Al-Qur'an Surah Luqman Verse 30

That is because Allah is the only Real One and what they invoke other than Him is false and Allah is the High, the Great.

That (is so) because God is He Who is the Absolute Truth and Ever-Constant (Whose decrees and deeds are all true and in absolute accord with one another), and all that they invoke (as deities) apart from Him is sheer falsehood. And because God is He Who is the All-Exalted, the All-Great.

All this is (going on) because Allâh alone is the Ultimate Truth and because all that they call upon beside Him are false (gods) and because Allâh alone is the Most Exalted, the Incomparably Great.

English Literal

That (is) with that God, He (is) the truth , and that (E) what they call from other than Him, (is) the falsehood, and that (E) God, He is the high/elevated , the great/exalted/revered .

This is because only Allah is the Truth, and all that they worship besides Him are falsehood, and because only Allah is the Supreme, the Great.

Have you not seen that Allah joins the night to the day, and joins the day to the night, and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running unto an appointed time? And that Allah is well informed of what you do?

Tafsir jalalayn

That, which is mentioned, is [so] because God, He is the Truth, the established [truth], and whatever they call on (read yad`na; or tad`na, `you call on') whatever they worship, besides Him is, evanescent, falsehood, and because God is the High [Exalted], above His creation by virtue of [His] subjugation [of them], the Great, the Mighty.

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ وَأَنَّ مَا يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ الْبَاطِلُ

That is because Allah, He is the Truth, and that which they invoke besides Him is falsehood;

means, He shows you His Signs so that you may know from them that He is the Truth, i.e., He truly exists and is truly divine, and that all else besides Him is falsehood. He has no need of anything else, but everything else is dependent on Him, because everything in heaven and on earth is created by Him and is enslaved by Him; none of them could move even an atom's weight except with His permission. If all the people of heaven and earth were to come together to create a fly, they would not be able to do so.

Allah says;

وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيرُ



and that Allah, He is the Most High, the Most Great.

meaning, He is the Most High and there is none higher than Him, and He is the Most Great Who is greater than everything. Everything is subjugated and insignificant in comparison to Him
