ظَهَرَ الْفَسَادُ فِى الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ اَيْدِى النَّاسِ لِيُذِيْقَهُمْ بَعْضَ الَّذِيْ عَمِلُوْا لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُوْنَ ٤١
- ẓahara
- ظَهَرَ
- Has appeared
- l-fasādu
- ٱلْفَسَادُ
- the corruption
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-bari
- ٱلْبَرِّ
- the land
- wal-baḥri
- وَٱلْبَحْرِ
- and the sea
- bimā
- بِمَا
- for what
- kasabat
- كَسَبَتْ
- have earned
- aydī
- أَيْدِى
- (the) hands
- l-nāsi
- ٱلنَّاسِ
- (of) people
- liyudhīqahum
- لِيُذِيقَهُم
- so that He may let them taste
- baʿḍa
- بَعْضَ
- a part
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- (of) that which
- ʿamilū
- عَمِلُوا۟
- they have done
- laʿallahum
- لَعَلَّهُمْ
- so that they may
- yarjiʿūna
- يَرْجِعُونَ
- return
Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He [i.e., Allah] may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness]. (QS. [30] Ar-Rum: 41)Tafsir
قُلْ سِيْرُوْا فِى الْاَرْضِ فَانْظُرُوْا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلُۗ كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُّشْرِكِيْنَ ٤٢
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- sīrū
- سِيرُوا۟
- "Travel
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- fa-unẓurū
- فَٱنظُرُوا۟
- and see
- kayfa
- كَيْفَ
- how
- kāna
- كَانَ
- was
- ʿāqibatu
- عَٰقِبَةُ
- (the) end
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (of) those who
- min
- مِن
- (were) before
- qablu
- قَبْلُۚ
- (were) before
- kāna
- كَانَ
- Most of them were
- aktharuhum
- أَكْثَرُهُم
- Most of them were
- mush'rikīna
- مُّشْرِكِينَ
- polytheists"
Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of those before. Most of them were associators [of others with Allah]. (QS. [30] Ar-Rum: 42)Tafsir
فَاَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّيْنِ الْقَيِّمِ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ يَّأْتِيَ يَوْمٌ لَّا مَرَدَّ لَهٗ مِنَ اللّٰهِ يَوْمَىِٕذٍ يَّصَّدَّعُوْنَ ٤٣
- fa-aqim
- فَأَقِمْ
- So set
- wajhaka
- وَجْهَكَ
- your face
- lilddīni
- لِلدِّينِ
- to the religion
- l-qayimi
- ٱلْقَيِّمِ
- right
- min
- مِن
- before
- qabli
- قَبْلِ
- before
- an
- أَن
- [that]
- yatiya
- يَأْتِىَ
- comes
- yawmun
- يَوْمٌ
- a Day
- lā
- لَّا
- not
- maradda
- مَرَدَّ
- (can be) averted
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- [it]
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۖ
- Allah
- yawma-idhin
- يَوْمَئِذٍ
- That Day
- yaṣṣaddaʿūna
- يَصَّدَّعُونَ
- they will be divided
So direct your face [i.e., self] toward the correct religion before a Day comes from Allah of which there is no repelling. That Day, they will be divided. (QS. [30] Ar-Rum: 43)Tafsir
مَنْ كَفَرَ فَعَلَيْهِ كُفْرُهٗۚ وَمَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلِاَنْفُسِهِمْ يَمْهَدُوْنَۙ ٤٤
- man
- مَن
- Whoever
- kafara
- كَفَرَ
- disbelieves
- faʿalayhi
- فَعَلَيْهِ
- then against him
- kuf'ruhu
- كُفْرُهُۥۖ
- (is) his disbelief
- waman
- وَمَنْ
- And whoever
- ʿamila
- عَمِلَ
- does
- ṣāliḥan
- صَٰلِحًا
- righteousness
- fali-anfusihim
- فَلِأَنفُسِهِمْ
- then for themselves
- yamhadūna
- يَمْهَدُونَ
- they are preparing
Whoever disbelieves – upon him is [the consequence of] his disbelief. And whoever does righteousness – they are for themselves preparing, (QS. [30] Ar-Rum: 44)Tafsir
لِيَجْزِيَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ مِنْ فَضْلِهٖۗ اِنَّهٗ لَا يُحِبُّ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ ٤٥
- liyajziya
- لِيَجْزِىَ
- That He may reward
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe
- waʿamilū
- وَعَمِلُوا۟
- and do
- l-ṣāliḥāti
- ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
- righteous deeds
- min
- مِن
- (out) of
- faḍlihi
- فَضْلِهِۦٓۚ
- His Bounty
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed He
- lā
- لَا
- (does) not
- yuḥibbu
- يُحِبُّ
- like
- l-kāfirīna
- ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
- the disbelievers
That He may reward those who have believed and done righteous deeds out of His bounty. Indeed, He does not like the disbelievers. (QS. [30] Ar-Rum: 45)Tafsir
وَمِنْ اٰيٰتِهٖٓ اَنْ يُّرْسِلَ الرِّيٰحَ مُبَشِّرٰتٍ وَّلِيُذِيْقَكُمْ مِّنْ رَّحْمَتِهٖ وَلِتَجْرِيَ الْفُلْكُ بِاَمْرِهٖ وَلِتَبْتَغُوْا مِنْ فَضْلِهٖ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُوْنَ ٤٦
- wamin
- وَمِنْ
- And among
- āyātihi
- ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ
- His Signs
- an
- أَن
- (is) that
- yur'sila
- يُرْسِلَ
- He sends
- l-riyāḥa
- ٱلرِّيَاحَ
- the winds
- mubashirātin
- مُبَشِّرَٰتٍ
- (as) bearers of glad tidings
- waliyudhīqakum
- وَلِيُذِيقَكُم
- and to let you taste
- min
- مِّن
- of
- raḥmatihi
- رَّحْمَتِهِۦ
- His Mercy
- walitajriya
- وَلِتَجْرِىَ
- and that may sail
- l-ful'ku
- ٱلْفُلْكُ
- the ships
- bi-amrihi
- بِأَمْرِهِۦ
- at His Command
- walitabtaghū
- وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟
- and that you may seek
- min
- مِن
- of
- faḍlihi
- فَضْلِهِۦ
- His Bounty
- walaʿallakum
- وَلَعَلَّكُمْ
- and that you may
- tashkurūna
- تَشْكُرُونَ
- be grateful
And of His signs is that He sends the winds as bringers of good tidings and to let you taste His mercy [i.e., rain] and so the ships may sail at His command and so you may seek of His bounty, and perhaps you will be grateful. (QS. [30] Ar-Rum: 46)Tafsir
وَلَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ رُسُلًا اِلٰى قَوْمِهِمْ فَجَاۤءُوْهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِ فَانْتَقَمْنَا مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ اَجْرَمُوْاۗ وَكَانَ حَقًّاۖ عَلَيْنَا نَصْرُ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ ٤٧
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- And verily
- arsalnā
- أَرْسَلْنَا
- We sent
- min
- مِن
- before you
- qablika
- قَبْلِكَ
- before you
- rusulan
- رُسُلًا
- Messengers
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- qawmihim
- قَوْمِهِمْ
- their people
- fajāūhum
- فَجَآءُوهُم
- and they came to them
- bil-bayināti
- بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ
- with clear proofs
- fa-intaqamnā
- فَٱنتَقَمْنَا
- then We took retribution
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- ajramū
- أَجْرَمُوا۟ۖ
- committed crimes
- wakāna
- وَكَانَ
- And it was
- ḥaqqan
- حَقًّا
- incumbent
- ʿalaynā
- عَلَيْنَا
- upon Us
- naṣru
- نَصْرُ
- (to) help
- l-mu'minīna
- ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- the believers
And We have already sent messengers before you to their peoples, and they came to them with clear evidences; then We took retribution from those who committed crimes, and incumbent upon Us was support of the believers. (QS. [30] Ar-Rum: 47)Tafsir
اَللّٰهُ الَّذِيْ يُرْسِلُ الرِّيٰحَ فَتُثِيْرُ سَحَابًا فَيَبْسُطُهٗ فِى السَّمَاۤءِ كَيْفَ يَشَاۤءُ وَيَجْعَلُهٗ كِسَفًا فَتَرَى الْوَدْقَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ خِلٰلِهٖۚ فَاِذَآ اَصَابَ بِهٖ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهٖٓ اِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُوْنَۚ ٤٨
- al-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- (is) the One Who
- yur'silu
- يُرْسِلُ
- sends
- l-riyāḥa
- ٱلرِّيَٰحَ
- the winds
- fatuthīru
- فَتُثِيرُ
- so they raise
- saḥāban
- سَحَابًا
- (the) clouds
- fayabsuṭuhu
- فَيَبْسُطُهُۥ
- then He spreads them
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-samāi
- ٱلسَّمَآءِ
- the sky
- kayfa
- كَيْفَ
- how
- yashāu
- يَشَآءُ
- He wills
- wayajʿaluhu
- وَيَجْعَلُهُۥ
- and He makes them
- kisafan
- كِسَفًا
- fragments
- fatarā
- فَتَرَى
- so you see
- l-wadqa
- ٱلْوَدْقَ
- the rain
- yakhruju
- يَخْرُجُ
- coming forth
- min
- مِنْ
- from
- khilālihi
- خِلَٰلِهِۦۖ
- their midst
- fa-idhā
- فَإِذَآ
- Then when
- aṣāba
- أَصَابَ
- He causes it to fall on
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- He causes it to fall on
- man
- مَن
- whom
- yashāu
- يَشَآءُ
- He wills
- min
- مِنْ
- of
- ʿibādihi
- عِبَادِهِۦٓ
- His slaves
- idhā
- إِذَا
- behold!
- hum
- هُمْ
- They
- yastabshirūna
- يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ
- rejoice
It is Allah who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds and spread them in the sky however He wills, and He makes them fragments so you see the rain emerge from within them. And when He causes it to fall upon whom He wills of His servants, immediately they rejoice (QS. [30] Ar-Rum: 48)Tafsir
وَاِنْ كَانُوْا مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ يُّنَزَّلَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِّنْ قَبْلِهٖ لَمُبْلِسِيْنَۚ ٤٩
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- And certainly
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they were
- min
- مِن
- before
- qabli
- قَبْلِ
- before
- an
- أَن
- [that]
- yunazzala
- يُنَزَّلَ
- it was sent down
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِم
- upon them
- min
- مِّن
- [before it]
- qablihi
- قَبْلِهِۦ
- [before it]
- lamub'lisīna
- لَمُبْلِسِينَ
- surely in despair
Although they were, before it was sent down upon them – before that, in despair. (QS. [30] Ar-Rum: 49)Tafsir
فَانْظُرْ اِلٰٓى اٰثٰرِ رَحْمَتِ اللّٰهِ كَيْفَ يُحْيِ الْاَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَاۗ اِنَّ ذٰلِكَ لَمُحْيِ الْمَوْتٰىۚ وَهُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ ٥٠
- fa-unẓur
- فَٱنظُرْ
- So look
- ilā
- إِلَىٰٓ
- at
- āthāri
- ءَاثَٰرِ
- (the) effects
- raḥmati
- رَحْمَتِ
- (of the) Mercy
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- kayfa
- كَيْفَ
- how
- yuḥ'yī
- يُحْىِ
- He gives life
- l-arḍa
- ٱلْأَرْضَ
- (to) the earth
- baʿda
- بَعْدَ
- after
- mawtihā
- مَوْتِهَآۚ
- its death
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- lamuḥ'yī
- لَمُحْىِ
- surely He (will) give life
- l-mawtā
- ٱلْمَوْتَىٰۖ
- (to) the dead
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- And He
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- (is) on
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- every
- shayin
- شَىْءٍ
- thing
- qadīrun
- قَدِيرٌ
- All-Powerful
So observe the effects of the mercy of Allah – how He gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed, that [same one] will give life to the dead, and He is over all things competent. (QS. [30] Ar-Rum: 50)Tafsir
