Al-Qur'an Surah Luqman Verse 11

Luqman [31]: 11 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

هٰذَا خَلْقُ اللّٰهِ فَاَرُوْنِيْ مَاذَا خَلَقَ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِهٖۗ بَلِ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ فِيْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيْنٍ ࣖ (لقمان : ٣١)

(of) Allah
fa-arūnī
فَأَرُونِى
So show Me

بَلِ
Nay
l-ẓālimūna
ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
the wrongdoers
فِى
(are) in
ḍalālin
ضَلَٰلٍ
error
mubīnin
مُّبِينٍ
clear

Transliteration:

Haazaa khalqul laahi fa aroonee maazaa khalaqal lazeena min doonih; baliz zaalimoona fee dalalim Mubeen (QS. Luq̈mān:11)

English / Sahih Translation:

This is the creation of Allah. So show Me what those other than Him have created. Rather, the wrongdoers are in clear error. (QS. Luqman, ayah 11)

Mufti Taqi Usmani

This is the creation of Allah. Now, show me what is created by those others, besides Him. Rather, the transgressors are in open error.

This is Allah’s creation. Now show Me what those ˹gods˺ other than Him have created. In fact, the wrongdoers are clearly astray.

Such is the Creation of Allah; now show Me what is there that others besides Him have created; nay, but the Transgressors are in manifest error.

Such is Allah's creation. Show me, then, what any others, apart from Allah, have created. Nay, the fact is that the wrong-doers are in manifest error.

Such is God's creation. Show me now what those (they worship) beside Him have created. Surely the evil-doers are in clear error.

Allah has created this – therefore show me what has been created by those other than Him; in fact the unjust are in open error.

This is the creation of Allah. Now show Me what others besides Him have created. Indeed, the wrongdoers are in manifest error!

This is God’s creation; now show Me what is there that others besides Him have created. No indeed, but the wrongdoers (who deny God or associate partners with Him) are lost in obvious error.

So this is Allâh´s creation! Now, you show me the things that those (whom you worship as gods) other than Allâh, have created. Nay, but the unjust (who do not believe in One God) are (engrossed) in obvious error.

English Literal

That (is) God`s creation, so show Me/make Me understand what those from other than Him created, but the unjust/oppressive (are) in clear/evident misguidance.

Allah has created this – therefore show me what has been created by those other than Him; in fact the unjust are in open error.

He created the heavens without supports that you can see, and He placed upon the earth firm mountains lest it should shake with you; and He dispersed therein all kinds of beasts; and We send down from the heavens water, and We caused plants of every noble kind to grow therein.

This is the creation of Allah. So show Me that which those (whom you worship), besides Him have created. Nay, the Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers and those who do not believe in the Oneness of Allah) are in plain error.

To abide therein. A promise of Allah in truth! And He is the Mighty, the Wise.

This is Allah's creation, but show Me what those besides Him have created. Nay, the unjust are in manifest error

Such is the creation of Allah; now show me what, other than Him, created! No, the harmdoers are in clear error.

This is the creation of Allah. So, show Me that which those besides Him have created. Nay, the wrongdoers are in plain error.

this is God's creation. Show me then what those besides Him have created! The wrongdoers are in manifest error.

Talal Itani

Such is God’s creation. Now show me what those besides Him have created. In fact, the wicked are in obvious error.

Tafsir jalalayn

This is God's creation, in other words, what is created by Him. Now show me, inform me, O people of Mecca, what those [you worship] besides Him, [those] other than Him, have created, namely, your gods, so that you have associated them with Him, exalted be He (m is an interrogative of denial and a subject; dh has the significance of alladh, and what follows it of the relative clause is the predicate [of the subject m]; arn glosses `the action', and what follows it stands in place of two direct objects). Nay (bal, is for transition) but the evildoers are in manifest error, [error] that is evident because of their ascribing partners to God; and you are like them.

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

هَذَا خَلْقُ اللَّهِ

This is the creation of Allah.

means, all that Allah has mentioned here of the creation of the heavens and earth and everything in between stems from His power of creation and control alone, and He has no partner or associate in that,

Allah says;

فَأَرُونِي مَاذَا خَلَقَ الَّذِينَ مِن دُونِهِ

So, show Me that which those besides Him have created.

those idols and rivals whom you worship and call upon.

بَلِ الظَّالِمُونَ

Nay, the wrongdoers,

means the idolators who associate others in worship with Allah.

فِي ضَلَلٍ

in error,

means, they are ignorant and blind.

مُّبِينٍ



plain,

means, it is clear and obvious, and not at all hidden
