Al-Qur'an Surah Saba Verse 47
Saba [34]: 47 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
قُلْ مَا سَاَلْتُكُمْ مِّنْ اَجْرٍ فَهُوَ لَكُمْۗ اِنْ اَجْرِيَ اِلَّا عَلَى اللّٰهِ ۚوَهُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيْدٌ (سبإ : ٣٤)

Transliteration:
Qul maa sa-altukum min ajrin fahuwa lakum in ajriya illaa 'alal laahi wa Huwa 'alaa kullin shai-in Shaheed(QS. Sabaʾ:47)
English / Sahih Translation:
Say, "Whatever payment I might have asked of you – it is yours. My payment is only from Allah, and He is, over all things, Witness." (QS. Saba, ayah 47)

Say, “If I had ever claimed any reward from you, then it is yours. My reward is with none but Allah. And He is witness over every thing.”

Tafsir jalalayn
Say, to them; `I have not asked you, in return for [my] warning and delivering the Message [to you], any reward, since it is for [the benefit of] you, in other words, I do not ask you for any reward in return for this. Indeed my reward lies only with God, and He is Witness over all things', observing [them all], knowing my truthfulness.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
I do not ask for any Reward for conveying the Message
Allah commands His Messenger to;
قُلْ
Say,
Allah commands His Messenger to say to the idolators;
مَا سَأَلْتُكُم مِّنْ أَجْرٍ فَهُوَ لَكُمْ
Whatever wage I might have asked of you is yours.
meaning, `I do not want anything for conveying the Message of Allah to you, advising you and telling you to worship Allah.'
إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلاَّ عَلَى اللَّهِ
My wage is from Allah only,
means, rather I will seek the reward for that with Allah.
وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ
and He is a Witness over all things.
means, He knows all things, and He knows everything about me and the manner in which I am conveying the Message to you, and He knows all about you.
قُلْ إِنَّ رَبِّي يَقْذِفُ بِالْحَقِّ عَلَّمُ الْغُيُوبِ
