Al-Qur'an Surah Ali 'Imran Verse 182
Ali 'Imran [3]: 182 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
ذٰلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ اَيْدِيْكُمْ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلَّامٍ لِّلْعَبِيْدِۚ (آل عمران : ٣)
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- bimā
- بِمَا
- (is) because
- qaddamat
- قَدَّمَتْ
- (of what) sent forth
- aydīkum
- أَيْدِيكُمْ
- your hands
- wa-anna
- وَأَنَّ
- and that
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- laysa
- لَيْسَ
- is not
- biẓallāmin
- بِظَلَّامٍ
- unjust
- lil'ʿabīdi
- لِّلْعَبِيدِ
- to (His) slaves
Transliteration:
Zaalika bimaa qaddamat aideekum wa annal laaha laisa bizallaamil lil'abeed(QS. ʾĀl ʿImrān:182)
English / Sahih Translation:
That is for what your hands have put forth and because Allah is not ever unjust to [His] servants." (QS. Ali 'Imran, ayah 182)
Mufti Taqi Usmani
This is due to what your hands sent ahead and that Allah is not cruel to His servants.”

This is ˹the reward˺ for what your hands have done. And Allah is never unjust to ˹His˺ creation.”

That (is) because (of) what your hands advanced/presented and that God is not with an unjust/oppressor to the worshippers .

Tafsir jalalayn
When they are thrown into [the Fire], it will be said to them; That, punishment, is for what your hands have sent before; `hands' are used to designate a human being because most actions are performed with them; for God is never unjust towards His servants', punishing them without them having sinned.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
and We shall say;"Taste you the torment of the burning (Fire)." This is because of that which your hands have sent before you. And certainly, Allah is never unjust to (His) servants.
They will be addressed like this as a way of chastising, criticism, disgrace and humiliation.
