them] that you might seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful. (QS. [35] Fatir: 12)Tafsir
يُوْلِجُ الَّيْلَ فِى النَّهَارِ وَيُوْلِجُ النَّهَارَ فِى الَّيْلِۚ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ يَّجْرِيْ لِاَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّىۗ ذٰلِكُمُ اللّٰهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَهُ الْمُلْكُۗ وَالَّذِيْنَ تَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِهٖ مَا يَمْلِكُوْنَ مِنْ قِطْمِيْرٍۗ ١٣

- He causes to enter

- ٱلَّيْلَ
- the night
- fī
- فِى
- in (to)
- l-nahāri
- ٱلنَّهَارِ
- the day
- wayūliju
- وَيُولِجُ
- and He causes to enter
- l-nahāra
- ٱلنَّهَارَ
- the day
- fī
- فِى
- in (to)
- al-layli
- ٱلَّيْلِ
- the night
- wasakhara
- وَسَخَّرَ
- and He has subjected
- l-shamsa
- ٱلشَّمْسَ
- the sun
- wal-qamara
- وَٱلْقَمَرَ
- and the moon
- kullun
- كُلٌّ
- each
- yajrī
- يَجْرِى
- running
- li-ajalin
- لِأَجَلٍ
- for a term
- musamman
- مُّسَمًّىۚ
- appointed
- dhālikumu
- ذَٰلِكُمُ
- That (is)
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- rabbukum
- رَبُّكُمْ
- your Lord
- lahu
- لَهُ
- for Him
- l-mul'ku
- ٱلْمُلْكُۚ
- (is) the Dominion
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- And those whom
- tadʿūna
- تَدْعُونَ
- you invoke
- min
- مِن
- besides Him
- dūnihi
- دُونِهِۦ
- besides Him
- mā
- مَا
- not
- yamlikūna
- يَمْلِكُونَ
- they possess
- min
- مِن
- even
- qiṭ'mīrin
- قِطْمِيرٍ
- (as much as) the membrane of a date-seed
He causes the night to enter the day, and He causes the day to enter the night and has subjected the sun and the moon – each running [its course] for a specified term. That is Allah, your Lord; to Him belongs sovereignty. And those whom you invoke other than Him do not possess [as much as] the membrane of a date seed. (QS. [35] Fatir: 13)Tafsir
اِنْ تَدْعُوْهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُوْا دُعَاۤءَكُمْۚ وَلَوْ سَمِعُوْا مَا اسْتَجَابُوْا لَكُمْۗ وَيَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ يَكْفُرُوْنَ بِشِرْكِكُمْۗ وَلَا يُنَبِّئُكَ مِثْلُ خَبِيْرٍ ࣖ ١٤
- in
- إِن
- If
- tadʿūhum
- تَدْعُوهُمْ
- you invoke them
- lā
- لَا
- not
- yasmaʿū
- يَسْمَعُوا۟
- they hear
- duʿāakum
- دُعَآءَكُمْ
- your call;
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- and if
- samiʿū
- سَمِعُوا۟
- they heard
- mā
- مَا
- not
- is'tajābū
- ٱسْتَجَابُوا۟
- they (would) respond
- lakum
- لَكُمْۖ
- to you
- wayawma
- وَيَوْمَ
- And (on the) Day
- l-qiyāmati
- ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
- (of) the Resurrection
- yakfurūna
- يَكْفُرُونَ
- they will deny
- bishir'kikum
- بِشِرْكِكُمْۚ
- your association
- walā
- وَلَا
- And none
- yunabbi-uka
- يُنَبِّئُكَ
- can inform you
- mith'lu
- مِثْلُ
- like
- khabīrin
- خَبِيرٍ
- (the) All-Aware
If you invoke them, they do not hear your supplication; and if they heard, they would not respond to you. And on the Day of Resurrection they will deny your association. And none can inform you like [one] Aware [of all matters]. (QS. [35] Fatir: 14)Tafsir
۞ يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اَنْتُمُ الْفُقَرَاۤءُ اِلَى اللّٰهِ ۚوَاللّٰهُ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيْدُ ١٥
- yāayyuhā
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- O
- l-nāsu
- ٱلنَّاسُ
- mankind!
- antumu
- أَنتُمُ
- You
- l-fuqarāu
- ٱلْفُقَرَآءُ
- (are) those in need
- ilā
- إِلَى
- of
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۖ
- Allah
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- while Allah
- huwa
- هُوَ
- He
- l-ghaniyu
- ٱلْغَنِىُّ
- (is) Free of need
- l-ḥamīdu
- ٱلْحَمِيدُ
- the Praiseworthy
O mankind, you are those in need of Allah, while Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy. (QS. [35] Fatir: 15)Tafsir
اِنْ يَّشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَأْتِ بِخَلْقٍ جَدِيْدٍۚ ١٦
- in
- إِن
- If
- yasha
- يَشَأْ
- He wills
- yudh'hib'kum
- يُذْهِبْكُمْ
- He (can) do away with you
- wayati
- وَيَأْتِ
- and bring
- bikhalqin
- بِخَلْقٍ
- in a creation
- jadīdin
- جَدِيدٍ
- new
If He wills, He can do away with you and bring forth a new creation. (QS. [35] Fatir: 16)Tafsir
وَمَا ذٰلِكَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ بِعَزِيْزٍ ١٧
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- (is) on
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- biʿazīzin
- بِعَزِيزٍ
- difficult
And that is for Allah not difficult. (QS. [35] Fatir: 17)Tafsir
وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِّزْرَ اُخْرٰى ۗوَاِنْ تَدْعُ مُثْقَلَةٌ اِلٰى حِمْلِهَا لَا يُحْمَلْ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ وَّلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبٰىۗ اِنَّمَا تُنْذِرُ الَّذِيْنَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَيْبِ وَاَقَامُوا الصَّلٰوةَ ۗوَمَنْ تَزَكّٰى فَاِنَّمَا يَتَزَكّٰى لِنَفْسِهٖ ۗوَاِلَى اللّٰهِ الْمَصِيْرُ ١٨
- walā
- وَلَا
- And not
- taziru
- تَزِرُ
- will bear
- wāziratun
- وَازِرَةٌ
- bearer of burdens
- wiz'ra
- وِزْرَ
- burden
- ukh'rā
- أُخْرَىٰۚ
- (of) another
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- And if
- tadʿu
- تَدْعُ
- calls
- muth'qalatun
- مُثْقَلَةٌ
- a heavily laden
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- ḥim'lihā
- حِمْلِهَا
- (carry) its load
- lā
- لَا
- not
- yuḥ'mal
- يُحْمَلْ
- will be carried
- min'hu
- مِنْهُ
- of it
- shayon
- شَىْءٌ
- anything
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- even if
- kāna
- كَانَ
- he be
- dhā
- ذَا
- near of kin
- qur'bā
- قُرْبَىٰٓۗ
- near of kin
- innamā
- إِنَّمَا
- Only
- tundhiru
- تُنذِرُ
- you can warn
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- yakhshawna
- يَخْشَوْنَ
- fear
- rabbahum
- رَبَّهُم
- their Lord
- bil-ghaybi
- بِٱلْغَيْبِ
- unseen
- wa-aqāmū
- وَأَقَامُوا۟
- and establish
- l-ṣalata
- ٱلصَّلَوٰةَۚ
- the prayer
- waman
- وَمَن
- And whoever
- tazakkā
- تَزَكَّىٰ
- purifies himself
- fa-innamā
- فَإِنَّمَا
- then only
- yatazakkā
- يَتَزَكَّىٰ
- he purifies
- linafsihi
- لِنَفْسِهِۦۚ
- for his own self
- wa-ilā
- وَإِلَى
- And to
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- l-maṣīru
- ٱلْمَصِيرُ
- (is) the destination
And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden soul calls [another] to [carry some of] its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he should be a close relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and have established prayer. And whoever purifies himself only purifies himself for [the benefit of] his soul. And to Allah is the [final] destination. (QS. [35] Fatir: 18)Tafsir
وَمَا يَسْتَوِى الْاَعْمٰى وَالْبَصِيْرُ ۙ ١٩
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- yastawī
- يَسْتَوِى
- equal
- l-aʿmā
- ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ
- (are) the blind
- wal-baṣīru
- وَٱلْبَصِيرُ
- and the seeing
Not equal are the blind and the seeing, (QS. [35] Fatir: 19)Tafsir
وَلَا الظُّلُمٰتُ وَلَا النُّوْرُۙ ٢٠
- walā
- وَلَا
- And not
- l-ẓulumātu
- ٱلظُّلُمَٰتُ
- the darkness[es]
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- l-nūru
- ٱلنُّورُ
- [the] light
Nor are the darknesses and the light, (QS. [35] Fatir: 20)Tafsir
