(Sheba)

bismillaahirrahmaanirrahiim
1

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ لَهٗ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِى الْاَرْضِ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ فِى الْاٰخِرَةِۗ وَهُوَ الْحَكِيْمُ الْخَبِيْرُ ١

al-ḥamdu
ٱلْحَمْدُ
All praises
lillahi
لِلَّهِ
(be) to Allah
alladhī
ٱلَّذِى
the One to Whom belongs
lahu
لَهُۥ
the One to Whom belongs
مَا
whatever
فِى
(is) in
l-samāwāti
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
wamā
وَمَا
and whatever
فِى
(is) in
l-arḍi
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the earth
walahu
وَلَهُ
and for Him
l-ḥamdu
ٱلْحَمْدُ
(are) all praises
فِى
in
l-ākhirati
ٱلْءَاخِرَةِۚ
the Hereafter
wahuwa
وَهُوَ
And He
l-ḥakīmu
ٱلْحَكِيمُ
(is) the All-Wise
l-khabīru
ٱلْخَبِيرُ
the All-Aware
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and to Him belongs [all] praise in the Hereafter. And He is the Wise, the Aware. (QS. [34] Saba: 1)
Tafsir
2

يَعْلَمُ مَا يَلِجُ فِى الْاَرْضِ وَمَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا وَمَا يَنْزِلُ مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ وَمَا يَعْرُجُ فِيْهَاۗ وَهُوَ الرَّحِيْمُ الْغَفُوْرُ ٢

yaʿlamu
يَعْلَمُ
He knows
مَا
what
yaliju
يَلِجُ
penetrates
فِى
in
l-arḍi
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the earth
wamā
وَمَا
and what
yakhruju
يَخْرُجُ
comes out
min'hā
مِنْهَا
from it
wamā
وَمَا
and what
yanzilu
يَنزِلُ
descends
mina
مِنَ
from
l-samāi
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
the heaven
wamā
وَمَا
and what
yaʿruju
يَعْرُجُ
ascends
fīhā
فِيهَاۚ
therein
wahuwa
وَهُوَ
And He
l-raḥīmu
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
(is) the Most Merciful
l-ghafūru
ٱلْغَفُورُ
the Oft-Forgiving
He knows what penetrates into the earth and what emerges from it and what descends from the heaven and what ascends therein. And He is the Merciful, the Forgiving. (QS. [34] Saba: 2)
Tafsir
3

وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لَا تَأْتِيْنَا السَّاعَةُ ۗقُلْ بَلٰى وَرَبِّيْ لَتَأْتِيَنَّكُمْۙ عٰلِمِ الْغَيْبِۙ لَا يَعْزُبُ عَنْهُ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَلَا فِى الْاَرْضِ وَلَآ اَصْغَرُ مِنْ ذٰلِكَ وَلَآ اَكْبَرُ اِلَّا فِيْ كِتٰبٍ مُّبِيْنٍۙ ٣

waqāla
وَقَالَ
But say
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
kafarū
كَفَرُوا۟
disbelieve
لَا
"Not
tatīnā
تَأْتِينَا
will come to us
l-sāʿatu
ٱلسَّاعَةُۖ
the Hour"
qul
قُلْ
Say
balā
بَلَىٰ
"Nay
warabbī
وَرَبِّى
by my Lord
latatiyannakum
لَتَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ
surely it will come to you
ʿālimi
عَٰلِمِ
(He is the) Knower
l-ghaybi
ٱلْغَيْبِۖ
(of) the unseen"
لَا
Not
yaʿzubu
يَعْزُبُ
escapes
ʿanhu
عَنْهُ
from Him
mith'qālu
مِثْقَالُ
(the) weight
dharratin
ذَرَّةٍ
(of) an atom
فِى
in
l-samāwāti
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
walā
وَلَا
and not
فِى
in
l-arḍi
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the earth
walā
وَلَآ
and not
aṣgharu
أَصْغَرُ
smaller
min
مِن
than
dhālika
ذَٰلِكَ
that
walā
وَلَآ
and not
akbaru
أَكْبَرُ
greater
illā
إِلَّا
but
فِى
(is) in
kitābin
كِتَٰبٍ
a Record
mubīnin
مُّبِينٍ
Clear
But those who disbelieve say, "The Hour will not come to us." Say, "Yes, by my Lord, it will surely come to you. [Allah is] the Knower of the unseen." Not absent from Him is an atom's weight within the heavens or within the earth or [what is] smaller than that or greater, except that it is in a clear register – (QS. [34] Saba: 3)
Tafsir
4

لِّيَجْزِيَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِۗ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُمْ مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَّرِزْقٌ كَرِيْمٌ ٤

liyajziya
لِّيَجْزِىَ
That He may reward
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
āmanū
ءَامَنُوا۟
believe
waʿamilū
وَعَمِلُوا۟
and do
l-ṣāliḥāti
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِۚ
righteous deeds
ulāika
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
Those -
lahum
لَهُم
for them
maghfiratun
مَّغْفِرَةٌ
(will be) forgiveness
wariz'qun
وَرِزْقٌ
and a provision
karīmun
كَرِيمٌ
noble
That He may reward those who believe and do righteous deeds. Those will have forgiveness and noble provision. (QS. [34] Saba: 4)
Tafsir
5

وَالَّذِيْنَ سَعَوْ فِيْٓ اٰيٰتِنَا مُعٰجِزِيْنَ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مِّنْ رِّجْزٍ اَلِيْمٌ ٥

wa-alladhīna
وَٱلَّذِينَ
But those who
saʿaw
سَعَوْ
strive
فِىٓ
against
āyātinā
ءَايَٰتِنَا
Our Verses
muʿājizīna
مُعَٰجِزِينَ
(to) cause failure -
ulāika
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
those -
lahum
لَهُمْ
for them
ʿadhābun
عَذَابٌ
(is) a punishment
min
مِّن
of
rij'zin
رِّجْزٍ
foul nature
alīmun
أَلِيمٌ
painful
But those who strive against Our verses [seeking] to cause failure – for them will be a painful punishment of foul nature. (QS. [34] Saba: 5)
Tafsir
6

وَيَرَى الَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْعِلْمَ الَّذِيْٓ اُنْزِلَ اِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَّبِّكَ هُوَ الْحَقَّۙ وَيَهْدِيْٓ اِلٰى صِرَاطِ الْعَزِيْزِ الْحَمِيْدِ ٦

wayarā
وَيَرَى
And see
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
ūtū
أُوتُوا۟
have been given
l-ʿil'ma
ٱلْعِلْمَ
the knowledge
alladhī
ٱلَّذِىٓ
(that) what
unzila
أُنزِلَ
is revealed
ilayka
إِلَيْكَ
to you
min
مِن
from
rabbika
رَّبِّكَ
your Lord
huwa
هُوَ
[it]
l-ḥaqa
ٱلْحَقَّ
(is) the Truth
wayahdī
وَيَهْدِىٓ
and it guides
ilā
إِلَىٰ
to
ṣirāṭi
صِرَٰطِ
(the) Path
l-ʿazīzi
ٱلْعَزِيزِ
(of) the All-Mighty
l-ḥamīdi
ٱلْحَمِيدِ
the Praiseworthy
And those who have been given knowledge see that what is revealed to you from your Lord is the truth, and it guides to the path of the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy. (QS. [34] Saba: 6)
Tafsir
7

وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا هَلْ نَدُلُّكُمْ عَلٰى رَجُلٍ يُّنَبِّئُكُمْ اِذَا مُزِّقْتُمْ كُلَّ مُمَزَّقٍۙ اِنَّكُمْ لَفِيْ خَلْقٍ جَدِيْدٍۚ ٧

waqāla
وَقَالَ
But say
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
kafarū
كَفَرُوا۟
disbelieve
hal
هَلْ
"Shall
nadullukum
نَدُلُّكُمْ
we direct you
ʿalā
عَلَىٰ
to
rajulin
رَجُلٍ
a man
yunabbi-ukum
يُنَبِّئُكُمْ
who informs you
idhā
إِذَا
when
muzziq'tum
مُزِّقْتُمْ
you have disintegrated
kulla
كُلَّ
(in) total
mumazzaqin
مُمَزَّقٍ
disintegration
innakum
إِنَّكُمْ
indeed you
lafī
لَفِى
surely (will be) in
khalqin
خَلْقٍ
a creation
jadīdin
جَدِيدٍ
new?
But those who disbelieve say, "Shall we direct you to a man who will inform you [that] when you have disintegrated in complete disintegration, you will [then] be [recreated] in a new creation? (QS. [34] Saba: 7)
Tafsir
8

اَفْتَرٰى عَلَى اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا اَمْ بِهٖ جِنَّةٌ ۗبَلِ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ فِى الْعَذَابِ وَالضَّلٰلِ الْبَعِيْدِ ٨

aftarā
أَفْتَرَىٰ
Has he invented
ʿalā
عَلَى
about
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
kadhiban
كَذِبًا
a lie
am
أَم
or
bihi
بِهِۦ
in him
jinnatun
جِنَّةٌۢۗ
(is) madness?"
bali
بَلِ
Nay
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
لَا
(do) not
yu'minūna
يُؤْمِنُونَ
believe
bil-ākhirati
بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
in the Hereafter
فِى
(will be) in
l-ʿadhābi
ٱلْعَذَابِ
the punishment
wal-ḍalāli
وَٱلضَّلَٰلِ
and error
l-baʿīdi
ٱلْبَعِيدِ
far
Has he invented about Allah a lie or is there in him madness?" Rather, they who do not believe in the Hereafter will be in the punishment and [are in] extreme error. (QS. [34] Saba: 8)
Tafsir
9

اَفَلَمْ يَرَوْا اِلٰى مَا بَيْنَ اَيْدِيْهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ مِّنَ السَّمَاۤءِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ اِنْ نَّشَأْ نَخْسِفْ بِهِمُ الْاَرْضَ اَوْ نُسْقِطْ عَلَيْهِمْ كِسَفًا مِّنَ السَّمَاۤءِۗ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً لِّكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُّنِيْبٍ ࣖ ٩

afalam
أَفَلَمْ
Then, do not
yaraw
يَرَوْا۟
they see
ilā
إِلَىٰ
towards
مَا
what
bayna
بَيْنَ
(is) before them
aydīhim
أَيْدِيهِمْ
(is) before them
wamā
وَمَا
and what
khalfahum
خَلْفَهُم
(is) behind them
mina
مِّنَ
of
l-samāi
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
the heaven
wal-arḍi
وَٱلْأَرْضِۚ
and the earth?
in
إِن
If
nasha
نَّشَأْ
We will
nakhsif
نَخْسِفْ
We (could) cause to swallow them
bihimu
بِهِمُ
We (could) cause to swallow them
l-arḍa
ٱلْأَرْضَ
the earth
aw
أَوْ
or
nus'qiṭ
نُسْقِطْ
cause to fall
ʿalayhim
عَلَيْهِمْ
upon them
kisafan
كِسَفًا
fragments
mina
مِّنَ
from
l-samāi
ٱلسَّمَآءِۚ
the sky
inna
إِنَّ
Indeed
فِى
in
dhālika
ذَٰلِكَ
that
laāyatan
لَءَايَةً
surely, is a Sign
likulli
لِّكُلِّ
for every
ʿabdin
عَبْدٍ
slave
munībin
مُّنِيبٍ
who turns (to Allah)
Then, do they not look at what is before them and what is behind them of the heaven and earth? If We should will, We could cause the earth to swallow them or [could] let fall upon them fragments from the sky. Indeed in that is a sign for every servant turning back [to Allah]. (QS. [34] Saba: 9)
Tafsir
10

۞ وَلَقَدْ اٰتَيْنَا دَاوٗدَ مِنَّا فَضْلًاۗ يٰجِبَالُ اَوِّبِيْ مَعَهٗ وَالطَّيْرَ ۚوَاَلَنَّا لَهُ الْحَدِيْدَۙ ١٠

walaqad
وَلَقَدْ
And certainly
ātaynā
ءَاتَيْنَا
We gave
dāwūda
دَاوُۥدَ
Dawood
minnā
مِنَّا
from Us
faḍlan
فَضْلًاۖ
Bounty
yājibālu
يَٰجِبَالُ
"O mountains!
awwibī
أَوِّبِى
Repeat praises
maʿahu
مَعَهُۥ
with him
wal-ṭayra
وَٱلطَّيْرَۖ
and the birds"
wa-alannā
وَأَلَنَّا
And We made pliable
lahu
لَهُ
for him
l-ḥadīda
ٱلْحَدِيدَ
[the] iron
And We certainly gave David from Us bounty. [We said], "O mountains, repeat [Our] praises with him, and the birds [as well]." And We made pliable for him iron, (QS. [34] Saba: 10)
