Al-Qur'an Surah Ali 'Imran Verse 116
Ali 'Imran [3]: 116 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لَنْ تُغْنِيَ عَنْهُمْ اَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلَآ اَوْلَادُهُمْ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ شَيْـًٔا ۗ وَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ اَصْحٰبُ النَّارِ ۚ هُمْ فِيْهَا خٰلِدُوْنَ (آل عمران : ٣)

- Indeed
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieved

- لَن
- never
- tugh'niya
- تُغْنِىَ
- will avail
- ʿanhum
- عَنْهُمْ
- [for] them
- amwāluhum
- أَمْوَٰلُهُمْ
- their wealth

- وَلَآ

- أَوْلَٰدُهُم
- their children

- مِّنَ

- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah

- شَيْـًٔاۖ

- وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- and those
- aṣḥābu
- أَصْحَٰبُ
- (are the) companions
- l-nāri
- ٱلنَّارِۚ
- (of) the Fire
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- in it
- khālidūna
- خَٰلِدُونَ
- (will) abide forever
Transliteration:
Innal lazeena kafaroo lan tughniya 'anhum amwaalum wa laaa awlaaduhum minal laahi shai anw wa ulaaa'ika Ashaabun Naar; hum feehaa khaalidoon(QS. ʾĀl ʿImrān:116)
English / Sahih Translation:
Indeed, those who disbelieve – never will their wealth or their children avail them against Allah at all, and those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally. (QS. Ali 'Imran, ayah 116)

Surely, those who disbelieve, neither their wealth nor their children shall help them against Allah; and they are the people of the Fire. They shall be there forever.

English Literal
That those who disbelieved, their properties/possessions/wealths and nor their children enrich (them) from God a thing, and those are the fire`s company , they are in it immortally/eternally.

The likeness of what they spend in this life of the world is as the likeness of wind wherein is a cold blast that falls upon the harvest of a people who have wronged themselves and destroys it. It is not Allah who wrongs them, but it is themselves they wrong.

Surely, those who reject Faith (disbelieve in Muhammad SAW as being Allah's Prophet and in all that which he has brought from Allah), neither their properties, nor their offspring will avail them aught against Allah. Tafsir jalalayn
As for the disbelievers, their riches shall not avail, protect, them, neither their children, against God, that is, against His chastisement; these two are singled out for mention because a person usually avails himself either by paying a ransom, or by [resorting to] the help of his children; those are the inhabitants of the Fire, abiding therein.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ
Surely, those who disbelieve,
Allah mentions the disbelieving polytheists;
لَن تُغْنِيَ عَنْهُمْ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلَا أَوْلَادُهُم مِّنَ اللّهِ شَيْيًا
neither their properties nor their offspring will avail them against Allah,
meaning, nothing can avert Allah's torment and punishment from striking them.
وَأُوْلَـيِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ
They are the dwellers of the Fire, therein they will abide.
The Parable of What the Disbelievers Spend in This Life
Allah gave a parable for what the disbelievers spend in this life
